A great wee find. Me and my husband both had steak paninis and they were amazing! Great sized portion and side of chips were lovely too! They were busy but the chefs obviously were working hard as there wasn’t a long wait for food. Friendly staff and atmosphere. Definitely recommend and will be back.

The Barn Tearoom is run by the lovely Maxine and her team of wonderful volunteers. Maxine is a beautiful baker and her scones are the best I’ve ever had. Her homemade soups are delicious too. If you’re passing, pop in for a tea, coffee, soup, sandwich or a wee scone! Wee play area in the corner for young kids too.

I was staying with family in the area who were looking for a "Local" rather than a big-chain Pub within walking distance. Popped in on a Saturday night just for drinks (not for food) .....The service was good, warm & friendly, as was the atmosphere. The cocktails were flowing as were the pints. They will definately be back.

Took my mum for an early Mother’s Day and it was amazing, food was great and the drinks were even better, big thank you to our server EMMA!! She was fabulous, she went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and overall had a really bubbly personality❤️ would definitely recommend for food and drinks!

The Spateson Inn is under new management and what a great job Susan is doing! It’s now much more of a community hub with books to read, board games to play, food offers and local community groups meeting there to do their thing. It’s bright, well-lit, modern, airy, spacious, welcoming and warm. I’ve only tried a few dishes to eat and both were good. It also has free parking, is dog friendly and on the bus route. Outdoor seating is available too for the nicer weather.

Just popped in for a quick pint. Nice bar area with 2 big screens. Pint of Tennents, Boe Violet and Slimline £10.15 Don't think they serve food other than bar snacks.

Went here after receiving a Manor View voucher for Xmas. Was not overly impressed. We had booked a table for 4pm on Thursday. Arrived, and the restaurant was quiet (maybe 2 other tables had people at them), but had to wait 5 minutes before someone appeared to take or booking. We both ordered the Chicken tempura with a chilli and corriander batter. The batter was not a crispy light tempura batter, but the batter you would expect on fish from a fish and chip shop. It was greasy, and had a garnish of chilli on top of the batter - so it wasnt a chilli/corriander batter at all. It was edible - but not what was expected. I ordered the Rib eye steak, and my partner ordered the duo of beef. My partner said she enjoyed her main. My steak was cooked rare as requested, but was tough and flavourless - tasted like a cheap piece of meat. And my chips wererock hard. The desserts were just OK. We ordered a bottle of wine and one soft drink. And the bill totalled £145. Which automatically included a 10% service charge. The service during the meal - I would say was minimal/subpar. No-one asked if everything was to our liking during the meal or was that ok when they took the plates away.. I had asked for table salt as none of there grinders were working very well - it never arrived. I certainly didnt feel as though the staff were that interested in if we enjoyed our meal. At best - this was slightly better than cheap and cheerful pub grub....but it was not £145 worth. I wouldnt be going back (even if I had another voucher).

The restaurant is beautiful but that’s really where it ends. Style over substance and the food is pretty low quality for the price… really disappointed. Portions are also quite small considering. Toasty was made with cheap supermarket bread for £11 and my husbands burger at £17 you could get better at a chain. I wouldn’t waste my money coming back here.
