Fantastic food fantastic service would definitely recommend very reasonably priced for Lytham. Got to be the best place to go and eat in Lytham if you like good Italian food.

Went to zest for a meal with my husband. The girl that seated us was pleasant. The other server did not know anything about the wines when asked. We both had the burger, this was cold dry and tasteless. The bun and onion rings were very wet and soggy. I had only a few bites of mine. Server wasn't interested in the fact the meal had not been touched. We were in the place fore 25 mins start to finish. We will not be going back

We visited over the easter bank holiday. I will start with a positive . The sausage barm my husband had was very nice. I ordered toast which came dry and I was asked if I wanted butter and jam, odd question I don't know many people who just eat dry toast. We finished our breakfast and I went up to pay. Asked for my bill which by the way I only noticed when j left had a discretionary surcharge already added. I advised the girl I wished to pay by cash to which she replied I could but she couldn't give me any change? Why was that I asked? Apparently they are cashless business ??? She was extremely dismissive and vague. I then asked where does it advise me of this, is it printed on the menu? No came the reply. I advised her politely that it was wrong and I was being forced to use a card to pay for an expensive £18 breakfast with the added surcharge and be happy to not get any change. I asked her to feed my annoyance back to the manager although judging her body language and total disregard for my comments j doubt happened. What would they have done if I didn't have a debit card to pay........ please stop forcing peoples choice by taking away our right to decide how we pay.... Sorry but based on this experience we wont be back. You are not the only place for breakfast in that area, alot of which would be HAPPY TO TAKE MY CASH.

Our favourite place to visit in Lytham. Wonderful staff with great knowledge of menu and fantastic service. Great choice of food and drink. Very nice outside seating area, with heaters for those cold days. Inside just as nice with bar tables or just normal seated tables. Would recommend a visit.

Called in on Sunday after a stroll around Lytham Hall grounds for a coffee and cake the man who greeted us said we could have a table and then quickly showed us to another table tucked out of the way because he recognised the next couple to come in , we ordered our coffee’s and scones , after about 10 minutes our coffee’s arrived (good coffee ) then after about 15 minutes we enquired where our scones were to be told quite abruptly they were still in the oven.We like freshly baked scones but why not tell us they were still being baked ? Eventually they arrived quality was good , we asked for the bill some time later and after being ignored for about 10 minutes we asked again which it was then brought to us I said I was paying by card and was ignored again eventually got up to pay , no asking had we enjoyed what we’d had maybe it’s because we didn’t have our “ Sunday best “ on but won’t be visiting again in a hurry there are a lot places in Lytham to have a coffee and cake in . ( An observance the table next to us had to ask 4 times for glasses of tap water to accompany coffee and cakes !!! ) doesn’t take a lot for a bit of common courtesy .

Very popular and busy restaurant with good menu of tasty varied food. We had a chicken and bacon ciabatta and a zest special sandwich with extra fries along with probably best hot chocolate I’ve ever had and a latte. All efficiently done and very tasty but I felt they were also keen to see us leave as soon as we’d finished eating.

As good anmbience , with a super young lady at front of house. Wine advice was perfect as was the meal. Starter, main and home baked dessert... just sublime. Shame Zest can be transported to Royal Tunbridge Wells, but Lytham has to retain a few gems. Oh very lucky Lytham.....

Myself and my husband went on Friday , the service and food were impeccable. I accidentally knocked over my glass of Fizz and the owner happened to walk past. He quickly got the waiter to clean the table, took my glass back them gave me a fresh glass of Fizz. What a lovely gesture what I didn't expect.

My food was excellent but my girlfriends was average. Mostly the service was very good but one of the staff put a dampener on the atmosphere by looking very miserable unfortunately.

Very cold. Sat by the fire & there was a very bad draught. Very expensive service charge also added which in my opinion was not worth it.

