The best restaurants in Resolven Neath Port Talbot South Wales

I pop here some weekends for breakfast, just make sure your hungry, freshly cooked food, lovely staff, they are now open Friday and Saturday evenings as well. Unfortunately it does get busy and some people fill up the car park from the local car boot on a Saturday. I love the theme of the venue as well.

What a find!! 2 mins off the a465, with very little else around, this cool place should be heaving. If you go to the McDonald's 5 mins up the road you're seriously missing out and probably spending the same amount of money.

Lovely staff but the quality is up and down here. Egg Foo Yung is meant to be an omelette dish with added beansprouts, etc. and meat / mushrooms depending upon what you want. Their egg foo yung is quite unique in being almost entirely devoid of egg! It's basically just fried beansprouts with a few fragments of scrambled egg floating in about quarter of a pint of oil and water. Also they've recently started sending meals out in foil containers, they leak and can't be microwaved. Whoever is in the kitchen needs a kick up the pants! My decision to eat from this establishment was informed by the displayed food hygiene rating of 4/5, (Good).

Really enjoyed my food with massive portions. Cash only which is not convenient. The menu offered various forms of potato but we were told we could only have chips. My scampi and chips were great but hubby wasn’t that impressed with his steak and ale pie, with chips. Strangely it was Sunday lunch time but no Sunday lunches were on offer. Amused by the old electric light switch and bifold door in the ladies toilet. Someone spends time cleaning the many very shiny horse brasses around the pub.
