Was fancying some pancakes as it was pancake day and the Wyndham did not disappoint. Went for 6 pancakes with bacon and maple syrup with a flat white. Pancakes and bacon were cooked perfectly and the flat white was also spot on. Will definitely recommend and return. Thanks!

Called in for breakfast. Great selection of tea and coffee, and thoughtful light breakfasts, both of which we found delicious. Glad we passed the other places, this was a treat. Will visit again when in Cardiff.

We had coffee, breakfast and tea here. The place was more or less empty on a quiet Tuesday morning but it soon filled up. The breakfast was lovely and the service excellent. A huge choice of teas and the waiter was very helpful in suggesting which green tea to choose. Would recommend.

Had a 7 (or 6) course menu here on Valentines day. There were dishes I would never have ordered such as popcorn cockles and each one was delicious. Was pricey at over £40 a head and £25 for a bottle of prosecco but it was worth every single penny. It isn't usually open in the evenings but had this event on for Valentines. It was one of the best meals I've ever had and we're on the lookout for another evening event to return.

A great alternative spot for brunch and lunch in the arcade. A great menu offers up tasty dishes which steer towards more vegetarian and vegan in style but pack a flavourful punch if your after a more virtuous dining experience. An immense selection of Tea's are available so even if your not a connoisseur when you arrive you will be after the first few trips here but that's not the say that the coffee is put by the wayside that too is very well put together. A very laid back atmosphere allows you to really relax whether that's out for lunch with friends, a partner or family there is always a cherry, helpful member of staff on hand to help you out. If I had to have one small gripe it would be that if your looking to get in and out in 5 minutes stick to Starbucks the service is calm and laid back and you need the time to enjoy the experience. Good things come to those who wait!

I've been a regular visitor to this branch of the acclaimed Waterloo Tea chain since it opened, and thank it for introducing me to Matcha lattes, recommended to me by one of it's proficient, enthusiastic staff members. Always welcoming, with great breakfast and cakes a highlight. Not the cheapest, but you pay for quality, and that's what I've always had here.

We stopped by the city centre cafe for a relaxed Sunday breakfast and we weren't disappointed! The food menu, being pleasantly concise, offered a modern twist on the usual classics as well as some intriguing alternatives. We opted for eggs florentine and chai-spiced porridge with poached plums, which were both cooked to perfection. The drinks menu offered a bedazzling section of teas, included the 'Christmas Tea' that my boyfriend decided upon. Not personally being a tea-drinker, I made a beeline for the coffee, and was drawn to the 'coffee set'. It turned out to be a trio of drinks, consisting of an espresso, cold tea infusion and a flat white. It's no exaggeration to say that this was the best coffee I've ever had, if not just for the drama! While we didn't indulge, the display cabinet showcased a variety of tempting delights; I'm sure the perfect accompaniment to an afternoon tea. If you're shopping in the St David's centre then this place is certainly worth venturing outside for!

Every mouthful of our beautifully presented salads was so tasty. The slab of ginger cake to follow was the best I've tasted for years. Great coffee too.

Came here to have a breakfast in calm surroundings. The breakfast and teas are all very unique. Had the Shushaka (mince beef and aubergine with baked eggs on top) yoghurt and bread on the side. It was phenomenal. This dish was new to me and made me dream about a few times since. Will be going again for sure.

There is just nothing to fault with this place. The coffee really is the best in Cardiff (try the flat white or the Aeropress) and of course there's a huge range of different loose leaf teas. I often come here with my husband or friends just for a coffee, but they also do great cakes and sandwiches. Their afternoon tea is a lovely treat too, especially for a special occasion. What gives this place the edge is that the staff are always really friendly, welcoming and helpful. This seems to be the case across all branches of Waterloo Tea, and it's something the owners should be really proud of.

We visited Wyndham Tea for an afternoon tea and it was excellent. The staff members were friendly and helpful and provided a high standard of service. The tea itself consisted of scones with jam and cream, tea of our choice (there was a large selection), cake and sandwiches.

Met my daughter, who is a dentistry third year at Cardiff University, for lunch last Wednesday. My daughter had heard of the cafe but hadn't tried it yet but was keen to, as she is a vegan and the menu has a very good choice for her tastes. She immediately looked at the raw food choices and had a sushi type of meal which looked very tasty and she loved. I had a smoked salmon malted bread sandwich with a potato salad which was very filling and delicious. We had water with our meal. We then chose from an extensive selection of scrumptious looking cakes. It was really difficult to choose! I had a lemon and polenta slice and my daughter had a chocolate and avocado slice. They were both really delicious, although hers was the more moist and mine quite crumbly. She had a soy macchiato and I had a pot of green mint tea which came with a little egg timer for me to know when my tea was infused to the required amount of time. Very lovely decor, fresh and pretty with a relaxing ambience. The service was also very good. The bill was just under £30 for the two of us. I would definitely return when next in Cardiff. If you're a tea lover this is the place for a cuppa as the tea menu is absolutely huge.

Being fans of the original Waterloo Tea in Penylan, my wife and I had been intending to visit Wyndham Tea for a while. Taking a break from a busy day of Christmas shopping proved to be the ideal excuse.

A booking for 4 had been made following our visit to take the 'Pobol y Cwm ' set tour. We were greeted on our arrival snd taken to our table. We were given time to peruse the menu and ordered a bottle of delicious house wine. We all gave our choices from the menu and we were waited on and looked after very well. The food was delicious and will definitely return.

I recently visited this café which not only served a variety of breakfast and brunch options but also offered what I can confidently say was the best coffee I had during my time in Cardiff. I opted for a black Americano, but it was clear they took their coffee seriously, with an evident dedication to quality that shone through in every sip. The beans were expertly brewed, resulting in a rich, well-balanced flavour profile that highlighted the nuances of the coffee without being overshadowed by bitterness. It’s refreshing to find a place that genuinely cares about the craft of coffee-making. The atmosphere of the café complemented the experience beautifully. With its vintage chairs, wall-mounted artwork that added an artistic touch, and an overall relaxed décor, the space had a distinct hipster vibe that made it inviting. It’s the perfect setting for enjoying a good coffee, whether you’re looking to engage in conversation with friends or simply unwind with a book. If you’re in Cardiff and searching for a place that values quality coffee in a charming environment, this café is definitely worth a visit.
