The best restaurants in Alfold, Cranleigh Rural and Ellens Green Waverley South East

Cooking quality and range of an unusually high standard for an independent eatery these days. Full 'English', sourdough, buttermilk + fruit pancakes, hot drinks, even vegan option skilfully prepared and served in timely order. Cakes on display to rival any decent patisserie outlet. Layout, decor and ambience very relaxing and a treat to visit. Dogs allowed. Wifi available and toilets well kitted out. Not super cheap but worth the price.

Popped in here last week as it’s my local and never been! Very welcoming and lovely old traditional feel to it (not many pubs left like this!) there were two open fires. We were all very impressed with the food and service. The beef balls starter was absolutely amazing 😻 We will be returning very soon to try the Sunday roast! Was so impressed with the food!
