In December 2020 my parents purchased gift cards for myself and my partner, we successfully used mine. We tried to use hers but we were turned away due to too many people in the restaurant, and were unable to use them during the rest of the validation period (partly due to health concerns in my girlfriend's family). I have had extensive communication with Pizza Hut and they have been unwilling to reinstate the gift cards. They stated that the time length of 12/24 months is reasonable, yet when I tried to explain mitigating circumstances they were uninterested. I had a similar situation with another retailer, and they extended the gift card of my partner. Gift cards are designed to be exchanged for goods at the company you are purchasing from, and this wasn't the case here.
