Went in on Saturday night for drinks. Sat by the fire and started to chat. Bar lady came over and said all customers had to move to the snug as the pub had been booked for a party. The snug is the size of a very small living room and they put 20 people in it. We couldn’t move, it’s was crammed and noisy and some people had to stand. When we asked could we just stay in the bar area was told they would ask the birthday girl if she minded but then never came back to us. We finished our drink quickly and left. Might be useful to tell your paying customers there is a party booked before they order drinks so they can check there’s going to be room to enjoy the drink first. Won’t be going back which is a shame because it’s my friends local and she wanted to try it out to be her regular place.