Had lunch with my friend, it was absolutely lovely. We sat outside which was well covered and had heaters all around, there were also blankets on all chairs and a basket on the floor with extra blankets for customers to use. There were also cushions on seats I was really impressed with the layout of the area where we sat.

We've been here quite a few times. The food is always lovely. We visited on Saturday lunch, as we trust the food is always tasty. However this time we were overcharged by £6 .our fault entirely. As we didn't check the bill! They charged us for a smoothie they didn't have the ingredients for, so we chose another drink.on checking our bill when we got home we had been charged for the green smoothie we never got.very disappointed 😞 put is off coming again really .we live out of the area so couldn't pop back.

Great restaurant with lovely food.

Just popped in for a quick bite of lunch and had a really nice time. Had to wait for a table for about 10 minutes but that just gave us time to look at what everyone else was eating and decide this was the place for us. Although the indoor dining area was very busy the staff were friendly, efficient and kept us up to date on how long we had to wait. Once seated we were able to choose from all the mouth watering dishes we had seen quite quickly. The drinks obviously arrived first with the food not far behind. Although we had chosen a sharing platter for two, everything so generous we didn’t feel the need for anything more than a cup of coffee afterwards. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and the buzz of the restaurant. Would definitely recommend and will come back next time we are in the area.

My Granddaughter & me decided to have lunch in ZEST Lytham on Saturday 16/12/23. It was busy as usual & we found a seat outside with a heater. We then ordered our drinks and the young girl took our order. We went in at 12.40pm and as we were waiting for a while, I called the a waitress to ask if our food was coming, as we'd been there 40 minutes. We'd finished our coffees and the food arrived. I had the chicken wrap accompanied with small salad & nachos, the wrap had hardly any peri sauce & not much chicken, which was dry, charged at £12. My Granddaughter had 3 very small bitesize fishcakes with a small salad charged at £10. We started to eat our food, as we were hungry after waiting, but we were waiting for a bowl of French fries. I turned to call the waitress who was stood looking outside, and didn't hear me, she aas miles away. Then another waitress came to the table next to ours & I asked her about our fries she quickly said she'd go and find out. We waited another 10 minutes or so and the French fries turned up as we'd finished our food!😡 It was only when I got home that I realised you had put a service charge of over £4+ on my bill which came to £46+. We were very disappointed and the Customer Service was awful and the food was not as it used to be...the worst I've had in ZEST and I've eaten there many times! We'll be swerving by ZEST to go to Boscos!!

Cannot say enough about how good this place was for us. Great location in the very centre of Lytham. (We were going to the Lowther to see the Sweet gig) Beautifully presented restaurant, modern but also felt homely and traditional at the same time. The staff were all very attentive, helpful and friendly. The food .... again can't speak highly enough about just how good it was. All four of our party were very happy with their meals. I had the seafood linguine, and was pleasantly suprised with just how much was in it. Many scrimp on the ingredients, but it had plenty of clams, prawns, mussels and fish. Faultless. We have recently moved to Poulton le Fylde, and will certainly be returning soon.

It is not often that you worked with someone special, someone who has passion and eye for beauty. We came here after a long day’s work. I had my usual seafood linguine and Pru managed to eat her greens after many months. Thank you for looking after us as always.

Terrible. Food was disgusting, it was literally like a frozen meal. No taste. Complete wast of money. Service was terrible overbearing staff. Clearly don’t communicate with each other. Three members of staff coming over and asking us the same question. 16 times they come to our table. 3 time they come over and asked us have you finished when one of us was clearly still eating. Made us feel really u comfortable and literally like they wanted us to leave. Will never go back and would not recommend ever.

We always look forward having are first cup of coffee here when we arrive in lytham but sadly very disappointed with the service today. Will not be going again.

