Had a lovely group meal at Yiayia Greek Grill after work. Food was excellent value and very tasty. I had the Greek Mousaka which was excellent with layers of aubergine, potatoes and béchamel sauce. Also a side of Halloumi Fries and Corona beer. There is a limited amount of seating available so best to reserve in advance. Service was very quick and server was very friendly. Would definitely recommend and return.

So this time, I thought we'd try the takeaway. Tbh wasn't great , food very cold . Cost we're way over the top for what we ordered. I would have expected something outstanding, but alas, it wasn't. The indoor restaurant is so much better, don't think we will use the takeaway service again . Sorry guys , disappointing especially when there is so much competition in mapperley

Terrible customer service. We ordered for a night in and our order was delivered by deliveroo and they didn't delivered the drinks. We called the shop to ask for the drinks to be delivered and the lady on the phone replied its not our problem, call deliveroo for a refund. This was the second time this happened and there won't be a third especially when the prices are so high. No respect for the customer or their money.

The food was delicious and very filling and the atmosphere was amazing everyone was very friendly it was a full house :)

Had takeaway for first time last night, the gyros were quite bland I thought, kids meal only had 2 chicken strips which I thought a bit stingy and the chips had too much salt. Also the halloumi fries were just grilled halloumi pieces. Was ok, but prefer gyros from our usual place in sneinton.

Why go into the city when you've got food and service this good on the doorstep? A great selection of super tasty food. We ordered online for a collection and the website is easy to navigate and very straightforward. Excellent service too. Will definitely return.

Great Greek restaurant on the high street in Mapperley. Lots of classic dishes to choose from and complimentary vino selection. Kid friendly too. What's not to love.

WOW, couldn’t be happier with our Sunday lunch to celebrate our engagement with our families. The team set up a beautiful table, complete with a banner, table decorations and flowers and threw in two bottles of complimentary wine - absolutely blown away by this service and never had anything like it before. Completely unprompted and honestly absolutely made our day - thank you. Service was amazing as always and the food was incredible- massive portions full of delicious flavour. Some of my family had travelled 1.5 hours and were super impressed! The team were attentive throughout and happy to help with cutting up the cake that we brought along which was so helpful. They even didn’t charge us for one dish that seemed to have been missed off the order - on reflection, I think this was our fault rather than the server but no time was wasted in offering this for no cost, which was definitely not warranted but really appreciated. I hope you enjoy the cake guys and thank you again for such an amazing time. We’ll be back very soon!

We have eaten in the restaurant and had takeaways. Love the food, feels like a healthier option than many takeaways. Recommend the halloumi gyros, vegetarian mousaka and the baklava.

I’m not too experienced with Greek food, but this was superb, best I’ve had and definitely best in Nottingham. Very tasty and generous portions. My only negatives were the lack of a beer on-tap as I’m not keen on bottled beer, and the tables are very small.

There is the potential for this place to be great but it always misses the mark. Service is slow whether takeaway or eating in. Eating in is also very expensive for what you get.

Normally love this place, but tonight was pure disappointment. Really looked forward to it, but it was Soggy and undercooked. Entirely offputting.

The staff are great really trying hard to make it a lovely evening. We had the sharing platter and it was ok but the Souvlaki was unfortunately very dry that may have been an issue with one night only so hard to say the other bits were average but certainly fine. Hopefully this is a one off really wanted this to be a great local Greek restaurant equal to Yamas but not quite there yet.

Had take out quite late one night. The servers were friendly, and things were pretty quick and efficient. All the food we had was really tasty, and it certainly didn’t feel like anything was skimped on at all.

Lovely service, friendly staff,nice atmosphere and delicious Greek food.. I will recommend everybody to come here for a special occasion or just to chill out. So when you come here,make sure to bring a hungry tummy TO THE GRILL!!!

Generous portion but avarage food.

I've only been to this place once and had vegan moussaka which was mediocre. I will definitely come back to try souvlaki and other traditional Greek dishes! I'm pretty sure they'll be lovely!

A fabulous unpretentious place with superb food, nice staff and no messing about. The platter for 2 is superb value and will leave you debating the sweet cabinet. Only limited sit down space but take away and usual delivery service flexibility.

