The best restaurants in Braunston and Belton Rutland East Midlands

We hadn't been to The Blue Ball in Braunton in Rutland for a couple of years, but after some locals raved about the Sunday lunch under new ownership, we decided to give it another go. We're so glad we did! From the moment we walked in, the service was fantastic – friendly, attentive and efficient. We were delighted to find our favourite table was still in the same spot, and with the fire roaring away, it made for a wonderfully cosy return. The Sunday lunch itself was absolutely delicious. Huge portions of proper, home-cooked food which was cooked to perfection and packed with flavour. It was clear the new owners are doing something right. We had a lovely, relaxed lunch and will definitely be back again soon. Highly recommended!

Good value freshly cooked breakfast. Nice small menu. Gluten free snacks available. Lovely coffee and cake the previous day. Friendly staff. Will be back.

We had a dinner party for 10 people on Friday 3 January and it was excellent. The food was delicious- good portions, exceptional quality and very tasty! Very good service, attentive and helpful. Highly recommend.
