Zeytoon in Camden

Ordered super spicy and got zero spice. When I went back to complain they refused to resolve. Avoid this place.

We visited this place on a cold, rainbow March afternoon to try out some authentic Persian fare. We are vegetarians, so our expectations were very low to begin with. But it was not a disappointing experience. The ambience and the decor of the place are definitely inviting. We started with the Panir Sabji starter which was frankly disappointing, to say the least. It was a plate full of parsley and tarragon with one tiny chunk of salted cheese and some walnuts on the side. Not something that I'd want to start my lunch with. The hummus and freshly made naan was fantastic though. KASHK-E-BADEMJAN was interesting and we enjoyed having it with the naan. The olives were yummy too. For the main course, we ordered the CHELOW KHORESHT-E-BAAMIEH and the SABZI CHELOW alongwith saffron rice which were both done well. All of these delicacies were new to us and it was a pleasant experience trying out all the dishes. We finished with FALOUDEH BASATANI, which was okay. The service was quick and the last serving us was attentive and polite. We will recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to try out Persian food.

We had the pleasure of dining at the Zaytoon durring our recent trip to London. The food (e.g. King Prawns, Chelow Khoresht-e Fesenjan with Chicken) was mouth-wateringly scrumptious and - after a mixed choice of starters - almost more than we could eat. Service was very friendly and attentive as well. Absolutely recommended.

Avoid! Avoid! Avoid! I wouldn’t even give them 1 star if that was an option. I booked a table for my family of 9 for Eid, (siblings, in-laws, etc) and the booking was for 5pm. We arrived on time and ordered our drinks and main courses. We finished eating at 6:15pm and asked to order tea and desserts. The owners refused to serve us anything else because they said they had another booking and needed the table. The restaurant was empty except us and a table of 2 girls sitting by the window. I asked what time the other booking was for and they said 6:40 so after practically begging to be allowed to order a dessert, they said they could manage to serve a falooda, (as if they were doing us a favour for our business)! I’ve never experienced such bad service from a restaurant, we had travelled a long way to visit and the owners and waitresses who were Muslim, (hijab wearing) women could see we were there as a family to celebrate Eid. They made us feel so unwelcome. We left feeling so disappointed because when we phoned to book the table the day before, they had not mentioned that we would only have such a short time allowed in the restaurant. What kind of restaurant only allows a group of 9 an hour for a meal. Had they of advised that we would only be allowed to stay an hour or an hour and a half then we wouldn’t have bothered travelling over an hour to dine here especially as we were celebrating Eid as a family! I found this rude. At a time when small businesses are struggling, one would think custom and spending would be appreciated. It was our first visit here and will certainly be our last. To top it off, they tried to charge £15 service charge when the service was so poor. The food was nothing special and the service was despicable. When Muslims can’t welcome other Muslims on Eid in the food and hospitality industry what else can be said. Don’t bother going here, there’s plenty of alternatives in the area. Overpriced for what it is and customer service is shameful, spend your money elsewhere, we spent £150 but wish we’d gone somewhere where we could have enjoyed a 3 course meal and finished with dessert/tea/coffee as most people want to on an evening out to socialise with friends and family. Terribly rude inconsiderate people working here. Standard food, not worth it. They chat £4.95 for a 1.5l bottle of volvic water, come on at least dress it up in a smart bottle if you’re going to try and rip customers off like that, daylight robbery, 80p on Tesco! Avoid! Avoid! Avoid!

We visited this place on 19/01/2020. First of all, this is not a Persian restaurant; It might be called an Afghan restaurant. Secondly, we were really disappointed with the quality of the food that was served to us. We were so hungry so had the rice only. We even asked before ordering if the food was cooked in Persian style, in particular, Jojeh Kebab that must be have been marinated in saffron and yoghurt. The waitress said yes!!! Later when we complained about the quality the other waiter said they actually do not marinate the chicken in Saffron and is not Persian style. When we said that the quality of food is poor, the waitress said everyone like it!!! no apologies offered! Not recommended at all!

It’s a few years since I visited Zeytoon but I’m pleased to say the standards are just as high. The staff are pleasant and really helpful in assisting if you need help with the menu. We had a mixture of starters including BURANI BADEMJAN they were all delicious. As there were 4 of use we went for the ZAYTOON SPECIAL which is only available as a dish for 4 people. You need a good appetite! See photo. All of it was beautifully cooked and presented and the prices for what you get are reasonable. If you go you won’t be disappointed.

