Unreal food, but on all 3 occasions eating at Ballyhackamore waited atleast 45 minutes on week nights. For only 2 portions of wings and one side it’s just not justified. No apology for the wait or anything. On 2 occasions we even had to chase up some tap water as after 20 minutes we still hadn’t got it. Music is also unbearably loud it’s impossible to have a conversation. It’s a shame the service lets down the amazing food.

One cold miserable noght, I found myself just dandering down the Malone Road. And after a long day, I was not only tired but extremely hungry. As i was passing food places that were just looking smackbang average, I came across Wing It and i will never look back. Not only did it stand out, I was dazzled by the dazzle in the staff members eye. James "Peeks" McCarney. Make him a manager now. He could sell eskimos snow. The quality of service he gave was 100% the best I've ever received. Peeks made me realise Wing It is more than just a restaurant. Its a family ready to take in any new customers and reward them by giving them the chance to tatse the best wings in Belfast. Actually... Nevermind Belfast, the best wings in NI. Wing It is a culinary adventure that caters to wing lovers and food enthusists alike. From the moment you're stood in the queue eyeing up what flavours to choose, you are greeted by a lively atmosphere and it just makes you know you have came to the right spot. The decor is modern and inviting, with a casual vibe which makes it perfect for you and your friends to come and enjoy your night. And after these wings, if you are feeling a bit spicy, you can head into the Botannic Inn which is literally and i mean literally right beside it. So not only can you enjoy some fabulous wing, you can go enjoy a cold pint and watch the football, rugby etc. One of the standout features of Wing It is, of course, the wings. They offer an extensive menu with a variety of flavours, ranging from (my personal favourite) classic buffalo to unique house specials that will send your taste buds on an adventure like no other. Each wing is coooked to PERFECTION, crispy on the outside and sooooo juicy on the inside, ensuring that every bite is bursting of flavour. The sauces are made in-house which makes them that much fresher, and the attention to details in their preparation is evident. Whether you prefer something spicy, tangy, or sweet, you're guaranteed to find a flavour that excites your palate. In addition to wings, Wing It also offers a selection of sides that are to die for. Whether its their garlic parmesan chip or their mac n cheese ( or if you are feeling exotic, their loaded fries), they all are a perfect complement to the main wings but also could be the main themselves as the portion sizes are amazing and the taste is a didferent level. The price of Wing It compared to the portion sizes will beat any place in Belfast. You get your money well worth and will be leaving full up and blown away by the superb taste. To conclude my experience of Wing It wihtout rambling on too much aha, Wing It is a FIVE-STAR restaurant wihtout a doubt. Whether you are a local or if you are just visiting Belfast, this spot needs to be top of your list and a must go. With its mouthwatering wings, tasty sides, and exceptional service(especially James or Peeks as you know), Wing It promises a dining experience that you won't soon forget. I just had a first class experience in Wing it. The new Korean wings were to die for and I’m still buzzing from the flavor! The wings were perfectly crispy, with that addictive crunch that only comes from expert frying. Drenched in a deliciously sticky glaze, the combination of sweet and spicy notes from the soy sauce and gochujang was phenomenal. Topped with sesame seeds and fresh scallions, they were not only a feast for the taste buds but also a treat for the eyes. Wing It truly nailed it—these wings are a must-try! I also had the classic salt and chilli that were delightful as always. My waiter, a cheerful little muffin named Peeks, added an extra layer of warmth to the experience at Wing It. With his round face and infectious smile, he moved through the till with surprising agility, always ready with recommendations. Peeks seemed genuinely excited about the menu, enthusiastically describing the wings and making sure we were well taken care of throughout our meal. His friendly demeanor made the already delicious food even more enjoyable! I would highly recommend this venue and I will definitely be back soon.

Me and my son Harold went to WingIt and despite my son having social anxiety, the little man at the till James made him feel so welcome, what a gentleman he is, my son can’t stop talking about WingIt, James in particular, will definitely be going back to see him never mind the delicious chicken. Manager must have great judgement if he hires people like young James!

Wow. I am lost for words. The combination of the quality of food and the great service paired with a vibrant atmosphere. Wing it is definitely a place I recommend. I will also add that I think the young server James was excellent. He was so friendly, kind and helpful with every part of the ordering process. James along with the rest of the staff were great help and it paired greatly with the tasty food. 10/10 will be back.

The food was ok but we waited 40 mins for 2 portions of wings and a portion of mac and cheese. I understand it’s a busy Saturday night but this isn’t really acceptable for “fast food”. The wings and the mac were both cold and tbh I probably wouldn’t order again. I would have at least expected hot food after the long wait hoping that the delay meant it was fresh but it clearly had been sitting for ages.

Ordered for me and my friends on Thursday night, once we had picked up the order and drove away we realised that we had only recieved 3 of the 4 portions of food unfortunately and didn’t have time to go back and get it, food wasn’t as warm as I’d expect it to be be although it was nice.

Been twice and the wait for such simple food is unbearable. 45 minutes for some wings and fries on a quiet Sunday. There won't be a third time. Food was reasonable.