We’ve ordered takeaway from here a few times now. The food is always incredible, really tasty and the tzatziki is the best.

My son had a chicken and pork gyro, tpasted pitta bread which was filled with fries and salad. It was the first time he had tried It and was very pleased, he said the food was tasty, displayed appealingly and not too expensive. I also perused the menu for vegetarian options available for myself and there was a few desirable dishes that too my fancy, therefore we will be returning with our custom.

The food was fine and ok for price, but I found the staff quite rude and with all the competition around it's not a great attitude.

Tried here for the first time last week and had a sharing platter, was gorgeous and great value for money. Food was speedy but not too much so, staff were really friendly and attentive, chefs seemed to really care about whether we were enjoying the food. As someone else mentioned, they've done a good job of making it cosy enough to eat in whilst also being a takeaway. Great little spot on Mapperley Top.

The food was amazing and the staff super nice. I travelled from Nottingham city centre to try out this restaurant and it did not disappoint. I went with a friend and we shared dolmades, grilled halloumi and spanakopita as a starter as we wanted to try different flavours. The quality of the products was good, with a special mention to the olive oil. We then both had chicken gyros. The meat was soft and juicy. It had tzatziki as a sauce and not one of these salad sauces you sometimes get. It also had fresh tomatoes and red onions in it. The bread was tasty and the portion big. We had a side: potatoes with herbs, which were excellent. We definitely went overboard with the food order but we were so excited to taste everything. The price/quality ratio is excellent. I highly recommend this place and look forward to going back and trying out the moussaka. 😊

Absolutely beautiful venue and food. A takeaway come diner restaurant style, it was very busy but I can see why. Food smells and tastes amazing. It would be nice to have some Greek background music for all of the senses. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and I will definitely be back. Efharisto!

I have been meaning to visit this restaurant since it opened. I was told to get the best experience, its best to sit in and eat. Booking was nice and easy. We was shown to our lovely table towards the back of the restaurant. I took my teenage child for a nice Greek Experience and this was truly what we got. The food was outstanding, Gyros was awesome along with all the other dishes including the desserts. Restaurant was really busy with lots of takeaway orders going out. A great sign of a great place. Totally recommended this place. Thank you to the lovely waitress and the family owners for a lovely evening. 👌🏽❤👊🏽

8.45 Tuesday didn't want take way but wanted to eat in,9.30 close they didn't want to serve us,must be nice to be able to afford to turn down custom on a Tuesday night in January as hospitality industry is struggling!!

I don’t often review restaurants but I feel these deserve nothing less than a 5 star review! We’ve ordered from Yia Yia Gs quite a few times now via Deliveroo and the food has been excellent each time. Twice now we’ve had problems with the Deliveroo drivers (first time stealing our food and the second time forgetting to bring our salad) and each time the staff from Yia Yia Gs have called us personally to rectify the issue. Could not fault their customer service and the food tastes just incredible! Definitely recommend everyone gives this place a try!

Had lunch with a friend here and it was amazing! They've managed to create a lovely atmosphere for eating in with fairy lights etc and it still felt cosy despite also being a takeaway. Such friendly staff, food was authentic and delicious (had a halloumi pitta wrap stuffed with herby chips and garlic sauce, yum) and they even had Keo beer, heaven! Felt like I was back in cyprus. I'd give it more than 5 stars if I could!

Fabulous dinner with friends. The service was brilliant. All the staff were so friendly and attentive. The food is freshly prepared and was just delicious! We had a mixture of gyros, and some of the small plates. Good selection of drinks- including Greek beer mythos. We had a child with us (11) who was more than content with side plates and milkshake! And if you order too much just have it boxed up to take home. Great new addition to Mapperly.

We had dinner for 4, the food was excellent. They have some of my favourite Greek food. The Service was excellent, we will certainty will go back.