Afghan and Persian restaurant in Cricklewood. They serve large portions. I enjoyed the kebobs. The staff ensured a pleasant experience. They don’t serve alcohol but they had a lot of smoothies and other non-alcoholic beverages on the menu.

I loved the atmosphere and design of the restaurant. Cosy and relaxing. Lovely Traditional design. High quality, best service, nice people serving with a fantastic attitude and smile. Fantastic food. All the food and starters very delicious. I recomand this restaurant to anyone who likes to eat the best Iranian dishes.

I'm honestly not sure why this place is rated so low. The prices are quite cheap and basically the same as other persian restaurants in the area, and certainly a lot cheaper than places more central. My lamb kebab was delicious, cooked perfectly and came with a generous helping of saffron rice. We also had various starters to share all of which were delicious. Food came out promptly, the bread was freshly made. I would have personally preferred a slightly thicker style of bread but that's just me. Service was friendly and forthcoming. The only thing I would have liked to see is slightly more higher volume in music as the very quiet music makes you feel quite self aware when talking otherwise in this spacious and not too crowded place.

Zeytoon restaurant is over priced for a North West London location, and the portions are very small. For 2 people it cost me over £55, unacceptable and the food was generally quite cold and they took ages to serve! I’m surprised they can make a profit from the restaurant as it generally always empty. Hence this should tell you to reduce your prices and learn from other established restaurants in the same area!

Just moved to the area and came here for the first time. Lovely food and friendly service - highly recommended!

It was my second trip to Zeytoon in a week tonight, and it was even more delicious the second time! The service is excellent and the staff couldn’t be friendlier or more helpful. In our group there were a number of dietary requirements which they gladly catered for. Highly recommend!

Cenamos aquí con los fallos. La comida era increíble, el servicio era muy agradable. El propietario se acercó a nuestra mesa y nos saludó en farsi, antes de ser increíblemente cortés de usar al pedir nuestra comida.La comida era 10/10, y soy muy exigente. Definitivamente lo recomendaría!Pida la salsa de ensalada rosa; )

Yesterday evening, we got there by occasion and were suprised by the openness and kindness of the owners and their tasty food. they offered us several vegetarian dishes even only two of them were declared as vegetarian on the menu. The interior of the restaurant was beautifully decorated and the food was delicious and very tasty. The gave us huge portions for a quiet small price. It was a wonderful experience and we‘ll come again! Thank you Zaytoon :)

Very beautiful interior!! My family and i visited this restaurant for our dinner. We ordered a range and everything was delicious! The mantu and Fesen Jan was mouth watering.

Had an excellent dinner here, along with dessert with my family. I would highly recommend visiting this restaurant if you enjoy Persian & Afghan Cuisine. Very good place to host a dinner party or to have a quiet meal.

Agradable velada relajante con la familia. El personal es muy acogedor y amable. El interior es tradicional y tiene un espejo secreto colgado en la pared (los niños estaban intrigados por él). La comida era excelente. Pedí el Zaytoon Special y el pollo era tan tierno y suave como jugoso y los kebabs de carne eran agradables y jugosos. Definitivamente recomiendo este plato para un grupo grande, ya que también es generoso en su cantidad de comida. No tuve problemas para pagar con tarjeta. En general, una experiencia maravillosa y sin duda recomiendo este lugar a todos. Comida de buena calidad y excelente relación calidad-precio.

Good family restaurant - freshly made bread is a delight- the cheloob kebab is tasty and consistently good and good value - the restaurant is homely and endearing - would recommend if you are in the area

Me fue presentado por un amigo a este lugar, y estaba feliz de encontrar la comida y el servicio era muy bueno. Así fue el ambiente, muy bien decoradas. Encargué la cocina Persa Sultani normal, que era agradable, pero no similar al de la mayoría de los otros restaurantes iraníes. Aunque desearía encargué lo mi amigo tenía piezas de cordero con encantadora suculento arroz mezclado con Pasas sultaninas . y frutos secos.

