The best restaurants in Ardglass Down South Eastern NI

Moved to the area recently and Eastcoast was recommended to us. Simply the freshest seafood I have ever eaten. Excellent prices, superb quality and staff are knowledgeable and helpful. The business doesn't look like a shop from the outside, more like an old industrial building, however once in its clean and well stocked with fresh and frozen produce. Delighted to have this as my local fishmongers.

Lovely place but disappointed by the lack of sides such as veg and badly made dauphinoise so tiny ! flavour not there ! and portions sizes not great. Overpriced for the underwhelming dining experience got the impression it was a 'cook' not a chef in the kitchen . Wine not great cheap plonk ..prices outrageous !

A challenging golf course (especiallywhen the wind gets up and the Irish Sea beckons), spectacular scenery and the warmest hospitality you'll find anywhere. My particular favourite holes - the 1st gets you thinking from the off, a carry over the gully into the wind on the 2nd, the elevated tee shot on the 4th with bunkers and the sea waiting for any error, the beautiful par 5 11th (St John's) by Coney Island, and the often brutal par 3 12th. I can't wait to play the newly developed par 5 16th - it looks fabulous.

Excellent Mediterranean food and reasonably priced. We stopped here for Sunday lunch and both got the barbecue steak and chicken filled wraps. Just excellent.

Food -Scampie was good but given mayonnaise I stead of tartar sauce lovely and hot would go again for scampi but not for other food as quite expensive

Took us a while to find Currans but well worth it,friendly staff nice surroundings and excellent food, the Chilli Chicken starter was excellent,followed by Steak for my partner and Seabass for myself both delicious, I would thoroughly recommend.

Came across this chip shop by accident and so glad we did. We bought 2 fish and chips and I have to honestly say THE best fish and chips ever. Fish was huge perfectly cooked and crispy. Chips were fresh nicely cooked and not greasy. Staff were lovely and the place was spotless. I'd give it 10 stars if I could.
