The best restaurants in Northborough Peterborough East of England

Booked a table for 2 ppl at 13.15hrs on a Sunday as it was our wedding anniversary and wanted something a little different. Boy did we get it! Took nearly 50 mins to get the starter (which was just bread and oil) with main course being delivered 15 mins later. Most main course choices where 'shared' so if you didn't agree on what you wanted - tough. The lamb was still baaaaaaing when it came out (guess that's what gourmet food is like 🥴) and half way through the meal water started pouring through the ceiling meaning we had to relocate (no assistance given by the staff) to a table further away from the leak. By the time we'd moved the rest of the food had gone cold. All but one other cover had left and we seemed to have got forgotten. Had to go and find someone to ask about getting the bill. Had one round of drinks knocked off for the 'inconvenience' of the leak although nothing was said by the staff. Won't be rushing back.

The staff here are amazing the food is also anything on the menu I've most probably tried and it's all outstanding. M and my other half order here all the time. Food is hot when delivered and really nice. They take into consideration about allergy so people are safe

I really wanted to have a positive review to write, but sadly it was really underwhelming. We booked for Sunday lunch for a special celebration for quite a large booking and we made our reservation weeks in advance and also pre ordered. We arrived and we had to promt the waitress twice to order our drinks, she then came to take our food order, but explained we had pre ordered already. The waitresses were polite and explained that the sharing 800g rib of beef was unavailable, so something else Was chosen. Unfortunately two of the main meals came out with no sides, followed by couple more mains and we had to wait for Sides/Yorkshires. Everything came out at different times and our meat was getting cold, so we ended up eating most of the meat without the rest of our meal complete. We shared two Yorkshires between 6 adults, which didn’t seem enough. We ordered dessert, but everything was just slow and we really wanted to have good things to say, especially as friends of ours traveled from Nottingham specifically, but we were just underwhelmed and disappointed by our meals unfortunately.