Estaba buscando un restaurante afgano / iraní decente en el oeste de Londres y encontré a Zeytoon. Honestamente puedo decir que valió la pena la visita. La decoración era muy agradable y tradicional, pero más que eso, la comida era excelente, con muy buenos tamaños de porción. Tuve Qabeli y fue perfecto

Este es un restaurante oscuro y frío! No era lo que esperaba. La decoración es muy bonita pero no mucho para convertir esta experiencia en un adecuado de música tradicional quizás, velas, algo para darle algo de vida. La comida es un poco cara me temo. El personal, sólo un hombre no era de lo más acogedor. No estoy seguro de que volveremos.

La comida era normal, he tenido mejores en otros restaurantes persas. El servicio fue decepcionante, parecía malhumorado y no muy acogedor. Esto sucedió la segunda vez que fui también, ya que pensé que la primera vez fue solo una coincidencia. Resulta que no fue así. Waiter trajo la cuenta solo 5 minutos después de la comida, la colocó sobre la mesa y se fue. Decidió no dar propina.

Was taken here by a work colleague on my visit to London. The woodwork and metalwork make it worth visiting just for that. The food was reasonable no issues but not outstanding.

The food was ok, but the waiter kept on trying to sell things that we didn't want. Also overcharged on the dishes and drinks, told the card machine didn't work and demanded cash and when we didn't have it, suddenly the card machine was working. Unpleasant experience - don't bother going here.

Decidí mirar el menú de fuera cuando se nos unió uno de los camareros prácticamente nos mendigar. (Debería haber sido una señal clara) pero decidí de todos modos. Una de las primeras cosas que el camarero nos dijo que era su máquina de tarjeta no funcionaba y solo aceptan efectivo! Pedimos su equivalente de pan naan, con un plato de pepino y tomates picados, que era realmente muy sencillas! Seguido por el plato mixto Grill, que estaba bastante sosa. Lo único bueno eran las bebidas de frutas en general. Nos sentimos extremadamente intimidados por los unos de los otros clientes que los propietarios parecían saber muy bien un montón de sonrisas que parecía mirar fijamente sin bastante desagradable. Que probablemente nos sentamos allí a bash cualquiera uno que cuestionaron la factura. No introduzca ESTE ESTABLECIMIENTO SI NO QUIERES QUE TE ESTAFEN! !

Ha sido 4 años desde la última vez que comimos allí - era un lugar sin visitar al menos una vez al mes, si no más a través de apetencias de comida deliciosa. Me decepcionó mucho en esta visita en realidad; el naan era sin sabor, el kebab mediocre. El lugar solía cielo, con sin embargo ahora en nuestra visita viernes noche estaba completamente tranquilo. Para rematar el servicio fue agregado sin hacerlo claro era la factura. Después de consultar este nos dijeron la dirección dijo los trabajadores deben añadir a la factura. Me pareció que era un cargo por servicio que sugiere la cantidad a su discreción le daría. También solía ser forzados a pagar en efectivo antes! Realmente desagradable en general de noche.

Después de revisar los comentarios de tripadvisor estaba en dos mentes acerca de visitar este lugar pero decidí darle el beneficio de la duda. Debería haber sabido que iba a ser horrible tan pronto como me dijeron que tenia que pagar de que habría un cargo adicional para el pan que acompaña el hummus. Este es el primer restaurante de oriente medio he visitado donde el pan tiene que ser pagado. Para colmo, estaban fuera de la pierna de cordero y limonada fresca - que era bastante molesto. El houmus me recordaron el Tesco houmus ollas puedes recoger por £1. También cometimos el error de pedir langostinos - si estás en gambas congeladas que saben como caucho, este es el lugar para usted!

ottimo ristorante persiano, che offre piatti leggeri e ben cucinati; molte scelte per vegetariani, con ricchi sapori ma spezie ben dosate e per nulla stucchevoli; niente alcoolici, ma bevande dissetanti con zenzero, menta, ecc.

We went to Zeytoon recently and the food was one of the best I had in a very long time. The service was fairly good and the dishes we had(Koubideh and Barg) were generous and really good. Normally for grills, consistency is not guaranteed but our experience was so good that I suggest you try, if you are into grills or Persian food.

We come here once a week after I play netball. They always remember our order and ask about my game! Good heathy and wholesome food at a reasonable price.

