The best restaurants in West Midlands

Last week - first visit, had a bacon and egg sandwich - bacon - rare, prefer it crispier, so this week asked for bacon to be well done. Now i know the difference between well done and decimated (burnt) - it seems you do not. Lets try for third time lucky next week!!

Also known as Lucy's Café, it's found along from the main street & Town Hall in the direction of the train station and the new arts centre (yet to open). The breakfasts, lunches and snacks are very tasty — I've never had anything below standard here. They keep it simple, and prices are quite low.

A proper old school. backstreet cafe run by people who care so your plate will be clean, A find! Quality at a reasonable price. Tim and Lorraine will never be rich but they will have a wide network of friends. Not the ritz but its clean and there is always plenty of banter!.

El mejor desayuno en Birmingham. Papá tiene el desayuno pequeño (carnoso), yo tengo la verdura tan buena relación calidad-precio. A Noel le encanta el pastel de pastores recién cocinado. Gran opción para todos

The cakes were very nice but the tables were extremely dirty. We moved tables from a round one which had book pages decoupaged on it. These tables need re - covering and varnishing properly or a glass cover putting over, as they are black and sticky around the edges. They are not wipeable in their current format. The floor was also very dirty. We won't be back as Shrewsbury has plenty of nicer options for coffee and cake.

Lovely family feel. Great proper home cooked food. Manager and staff came out and spoke to us, made us feel like home. 10/10 recommend. Thanks again see you next year.

Al azar decidimos probar este restaurante ya que queríamos probar un lugar diferente en Chinatown. ¡Qué feliz lo hicimos! El servicio fue excelente, muy acogedor y servicial. Fuimos por los platos de sopa de fideos, ambos platos que pedimos eran muy sabrosos y las raciones eran muy generosas. Se nota que la comida se cocina con cuidado y utiliza ingredientes auténticos. También adaptan las especias de cada plato a su preferencia, lo cual fue un buen toque. Buena selección de bebidas también! ¡Sin duda volveremos!

Great food, couple of twists to surprise. Decent prices and prompt delivery. Very happy to have a slightly refreshing taste about.

Came in on Saturday evening to collect some food for me and my partner , had the munchbox with Prawns , Strips and Mac n Cheese , didn’t disappoint atall . Banging food , not waiting too long either 👌🏻 . Definately be back 🔥

Staying in Burton for one night and decided to give this takeaway a go. Very good food all round. Tiny criticism - crispy duck could have been crisped up a bit more and shredded. Other than that, the food was spot on. Crispy chilli chicken is 5/5 The guy serving is very polite and helpful.. Prices are very reasonable.

Pleasantly surprised at the quirky setting of the cafe..service efficient & polite good enough menu for brunch & choice of fruit teas as well as normal tea & coffee..clean & inviting ..will be returning
