The best restaurants serving Default food in Castle Cambridge East of England

Drinks were excellent, food was good. My problem is having a communal toilet - what a bizarre idea. You go into the toilets and doors are marked for men and women. Most men don’t want to be in a cubicle next to a woman and vice versa . Extremely embarrassing

A very delicious fresh cream frangipane fruit tart, well made and of high quality. Not overly sweet and a good size. I had a smooth but strong americano with milk that was to temperature. Would highly recommend.

It is a nice venue, with a range of table options. There are options in little side rooms, a couple of larger rooms with multiple tables and an outside courtyard too. The staff were friendly and attentive. The food was good overall. Between our group we had: burgers which were decent; a large fish and chips; a lamb stew; and children’s menus. I thought the children’s meals were a bit small. The piece of fish could have been bigger and more chips would have filled them up for little extra cost. The fondant was better than the sticky toffee pudding. The crumble went down well. I really enjoyed the Punter blonde beer. Very nice.

We popped in for lunch; the staff were very welcoming and friendly, there was a range of well kept beers. Our food was very good, particularly the beef coquettes. Highly recommended.

If you’re in Cambridge and looking for the most perfect gluten free fish and chips with a great, clean pint, this is the place! All starters bar a couple are gf, as well as the sides and sauces with a few options of different flavoured batters to create your own meal, hats off to the chefs! Couldn’t ask for better service, all staff were brilliant! Will definitely have to come back many more times with the options available!