Abbiamo cenato da Zaytoon in una serata tranquilla: nonostante il menu fosse molto chiaro, non avevamo bene in mente cosa chiedere e ci siamo fidati del consiglio del cameriere sia per i cibi che per le bevande ; abbiamo fatto bene perchè ci hanno servito un piatto molto semplice, ma gustosissimo con carne di pollo e carne di agnello, riso e verdure cotte, in porzione piuttosto abbondante. Pane non lievitato ottimo.Anche la bevanda ( che tutt'ora non so cosa è) era buonissima, molto colorata e digestiva; locale pulito, profumo di spezie, nessun problema.Mi sarebbe piaciuto anche ritornare, non sapevo nulla di cucina iraniana, ma l'ho trovata davvero buonissima.Esperienza da provare

Auf Empfehlung des Service eine gemischte Platte bestellt und es war wirklich alles drauf was weg musste. Selten so schlimm gegessen. Absolut fade gewürzt lieblos angerichtet und dafür viel zu teuer. Leider keine Empfehlung.

Took my mum here for lunch and found the food to be overpriced for what you got plus extra service charge so won't be returning. As I can get better food and service elsewhere. The restaurant looks really nice and had high hopes but left unhappy with food although the service was good.

Had a meal here and thoroughly enjoyed it. Friendly staff. Pleasant setting. Freshly cooked and served in timely manner. Reasonably priced. Washroom / toilets were also clean and well maintained.The only dish I would not order again is the starter with some sort of dairy cream added to it. Otherwise top marks. Had starters and a main meal to share between 2 .

The service was slow even though we were the only group in the restaurant however the food was quite. But they let this down by their poor attitude. When we were paying they said their card machine wasn't working. Had to run across the busy road to get cash, then when using cash they demanded the exact change. As I didn't have it, I was given more than £5 change in 10 pence coins. From a restaurant that takes only cash they had a poor ability to give correct change and got a telling off from the owner. Wouldn't recommend to anyone, waste of time and you will be waiting around for a long time

The ambience is really nice. The food is well prepared although the salad on out mixed grill was not great. The trouble is with this place that the service does not match the pricing. It is honestly like cafe service. I asked for some water and some juice and the juice was not prepared till I reminded them at the main course. They weren't even busy A jug of water was brought to table but not poured. A dirty fork was picked up off the table and put back on my plate rather than take it away. Nobody was around when needed.I asked for the rest of the food to be packed as there was loads left and they handed me a carton to do it myself. Which would be fine if I was in a cafeThe portions are not huge for what you pay for contrary to other reviews. The setting is lovely and the food is good but the service really let them down and I won't be going backOh and the bill is not individually priced just the names of the dishes then a seemingly random amount. When I asked I was told there is a 10% service charge. This is not mentioned on the menu

We stopped for a quiet weekend lunch - heaping plates of rice with outstanding chicken and an intriguing lime/beef/eggplant dish. Wonderful, warm fresh bread and enough food overall to take leftovers home for dinner.

Visited here with my Iranian husband. Beautiful atmosphere - friendly staff and most importantly wonderful food, reasonably priced.

At the restaurant we were told to wait outside for few minutes so the table gets ready but after few minutes we realised that our table were given to some one else who just popped in. Took 20 minutes for someone to take our orders, time between starters and main course was more than 45 minutes and the drinks were served after main course. The reall disappointment was that main course was uncooked and it was burnt after complaining they were keep apologising but no attempts were made to replace the food or any discounts were given even we left half our food uneaten. At the end I was told that the card reader is not working and was sent across the road to get cash, my friend visited the same restaurant few months ago and same story about card reader were told I guess its the best way of dodging the TAX MAN. Really disappointing

Although we were the only diners (early evening during Ramadan) we were not disappointed with the quality and portions in this local Iranian / Afghan restaurant. Bread baked in front of our eyes, excellent warm starters and huge portions of grilled meat with tasty salad and heaps of fluffy rice. The lemon juice was flavoured with rose water and tasted like Turkish delight in a glass. Finished off with fresh mint tea. Great friendly staff and good value at under £40 for two courses each with drinks. Recommended.

Visited with our daughter when visiting London. Having never eaten this cuisine before we asked for some advice before ordering. We were talked through the menu and offered a sampling platter for both starter and main. Both courses were great - in flavour and amount...we thought we had struggled getting through our servings then found out it was what they'd normally dish up for 2!Would definitely eat here again.Soft drinks a little expensive even for London, £3 for a glass bottle coke made the bill add up.

