The Malt Shovel is quaint pub which serves good food at a reasonable price. Jack and his team are always welcoming and friendly. All the staff work so hard even when they are very busy, they always have a smile. The food they serve considering the kitchen is small is excellent. The pub is excellent to watch sport. Well done to Jack and his team.

Not only is this pub dog friendly, with large rear garden and outdoor seating, though hounds are allowed inside too, when we got our Sunday roast they gave our dogs a mini bowl too! Now I don't know if that was a end of day thing, but we all thought it was best place ever! The roast was delicious and huge, so while not cheap end, you got total value for money. Staff were friendly, as were the clientele (don't know what that negative review was on about as this is in the poshest part of Bridgwater).