I noticed this restaurant had opened recently and was curious to try it, although a little hesitant due to minimal reviews available online. I'm so glad we went! Although small, the restaurant has a lovely atmosphere and the staff are very friendly and attentive. We ordered the sharing meat platter and then donuts for dessert and every dish was cooked to perfection- super tasty and cooked fresh at the counter in view of your table. I would certainly recommend this restaurant but would advise booking if you wish to sit in (they also do takeaway) as space is limited. It is also worth noting that the menu for sitting in is different from the takeaway menu available on their website so I've included photos of the 'eating in' menus.

The food was awesome and the staff was super friendly and helpful. I can't wait to go back. I went during the evening and it was quite busy so I would recommend booking a table in advance if you are planning to dine in.

Really enjoyed our meals, party of four.

Ordered by phone, arrived to collect after 20 minutes as instructed. Part of the order was being kept warm in "hot cabinet". The rest of the order took another 15 minutes to arrive-very few customers in the restaurant and no one else waiting btw. 2 minute drive home, food was cold and inedible. Called to politely explain and was offered a discount "next time" There will be no next time!

firstfi visit to this takeaway,never again. our order was wrong,we live 2 mins away, opened bag to find chicken souvlaki over cooked cold,chips were under cooked soggy cold. lamb souvlaki very fatty tasteless cold no fries instead a mountain of warm rice instead of fries,very disapionted, tried to ring them but no answer to phone, rang agian,no answer. WILL NEVER VISIT AGAIN.

I went to Yiayia G’s for my birthday. So glad I chose here. The service was perfect. Attentive but not hassling. They even got us another high chair as they didn’t have more than one in the restaurant. The food was excellent. Sounds ridiculous, but they really know how to make a lovely fresh salad. The meat from the grill was so tasty and fresh. The pitta was divine and the dips so fresh and lovely. Bonus was a nice selection of Greek and Cypriot beers. I will definitely be coming back. I took some photos but to be honest some of the food was gone before I thought to take a photo.

Visited last night with a large group and couldn’t have asked for anything more. The service was first class from the start with staff very polite and attentive. We had a mix of starters, mains and sides and the quality of all was very good, with food coming out in good time. Chicken gyros definitely recommended! I’ll certainly be returning.

Just had an amazing lunch here with my wife, a spare of the moment decision but one I’m glad we made. We had the chicken souvlaki with fries and lamb souvlaki with rice and Bulgar wheat with a caramel Freddie’s cappuccino to finish. The food portions were massive and evening was hot and seasoned to perfection, to top it off our waitress Angela was lovely and made some really good recommendations. 5 start all day and we will definitely be returning

Nipped into here on a Saturday afternoon because we felt extra hungry. We had gyros to take away and they were absolutely delicious. The restaurant was lovely and clean and the lady who served us was very friendly. Couldn’t have been better 😊

I visited this restaurant when it first opened and it was absolutely lovely! The staff at the time were brilliant and very helpful. However, I visited last week and it seems to have lost its authenticity - very disappointed. Also on my second visit, food was at the same standard but unfortunately the staff weren’t and were not as attentive as before. Me and my husband noticed the lack of familiar faces, will not be dining here again. What a shame.

Delicious authentic grill. Reasonably priced and we think excellent value as the quality is high. We eat alot of Greek/ Turkish food and will definitely return. Took our 2 kids and it's very family friendly. For us, our favourite place on mapperley top at the moment.

Eating dinner tonight felt like I’d taken a little trip back to Rhodes. Fresh warm pitta, lovely homemade tzatziki, halloumi and a really tasty pork gyros! All coupled with really friendly staff and good prices! Highly recommend!

Really enjoyed this authentic Greek evening. The food was lovely: we were taken through the menu by our waitress, Angela, who was very knowledgeable and kind and helped us order. All the staff were lovely, tasty food cooked really well and they made us feel very welcome, making room for us at short notice and clearing a table next to us when it became free to help layout the food. Thank you for such a pleasant evening.

Yia yia G’s was really wonderful. The food was delicious, especially the Greek salad and spanakopita, a really beautiful, stylish setting and excellent service. The place had a real buzz around it and I hope the local community help this small business thrive! Will certainly be back (many times!)

Absolutely lovely meal here tonight, catered wonderfully for our GF friend and all of the food was fantastic. Rea was our server and she was brilliant; attentive, sweet and funny. We loved this meal and we will absolutely be back!