Authentic iranian/afgahni food, frequented by local afghan/iranian community which is always a good sign. Been here a few times. Good value, decent range. Lovely buttery Chilo kebabs and great rice dishes. Newly opened dessert counter had the Choc orange souffle and the Banana cin. both in house inventions.Would go back just for the choc orange souffle!

Wir waren im Crown abgestiegen und sind zufällig dort eingekehrt. Freundliche Bedienung und lecker anmutende Speisen. Das Lamm schien mir etwas älter zu sein und musste weg, leider war ich dafür vorgesehen. Kein Drama passiert. Allerdings war das Resto sehr leer für die Uhrzeit 18/19h

What a great place. Everywhere around are greasy spoon cafes or two very offputting Indian restaurants. But his place is warm and welcoming with beautiful decor. It is the best place in the areThe food is good value and there is a wide choice on the menu. as a visitor to the area, I ate there 3 nights in a row.Even their simple salad is different and delicious. You get masses of rice with a dish that includes rice. More than I could eat.They make fresh bread, like thin pitta, for every order. It only keeps fresh for about 5 minutes. A great idea. The service was good too. Remember, they don't serve alcohol

Visited with family on a quiet Saturday afternoon.Despite miss-hearing my order, 34 not 24, all the food was cooked very well and with generous portions.Way too much rice to the point of it being wasted though.Receipt was in both English and Persian / Arabic and worked out at £14 head.Overall, a good visit in comparison to the chalk and cheese reviews below.

Food is amazing but I have had better Afghan cuisine at more cheaper prices. The staff was not that great. A service charge was added to the bill. Only came to know about it when gone through the bill with the waiter bit by bit.

Visited Zeytoon for a spot of lunch last week. The place was empty and we were 'greeted' by an monosyllabic older gentleman (who spent the rest of our meal praying behind the counter).A younger waiter was polite-ish and seated us promptly.After a bit of a wait we eventually ordered our food.The portions are massive and my grilled lamb was well cooked but I could really have done with some condiments (yoghurts, pickles etc) but all they have is watered down chilli sauce and salad cream!As a result my meal was quite bland.The price is very reasonable and we certainly left feeling full. Nobody said goodbye as we left.

This is not a Persian restaurant even they do there best to match the Persian cousins. If you like to be surprised you have to visit this restaurant because they have there own version of Persian food and sometimes is really better then the lranian version!! If you like afghan cousins they are one of the best in London. The service is average and there is no parking around maybe in the street behind the restaurant if you lucky to find a place

We went on a Friday evening. We loved the setting, ambiance, the food was delicious with large portions, the staff friendly and helpful. The Kashk-e-Bademjan starter was a winner with the freshly clay over baked naan. The chicken and lamb kebabs where gorgeous and filling. They do not serve alcohol so we had the fresh carrot juice which was fantastic. I think you can bring alcohol. Excellent all round. Can't wait to go again.

Zeytoon is an excellent Afghan/Iranian restaurant and has the most friendliest staff, their customer service is amazing and the food is cooked to perfection. It's always cooked amazingly and tastes really nice, overall it's an amazing place to go and experience new food.

I read the reviews and was a bit worried as I saw some bad ones. But really I think this place is very good. Food was good, big portions and my chicken was perfectly cooked. Service was also fine.The woman behind the bar who writes the bills - well after reading the reviews I was expecting a dragon. But I found her welcoming and the bill came itemised and in English. They also took credit card payments. Overall an enjoyable evening with good food, freshly made bread and they have made a real effort with the decor. I'm giving 5 stars because I think their rating has been unfairly brought down. Well done

Visited Easter week.Starters were good especially the fresh bread, but one of the main meals (chicken with pomegranate and walnut sauce) was disgusting! Service was slightly aggressive- they brought mineral water when we specified tap water and when we asked for a description of a dessert he simply brought it and left it on the table. When the bill came it wasn't itemised (it didn't include the prices- just stated the total) and some parts of the bill were written entirely in Arabic- when queried it was a clear £15 pounds overcharged and service charge was not optional or listed separately. We had to ask for a menu and a pen to add up our own bill. And then they had the cheek to ask if we would pay in cash!Incredibly disappointed, as it was recommended on TimeOut. Clearly dishonest and a bit shady.

We decided to go for afgani/iranian food and Zeytoin delivered well. .. the portions were big for inner London and the price was competitive. Although there are cheaper options but not in inner London. The food was cooked perfectly and came out to time despite them having a huge party which had taken up half the restaurant. There were enough waiters who have us attention. I will definately go again with family or friends.