Very disappointing. Having been to Zest in the past it’s very clear after my visit last night how things have gone down hill. There was cardboard found in the sea bass dish, which the head waiter then refused to then discount off the bill. Our waitress’ attitude changed towards us once we’d addressed the cardboard in the food and did not seem to care. The toilets are also a big disgrace, unclean and really quite gross with toilet paper and food all over the stairs leading up to them. Won’t be returning.

Zest is a lovely restaurant but it's not one for vegetarians. There was very little choice for those who don't eat meat or fish on the day we visited, much to my disappointment. Beyond sadwiches and wraps there was not much for vegetarians, even the soup was chicken! So many restaurants play lip service to vegetarians and I find that frustrating and annoying. While friends have multiple choices of fish and meat dishes, they are confine to one or two options. The waiter admitted, "we don't really do vegetarian." Come on Zest you could do better.

Party of 11. Food fine but shocking service by the waiter and waitress who argued in front of us and regularly elbowed us. Additionally, tried to calling us liars saying they don't take deposits-luckily we had the evidence we had indeed paid a large deposit. Emailed feedback which was quickly acknowledged by the secretary Long with the management would respond. Unfortunately 2 and half months later I haven't received a response.

by far one of the best restaurants we've eaten in for a long while, both for the food and the service. We first stopped by the bar for a lunchtime drink. Sat outside on the terrace which was beautiful and heated. The welcome we received and the service was that good, we returned the following night for dinner and was not disappointed. Went in for Sunday lunch for two of us. One meal fine my Italian lamb was terrible. It was lamb breast rolled. It was just a lump of fat with very little meat on it. Nobody came to see if food was ok. Should have complained but then one is eating whilst the other waits. Have been many times first time disappointed.

Fabulous staff, very polite and caring. Supper food. So many dishes to choose from to suit all people. I had from the board a lamb dish it was excellent my husband had a fish curry from the board. That was the best curry I had ever had. Go and try the food it is so good.

Really busy little restaurant just off the square in the town centre. Looking at the menu it seems strange that an Italian restaurant offers Singapore Vermicelli and Jambalaya, two dishes which make you doubt the rest of the menu. If the Italian food is good, why offer food from other cuisines? I had the special Crab Mac and Cheese to start, the pasta was Penne not macaroni and it tasted more like a tuna pasta the crab mac which was disappointing. For main I chose the Linguine Portofino, the seafood was delicious and abundant, lots of scallops, squid rings, mussels, shellfish and salmon in a spicy sauce which complimented the seafood well. As the portion sizes were large I ordered Cannoli to take away, these were encased in more of a brittle than pasty which was nice but made them really chewy and hard. Overall it's a nice restaurant, the main was really good and I would recommend, the starter and dessert did leave a little to be desired.

Being regular visitors to Lytham we decided to visit Zest for a change for breakfast. Whilst the food was excellent and the terrace was very comfortable, what spoiled the experience was discovering after we had left that a 10% discretionary service charge had been added...

Although a pleasant area we didn't think the whole experience was a great one. The main meal Lasagne was delicious but when it came to the desserts mine was very poor. The service is good and it's a clean place but I feel it's more suited to locals so I'm afraid we won't return. It was also very cramped inside, too many tables squeezed into a small room.

Found this little beauty this morning, what a delight, food Absolutely delicious, atmosphere and ambience can't be faulted. I had the eggs rancheros my mum had the breakfast burger. Brilliant position sizes, flavours to die for. We will most definitely be back.

25/05/23 - just been here with 3 friends for tea. Food is nice but overpriced, £29.50 for halibut, really?!!! Service is as I would expect in any cafe/restaurant. Watch out as they instantly add 10% discretionary charge to your bill. We didn't think the service merited this and so only added a tip amount which reflected the service we'd recieved. When the waiter came to collect our cash payment he pointed out it was short, which we thought was rude as you don't have to pay the 10% discretionary in the UK! We felt he was trying to embarrass us into paying the rest, which we didn't, and pointed out to him that we don't have to pay the 10% discretionary charge. I won't be in a hurry to return.
