The best restaurants serving Chinese food in Chester-le-Street North and East County Durham North East

Been coming to Kens for 40 years now,finest chinese in the land, chicken curry still the best.. Great staff very helpful. Singapore Chow Mein also is gorgeous. Probably the only Chinese take away I know where everyone refers to it as Kens(the owner) as opposed to it's real name Sunrise. Now has his sister helping out on the counter. Great service. Probably tried everything on the menu by now all great and tasty. Looking forward to him opening again think I have Chicken Curry deficit!! Just keep going back for a chicken curry hot hot hot

Visited the restaurant again for the first time in years and was not disappointed. Ordered the set banquet (but tweaked a couple of choices). The food was absolutely amazing. Beautifully presented, freshly made to order, great portion sizes and honestly, absolutely delicious. Service was excellent too. Highly recommend a visit. We will definitely be back!

The chips with batter were great; one portion would easily feed two, service was quick and friendly. I’m told the spam fritter was delicious, the batter lovely and crisp, so I assume the same would be true of fish. Avoid the pies, however. Microwaved to such an extent the pastry was like titanium. Except for one small spot in the middle of the lid. Literally inedible. I would likely have given this an “Ecellent” had I ordered something other than a pie.