We came here as the menu looked interesting but the food turned out to be a major disappointment and the service very slow. We started off with a fried eggplant started which was actually very tasty, but our mains were dry and completely tasteless. Avoid the King Prawn dish at all costs. Also, as mentioned in other reviews they do not take card which is a bit shady. The restaurant is also extremely warm (dare I say seriously hot). Don't bother.

We eat here two years previous and have waited for an opportunity for a revisit !We were not disappointed!Food simply amazing ! But what a pity we couldn't take a bottle of wine in with us & pay a corkage or whatever !We were both stuffed @ 25 pp!

Been there Saturday the 17th with family of 4Ordered a mixed platter was for £34 and few other things included humas, bread drinks etc, service was so so, quality of food was as u would expect from a Persian restaurant so good, the odd bit, they charged us 5% service charge, Bill arrived and it was manual bills with no prices on top of it, although on enquiry they rewrote the prices as well, costs £52 for 4 c so £13 is not bad for main course drinks and tea, but I would say this was suppose to be around £40 max If u don't care about other things as mentioned above u can go for good quality food,

The restaurant decor is good, Service also was good. They recomended a mixed meat platter, it was very nice. There was so much meat we could not finish it. Only get it if you like meat and can eat a lot. The menu Looks interesting so we would go back there.

First time here and it was pure luck we chose this restaurant as there are so many on this street. We chose well. Beautiful surroundings. Excellent service. First class food. Wish we lived nearer so we could bring friends and family. Diagnosis? Deeeeeelicious! Xx

It was a nice restaurant with nice food. Nothing was special or amazing but the food was nice and certainly quick, possibly a little bit too quick. It's the to go out and eat there on a casual night but not for a special occasion. I would go back but no rush to do so.

This restaurant is amazing. Really good atmosphere and typical Persian design. I have been here quite a few times and I have never been disappointed either from the quality of the food or the service. Food is delicious, really tasty and the give you massive portions for a reasonable price. Staff is Ok, gently and helpful as should be. Well recommended!

Visited here with a friend for the very first time and it was a total disaster food was horrible and dry service was annoying prices are over the top and the force u to pay service charge plus ONLY CASH accepted to those of you thinking of eating here plz avoid do not waste ur time and money in this dump the lady on the counter sits and writes the receipt in Persian and she makes her own prices !!!

Been here a few times and the food does wonders for the taste buds. Place is very relaxed, easily accessible and somewhere you can pop into for a last minute but very filling meal. Fresh hot bread made in the restaurant adds to the experience. One of the best Afghan/Persian restaurants I have been too, and the service is great too, unfriendly and not rushed. Good for bigs groups and a very relaxed place.

Astoundingly fresh, delicious food with a salad composed entirely of herb leaves which is an amazing experience. The mixed grill was excellent and fresh mint tea to finish rounded off the meal beautifully.

Okay staff aren't ever going to be seen in a comedy store on stage, however what they do is adequate. They guided me through the menu and what arrived I was more than happy with. Salad-e-olvieh (russian salad) in a different name was tasty enough but lacked the zing of herbs or possibly capers added. The homemade bread was fine as an accompaniment. The main of Mantu, lamb minced stuffed pasta with tomato, herbs and yoghurt was lovely and I will be back for more of this. The faloudea dessert a traditional mix of rosewater & vermicelli is an acquired taste, having had this before I can tell you that this is not a bad version. I see that there have been reports of surly service, didn't witness myself other than a group of guys being told they couldn't use the second room because it was cold, only to see a group of females directed to the room three minutes later. Possibly a cultural thing, but for sure the room didn't warm up in three minutes.

This was my second visit to this resturant. I went there a couple of years ago when it first opened. I must say that it has changed a lot! To begin with staff don't have any enthusiasm. They are are lazy and you don't get any sense of being looked after well. We ordered 2 starters, the first was delivered with a naan bread but we waited about 10 minutes for the second one and there was no need of our second starter until I mentioned to the waiter who was standing next to our table like a piece of wood and looking at us. He went a way and came back and throw the second starter at our table. By this time the naan and the first starter had gone cold. The waiter had suggested a meat platter of chicken and lamb kebab and rice for the main. This was a total nightmare. The kooftah was burnt, the meat pieces were like pieces of leather and smelly without any taste!The staff and their attitude are intolerable, lazy and unaware of their surrounding. They are standing there without any sense of engagement to their job like that they are forced to to do a job. Very expensive place as well. You will get a better food and a better deal in a takeaway place. Will never go again!

