The best restaurants serving Greek food in England

Lovely, good quality, well cooked, tasty food. Excellent service and value for money. Generous portions as well. Highly recommended!

This place was a real find. We were visiting for one evening only to have an experience night at the Warwick Gin Company and needed somewhere close by to eat prior. Having no knowledge of the area we arrived not knowing what places we would find to eat. The outside is plain and just informs you the restaurant is Greek. There was one table taken so not queuing down the street but the inside looked neat and tidy, and we didn't have too much time so in we went. From the onset, being quiet was a positive because the owner poured his undivided attention onto us. Whilst we perused the menu, he brought some small samples of the specials and he left them with us to try. Being a small restaurant we could see and hear the chef which made the whole experience good. We ordered one of the specials (Hirino Me Prasso) and the mixed grill, with a side of pitta and Tzatziki. The mixed grill also came with Oregano Fries and salad. The special came with garlic bread and feta and we ordered a house red to drink. The service was prompt and unobtrusive. Our host knew when to chat and when to leave us be. When we did chat, he was so polite and friendly, recounting his memories of Greece amongst other things. The food when it came was as good if not better than we'd hoped and we found some space for some traditional desserts. If and when, I visit this area again, I'll be sure to come and eat here again.

Took my mum for a coffee lunch bite. The food and coffee was lovely, the cake in particular. Mum had the Greek Orange cake and I had the Walnut cake and they were absolutely delicious. For a savoury treat we tried the spinach and feta pastry wrap and sausage pastry which were both lovely.

Most authentic Greek place in Mansfield. Lived in Greece enough to say that.Amazing! OPA special club sandwich, Gyros, souvlaki and everything else we tried ! Lovely guys behind the counter.Regular place to the list!. Recommend it big time !

What an amazing find! I spent the first 27 years of my life visiting my Yaya in Greece This is the most authentic Greek food you can get. Amazing customer service and such good value. My friend had a delicious Chicken 'The Portion' and couldn't finish half of it, she saved the other half for her dinner! I had the amazing pork Souvalki. We both found our food incredibly good. I highly recommend trying anything from The Pitta!

Wonderful independent cafe, with incredible food and service! Service - owner and staff incredibly friendly and hugely welcoming Food - wonderful savoury and sweet delights - huge selection and great to have variety of portion sizes too (e.g., my mum was not overly hungry, so had a bite sized treat. I had a bigger appetite, so decided to have a bigger pastry) Drinks - coffee (hot and tasty). Have good selection of teas too. Wonderful little tables outside - great on a warm day.

Absolutely stunning!! If you close your eyes you could almost be eating in a taverna in Greece! The staff were lovely, the restaurant was immaculately clean and the food was delicious. Great value for money, authentic & cooked very well - a must try!

We dined in their upstairs restaurant. Good choice of kebabs. Ended up getting the mixed gyros - chicken & pork. Came with chips, salad and bread. Very filling. It is a BYO so we brought along some rather apt Mythos beers to drink with our meal.

Absolutely amazing cafe restaurant! Small family and friendly business. Had chicken gyros and then tiramisu, probably the best I ever had. It was that good. Highly recommend it for lunchtime or coffee and dessert anytime of the day. Will be soon.

Absolutely fantastic food! True authentic Greek food that is as good as being in Greece. Cant recommend enough. Very generous portion sizes served by people who care.

my friends have used this place a few times and said it was good.so thought i better try it.there is a full takeaway menu ranging from burgers,pizza,kebabs etc.the best part of this takeaway is it is joined on to a pub,the clarendon and they allow the takeaway to plate your meal up and serve it in the pub at selected tables.what could be better than a few drinks and a kebab.the food was good and was presented well.i had mixed kebab as did most of us.a couple had pizzas and all went down well.my meal was £8.50 and i thought that was pretty decent value.its a good set up let’s hope it continues

Super fish platter, very good wine and lovely friendly atmosphere. A real old country pub traditional yet modern in that the cuisine offered is both English and Greek so is wide enough to suit many tastes. Many to feel very welcome and i summer a good place to visit after a long country walk nearby and there are many of them.
