Arrived and it was fairly busy. Staff said it would be a wait for food, but didn’t realise it would take 45 minutes for brunch to arrive. Raised it a few times with staff they kept saying they will check and they are busy. When it arrived, it wasn’t hot, and then when asked for the bill there was no receipt just the card machine with the amount due. First time and last time at Bonbon.

The restaurant is very attractive. The service was friendly and keen to please. My crab and sweetcorn soup was very tasty. Our main meals were equally delicious and generous. Recommended

We liked 80% of all the dishes ordered for our lavish dim sum lunch, which is unusually good for us. In a quiet setting with some street parking nearby, the attractive room was spacious. Only 2 wait staff but they seemed to manage while it remained half full.

The service was incredibly slow with orders being forgotten and simple requests taking an inordinate amount of time - causing serious frustration across most of the diners for breakfast. I felt sorry for the staff - they were obviously young and inexperienced but there was no one in charge. More disappointing was the food - our order of a selection of Italians breads and some jams before ordering brunch was (eventually) served up with what looked like a Lidl Value white loaf with little plastic pots of cheap jam. Again, felt sorry for the staff as we listened to every customer leaving expressing their frustration as they left. This sort of place could be quite good but clearly lacks any type of leadership.

Mientras almorzábamos aquí, descubrimos que nuestras reservas de apartamentos habían sido canceladas. El dueño de la cafetería amablemente nos permitió usar el área del salón para organizar un lugar para quedarse. Éramos cuatro y mucho equipaje. Tardamos cinco horas en reservar habitaciones. Durante ese tiempo, siguieron trayéndonos té, café y agua. Nos hicieron sentir como en casa en un momento muy estresante. Cuando finalmente nos fuimos, el camarero nos ayudó a encontrar un taxi. No podemos agradecerles lo suficiente.