We've been to this restaurant twice this month and both times it has been absolutely fantastic! The staff were very helpful, and the food was so tasteful. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. The food looks exactly like in the menu and tastes even better!! An amazing atmosphere and a beautiful restaurant to sit relax eat and enjoy yourself and have a lovely evening!!

We visited with our daughter, son in law and granddaughter. The staff was very accommodating when it came to the baby, which always helps improve the experience. The food was tasty, reasonably priced and the portions were very adequate. We will definitely go again when we are in the area.

I planned a last minute Bday party for my brother and our mutual friends they served amazing platters to share and the tea at the end of the meal was fabulous!

been here twice now,once in Ramadan and once after..cant fault service or food - the only reason i gave it 4 stars is because i like my food spicy and its not but they gave me grilled green chillies and some chilli sauce to compensate..also beautiful decor.reasonable prices and the food was freshly cooked and hot

Went in with my with mate who is from Middle East for lunch, and I'm malaysian....oh my God, the look that they gave us!!!!! Terrible!!!!! They even pipping from the back , gave us dirty look. Asked for tea and the waiter just bang the cup on the table, so rude.... I can easily saying that they are very racist towards any individual that bring any Middle East/arab looking person to this place. The food is just blant, they put more onion then meat. I'm a chef and it didnt take a chef to realise how stingy they are its their meat. Poor customer service and rude, no privacy as a customer as they keep starring..... This is uk not Middle East so have some respect for other interracial if you want good review!!!!!!!!!!

Wer gerne einmal authentische persische Küche Essen möchte ist hier bestens aufgehoben. Ich habe ein total leckeres Lammgericht gegessen mit einer Reisbeilage die traumhaft gut war. Das Naan ist frisch aus dem Ofen und die Kellner sind super freundlich. Wir hatten das Glück am Ramadan doch noch vor dem Eintreffen der muslemischen Gäste einen Tisch zu bekommen. Die gepflegte islamische Kundschaft des Restaurants zeugt von der hohen Qualität der Küche und überhaupt nicht teuer.

Me and my family made a last minute decision to visit this restaurant as it had a Ramadan special menu, ideal to break our fast. Upon entering, we were guided to our table where a plate containing an array of sweet jelabi, dates and complimentary water awaited in order to break our fast. Following this, we were presented with our platter containing a variety of Afghan and Iranian specialities: Qaboli, Joojeh, Koobideh, Chello, the lot! One that really struck me was the prawn rice dish - it was amazing! After our meal, we requested tea and a quintessentially Persian dessert: Saffron ice-cream. Overall, I was very impressed at the quality and taste of all the food. Understandibly, a lot of pressure was on the waiting staff as the majority of diners were simultaneously breaking their fasts, hence the service was slightly delayed, but for good reason. I would definitely come back here, Ramadan or not, and would recommend it to diners of all backgrounds!

We got humus for starters which came with freshly baked warm bread, this was the only food that was nice. Other starter was 'paneer sabzi' which was literally a bunch of green leaves thrown on a plate with 3 pieces of radish, one slice of feta and a few walnuts, NO marinade no flavor that was it, it looked like garnish, but even garnish is more edible.Main course was okra, which had NO flavor, none whatsoever, not even salt and pepper, it was supposed to be in a tomato gravy but it was more like a gravy made up of oil and red color. Other main dish was the mixed kebab which also had no flavor at all.Decor, staff and service was superb and the fresh bread was the best I've ever had, but the rest of the food was just very very bland.

It's one of my favourite locals and I make a point of taking my visiting friends to sample it's delicious dishes. My favourites are all the ones that include pickled limes - they come with a large plate of perfectly cooked saphron rice! The food is plentiful and their made to order bread is excellent!

Met friends for lunch, disappointed with food and service.Waiter was insistent on us purchasing a lunch for 4 option on the menu when refused his attitude changed for the worse

Have been here a couple of times, they serve food from Afghanistan and Iran. The price is a bit high but it is worth it. It has a nice décor, there is shisha (hoka) area outside for shisha lovers. I always order Mantu as starter, Qabil pallow and mix grill. I suggest everyone try this combination and you will not be disappointed.

