Dan, Hannah and the team making quality coffee (roasted by the same guys serving it). Highly recommend for personable service and really good well made coffee although if you like Starbucks buckets this may not be for you. A great choice of Coffees also sold in beans or ground to spec to take away. A little gem that is also supplying good coffee for more and more other places in town to sell.

This is a great find. We were over to see a show at Derngate and the coffee shop is two minutes walk away. Quirky building with nice decor and we loved the record player (you can bring your own records). We aren't coffee connoisseurs but who could dislike their coffee? And the hot chocolate was fab too. The flapjack and Portuguese tart were lovely and you can also buy a range of ground coffees to take away. We phoned ahead to ask if out 5 year old could bring and eat her lunch and they were very obliging. Shame that they don't do more smaller snacks/bagels, but other than that we'd highly recommend. We will be back!

I usually order my beans from Steve online but popped in today to collect a couple of KG of Caramel Cherry (Espresso blend) . Whilst I was there I sat upstairs it’s my son, chatted and chilled, It’s a lovely coffee shop, great ambience, a record player (google it kids) where you can take your own vinyl if you really wanted to but above all, great great coffee.

A team of three along with the owner, all three staff take shifts serving on site but one is usually missing while they do they coffee roasting on another site. Very knowledgeable, very warm and friendly. If you like a massive 5 gallon Starbucks cappuccino this place might not be for you, if you like well made quality coffees it will be...

Tiny coffee shop hidden away between Angel Square and the theatres, but well worth finding. Serves the best fresh coffee in town.

Wonderful coffee. Had the expresso and latte both were best I've had not only Northampton, but anywhere and I've drank a lot lot coffee. Also got some beans whole to take away. The Ethiopian Koke and Rwandan. Both beautful fruity numbers , great roasting. Had a good chat with the owner who was full of info on the beans, roasting process etc. Top quality, definitely be going back.

As I’m a coffee lover, my wife brought me back some ground coffee from Yellow Bourbon Northampton as a present. She explained that I enjoyed dark roast Italian and French coffee types and asked for a coffee which might be suitable. She was supplied with Blueberry Guava. As far as I am concerned this couldn’t be much further from the coffee I enjoy, being fairly lightly roasted and having quite an unpleasant, bitter aftertaste. Pretty disappointing.

Excellent coffee, extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff. Perfect place for anyone that likes coffee and enjoys understanding where the beans came from! Cosy seating areas and if you go in whilst they are roasting you can watch the process.

Just once in a while you discover a gem of place to sit, relax and enjoy coffee as it really should be. Simply smooth and full of flavour. No acid and bitter tastes to spoil the experience. The Yellow Bourbon is just such a place; tucked away in a narrow side street of Northampton town centre, it is easier to overlook than it is to find. However, once found never forgotten. It's tiny and always full of people popping in for a carry out. But it's worth the short wait. The folk who own and run the cafe couldn't be nicer, kinder and more helpful and full of great chat while you wait for your coffee to brew. Upstairs there's plenty of seating efficiently tucked in adjacent to the coffee roasting and grinding machinery but still airy and comfortable. The atmosphere is wonderful with the aromas of slowly roasting beans filling the air. Oh, and did I mention the coffee. The best you'll find anywhere on the planet. I kid you not! Go there to relax and unwind in this very special and rewarding corner of heaven.

I have been here on many occasions and always had great service and fantastic coffee. The special cortado is my favourite. Great range of coffees to take home and grind yourself and watch out for the Saturday morning lessons which are great. The best coffee for miles.

Hidden round the corner in the cultural quarter this little gem serves quality tea and coffee and wonderful pastries/cakes. Nice little selection of things to buy as well (coffee, chocolates etc.). Friendly staff as well, very helpful. Shame about the building site next door but that’s temporary and my tea could have been hotter and the pot bigger!

It is such a treat to have Yellow Bourbon in Northampton. The coffee is always delicious (you can smell it roasting away upstairs), Steve's friendly team is extremely knowledgeable and if you're lucky, you may be greeted by Patch the dog. It's a super independent and well worth a visit for all your coffee needs.

Stubbled upon this little place today with friends and thought what a great find. However really dissapointed, drinks barely warm, really small cups, expensive and the mocha was just weird. Real shame :(

This is slightly off the beaten track but still nice and central. It is always busy, but mostly with people grabbing take away drinks. It's one of the best places to get coffee in the town centre and the seating area upstairs is perfect for getting some work done or catching up with a friend.

Yellow Bourbon Coffee is a café that could be picked up and set in the trendy part of any major city and would fit right in. Fortunately for Northampton, it's located in our city center just a short walk from the Guildhall!

Recently moved to Northampton and finding new places to eat out with my partner is hard. We went here and I was not in the least disappointed. Alert and polite staff, good portions, the meal was exquisite and great price. Ate until I had a stitch. Will go back again and again. Update- it's been a while since I have eaten here. I blame my fiance. But dang the food has somehow gotten better. Everything I ordered was chef's kiss. Had to call them up to sing their praises .
