Zorba's Greek Restaurant in Coventry

Never been before ..glad I finally made the effort.. food was amazing. Service great.. not rushed.. we hada really good evening .will definitely return

A lovely family restaurant where the staff are warm and inviting. We went on a busy Friday night and the restaurant was very busy. The food that came out was superb and despite the restaurant being full, no one seemed to be waiting for their orders. We'll worth a return visit

Pre pandemic used Zorbas regular 10/06/23 first time back for my 71st Birthday. Booked for 5pm as had youngster with us . Got there doors not open had to ring to get then to open doors . Owner apologised on phone said she was sorry she was getting changed form her other job did not realise staff had not opened doors. Once in were told to sit where ever we liked as they were not going to be busy ! No wonder . No up to date menus . we’re given a QR code to order online . Waiter couldn’t understand English did not know what a lime and soda was so ended up with water . Ordered the pork was inedible tough and fatty . As the only other table of three occupied confirmed by sending his back . Wrong meals being bought out to other tables owner having to apologise and sort out . My sons klefftica was tasteless and very pale in colour . My sword fish was so small it looked like a sprat. Kept trying to get waiters attention about tough pork meal he kept saying in a minute then never coming back.. so gave up Then when asking to order dessert for my daughter same waiter kept bypassing us eventually owner came out she took order.when the baklava came out two tiny pieces for £6.50 To say will never go in Zorbas again is an understatement Shame as it used to be really good Poor service Bad food Over priced for portions No reply from complaint email sent to owner

Excellent in every way - the food was fresh, authentic and delicious and the service was exceptional. We were greeted like old friends even though it was our first visit. We’re not locals but will definitely be back. Thanks for being so lovely on our anniversary. We had a lovely time.

Went there for my friends birthday, the food was delicious and the staff where superb. Friendly and fun. Did a bit of Greek dancing at the end (was tough after such a delicious meal) could not recommend highly enough!

Passed Zorbas many times and thought it was about time we visited. It was near Christmas and there were a couple of large parties in. The place is much bigger than it looks from outside. Menu is quite diverse and I would say covers every taste. Food was lovely. 4 of us in my company and we all enjoyed our meals. After everyone had finished eating the music cranked and the dancing began with the waiters leading the Greek dancing. Not sure if this is a regular Friday night experience or just because it was Christmas but we had a brilliant night and I would recommend it to all.

The reason why I rated it as a 2 was because the service was poor having to wait 20 minutes for a drink because they had not got enough glasses, and there was a 12 strong group of really loud men shouting over each other to the point that myself and our friends couldn’t here ourselves talk and the staff did nothing to quiet them down it got to a point when another couple left rather abruptly because of the discomfort they were causing. I wouldn’t recommend a return especially at £30 per head as the bland food was like mush piled on a plate

Food was lovely, traditional greek cuisine with an exceptional welcome from the family. We will definitely be returning

We've been trying to go to Zorba's for years. It's one of those place, you see it coming from the city centre as you go down the hill on Radford Road - must go there, love Greek food! Managed to get in tonight, which was never possible before COVID. Greeted as we came in by delightful youngsters, who turned out to be the children of the owners. We were sat down and ordered drinks. The enthusiasm of the staff was infectious and the authentic range of food was great to see. I had Dolmades to start and my wife had tzatziki. Dolmades included meat and were warm with a tomato sauce, clearly made in house and very good. Tzatziki also went down well. I had Kleftico and my wife had stuffed peppers. Kleftico had the benefit of tasting of lamb - had it many times before where the lamb was just the substance underneath, this was not overwhelmed but still very tasty. Stuffed peppers were very nice but portion too large to finish! All staff were incredibly warm, helpful and very happy to talk about the food of which they were rightly proud. Very happen to return whenever we can.

Been here since i was a little girl with my family so when i found out it was my restaurant for my hen party i was ecstatic. And it didn’t disappoint! Absolutely fantastic service from start to finish. Very accommodating towards needs of guests attending nothing was too much trouble. The effort they went to with my family in the organisation of the evening i cant thank them enough. Sammy and the team were lovely and loved the personal touch in the evening on congratulating me on my upcoming wedding, it was very heartwarming. Food was incredible and all my family and friends commented on how delicious it all was, the beef especially was a hit! Can’t wait to bring my soon to be husband to the restaurant and show off how incredible it is. Thank-You!!!!

We can not thank sammy and her team enough for the best night ever. We celebrated my sisters hen do here with 40+ of us. Accommodating was an understatement. Nothing was to much trouble, the staff worked so hard and were brilliant. The restaurant is decorated beautifully with a lovely feel to it. Wow wow wow is all we can say about the food considering there was so many of us the food came out hot and well presented with true Greek authenticity. The beef melted in your mouth and the lemon chicken was spectacular. It was all truly out of this world. Every part of of evening blew us away. Sammy the manager even popped in to bring us some bubble although she was not working that evening. I honestly can not recommend this place enough. We are already planning our next visit ( in smaller groups 😂) thank you to the amazing team on that night and the chefs. What a team what a great place what a night. Oppa !

This restaurant has been around for years and having visited Santorini earlier this year I was keen to give it a go. Let’s set the scene. It was a Friday night, a party of 10 and 8 in situ, not every table in use. The venue and atmosphere was authentic with good lighting, music and lots of noise! The waiters were very friendly but sadly the food was ok, nothing special but not awful also. I had to personally approach the bar for a drink as my first was empty for 10 minutes and when asked would we like sauce with our mains, it never arrived. I appreciate the restaurant had 2 x large groups but that should mean the basics are forgotten. Keep your customers “topped up” and if they make a request, follow it through if possible!!

We went there tonight for a family celebration because my daughter had just got a new job. Lovely restaurant, friendly staff and a relaxed atmosphere. The food was delicious, and the servings are very generous! One of the waiters asked us what the occasion was and when we told her she brought out a generous portion of chocolate cake with 3 spoons and said congratulations to my daughter on her new job. It was a lovely touch and when we asked for the bill the waiter brought it over with 3 shots on the house! We will definitely be returning, can't wait to try other dishes on the menu!