I had lunch for myself, ordered pilav. There was not waiting staff, I mean staff in uniform. When I entered, I was greeted by gentleman, and he took my order which was pilav. When I asked for drink, I was offered only soft drinks from a can instead of some national tea. He brought my pilav, but there was missing salads and bread which was included to price. He brought it by request. He re-heated my bread on the corner in hall. My bill was for £14 but I could have the same food in afgani cafe in Cricklewood lane for £7, even bigger portion!

Nous sommes venu diner avec notre petit garçon de 4 ans , les lieux étaient propres, le serveur charmant et patient nous expliquant les différents plats, les entrées étaient fraiches et de qualité .les plats gouteux, notre fils a mange de l' agneau pour la première fois , L addition etait correcte . Need a new bunch of stuff cause they all need attitude check very rude, before we had even finished bill was brought to the table without any of my friends asking for the bill , 5 mintue later a waiter came and said we need this table a reservation is here ,

We felt like something new, so on the recommdations of a friend we tried the Zeytoon...it was real Afghan and Persian food.We enjoyed the atmosphere, and the delicious home made breads that were made in the clay oven..our bread was seconds old and with the mezze of salads and yoghurts truly wonderful.We ordered an amazing dish of rice and sweet carrots with a roasted leg of lamb..it was enough to feed a family...and I had yellow rice with salade and chicken and lamb barbaqued.Everything was very clean and generous..the price we thought very reasonable ..we look forward to visiting again soon..especially with friends.

We had a delicious meal and can't wait to return. Everything was very tasty and we can't wait to go back again. The best Persian food we've eaten n a long long time

Absolutely disgusting service!!! They over charged me £36 because they claimed the order was for 10 people, when in actual fact there were only 8 people and never even confirmed or counted number of people on the table! Please avoid the restaurant as they are very dishonest people and have no idea about giving a good customer service.No menus were provided and no break down on the bill. Jokers just put the value and that is it. Very unprofessional and I hope nobody else visits their restaurant. They don't deserve to be in business. Disgrace to our culture as well as our religion, which says to treat people with respect. Clearly this restaurant doesn't.First and last time I will be visiting. Avoid at ALL COSTS!!!

siamo stati in famiglia a cena in questo ristorante nell'affollata cricklewood broadway, fuori dai soliti giri turistici. la stazione metro più vicina è kilburn ma ci arrivano comodamente il 139, il 189 ed il 16. siamo stati gli unici occidentali a cena, tutti gli altri clienti erano iraniani. bell'atmosfera ed ottimo cibo. appena entrati siamo rimasti colpiti dal loro tipico forno che cuoce un ottimo pane naan. l'abbiamo ordinato con la buona crema di ceci hummus e la purea di melanzane arrosto con cipolle, aglio, limone e spezie. davvero buone ma essendo tipiche di tutta l'area medio-orientale seppur con nomi diversi le conoscevamo già, avendole provate in ristoranti libanesi, yemeniti e dubaiti. invece siamo rimasti piacevolmente colpiti da un antipasto afghano chiamato mantu. non conoscevamo nulla di cucina afghana ma dobbiamo dire che abbiamo avuto un'ottima impressione del cibo di quella terra. sono ravioloni ripieni di agnello macinato, cipolle, curcuma e pepe, conditi con pochissima salsa di pomodoro ed una gustosa crema di yoghurt all'aglio e menta. Nonostante gli ingredienti poco leggeri, si sono rivelati digeribilissimi. poi siamo passati ai piatti principali iraniani: Chelow Khoresht-e-Qormeh Sabzi per me. si tratta di uno spezzatino di agnello e spinaci, prezzemolo, erba cipollina, coriandolo e fieno greco finemente triturati con fagioli rossi e lime. Molto insolito con un retrogusto amarognolo. Chelow Kebab-e-Chenjeh per mia moglie (spiedoni d'agnello marinato con pomodori grigliati). Chelow Kebab-e-Qafqazi per nostro figlio (stessi spiedoni ma carne mista di pollo e agnello). tutti i piatti accompagnati da riso. per dessert zelbia bamieh (fritti ricoperti di miele di rosa), molto profumati. niente alcool, essendo loro musulmani ma un ottimo tè alla menta. costo € 20 a persona. merita di tornarci. complimenti!