Have ordered food from here two or three times as a few people recommended it and it always arrives stone cold and often with the dip spilt all over the bag. Maybe in store is better but the service on delivery is absolutely appalling.

The food was cold and everything isdrenched in seasoning that just kills the food. We tried a variety of different foods and it's all awful, chips and wings.

i ordered 10 boneless wings, 10 with bones and 2 sides of chips from Boneyard Wing It, the box of chicken came dripping with the sticky honey all over the outside of the box and the chicken was filled with this sickly sauce, the “garlic” chips were flavourless and everything was cold despite being ordered 4 mins up the road. The flavour of my chicken was okay? just underwhelming overall for paying £36

Placed a takeaway order at the Malone shop in person on 29/08/24 at around 8.30 pm. Ditzy girl that served me told me they would call me when the food was ready. Waited over 25 mins and nothing, finally she noticed me and asked me if I needed anything - said I was waiting for nearly 30 mins for food. She proceeded to rummage under the counter and slam down my order on the counter without as much as an apology. Of course, food was freezing cold when I got home as it was clearly sitting a while as she chatted away to a delivery driver. This place used to be good but doesn't seem to give a crap about the customer now that they're doing so well. Won't be back.

Not from Belfast but up for a few days and knew we had to try this place. Had the buffalo wings, salt and chilli wings, jack Daniel’s honey wings as well as the chips and blue cheese dip. Best wings ever. Service was good and wasn’t waiting long for food. Really impressed and will 100% be trying again when next up. Also props to whoever does your social media/ replies to petty 1 star reviews, gave me a good laugh this evening.💓

Extremely disappointed! The chicken was fab but ordered for collection, gave us a time for 10pm. The staff were extremely rude and not helpful at all. Was told they had no Mac and cheese left and I could pick chips instead but the price for the Mac and cheese was more. But was not apologetic or very nice about it. Customer service needs major work!

EDIT: suggestion, music is so loud cannot hear when ordering food and ur name is called. The one at boneyard has beeping machines to let you know when ur food is ready. Or they need a microphone instead of ur food sitting going cold and having to go up and ask where it is! Not really sure why the reviews are so bad for this place. Really impressed. Was feeling a little uneasy about going because of the reviews, but I have been totally surprised. Food was really delicious, crispy and fresh wings. I thought the chicken served here was delicious, I got a takeaway which was a few minutes late but they gave me a free dip, which more than made up for it.

We travelled through Belfast on our way back to Dublin and saw amazing Tiktoks of the food from this place. The food looks great on camera but was absolutely awful. The boneless wings are like deep fried sponge that’s slightly slimy and grey on the inside. The mac and cheese was absolutely flavourless it tasted like nothing and looked like overcooked pasta in curdled milk. The only good part was the truffle fries and the sauces on the wings which were really good. Update: these guys have really redeemed themselves with their customer service. Although we didn’t enjoy our first experience, we’ve since been looked after by them and it’s hugely appreciated. Most places could do with taking notes!

Arrived to malone road, waited 20 minutes with no communication in a que , we had to hear it from another customer that their fryers were broken. I’m a very patient person but the looks I got from staff were not pleasant it wasn’t very welcoming or good customer service. To me it you want to attract people back customer service is key. After waiting an hour for our food we finally received it. There was no apology for the delay. I just think the manners of the staff on this day could have been better and a little bit of communication goes a long way.

Ordered £35 of wings in total 3 boxes of 10 wings 1 box of 6 wings. 2 of the 10 boxes were 2 sauces the other 2 boxes buffalo! Heard reports of Wing It but totally disappointed with all of the wings. Quite a few wings with red pieces of chicken and nearly all of them with soggy skin not crispy at all! M&S sell boxes of chicken wings for £1.65 per box and when cooked at home properly are delicious, will definitely not ever return for these wings! Most of them ended up in the bin!

Not a good impression of the place. We had a group of 4 and had waited at least 40 minutes to order food. Staff kept looking at the long queue and laughing while having no communication with the queue as to why they were not taking any orders. There was no orders taken in the 40 odd minutes we were waiting then they resumed taking orders and took about 2 groups that were waiting Infront of us and took one persons out of our groups order and then told the rest of us that they are suspending orders for at least 30 minutes, Pretty frustrating as it was fairly obvious we were in a group. We then just asked for a refund. The service is definitely not great but the food does look good although I never got to try it and don't think id give it another go.

Overrated. Definitely better chicken spots to get from, even KFC. Wings felt overcooked and chips were way too dry. Could also do the customers a favour by clearly separating the flavours of wings in the box, dont know how they expect you to tell the difference before you take a bite

I am a massive fan of chicken wings, I get them everywhere I see that does them when I can, there are some places that can't do wings correctly... I had always wanted to try wingit and a friend posted on her Instagram stories and said they were not great and waited ages on them, I didn't believe her even though I hadn't tried them yet it was shocked because it's what they do, how can they not get it right. The first time I came, I was excited to try the wings, I got take out, waited over an hour to get them, I got the buffalo and Jack Daniels Honey and I wasn't long getting into my car that I had to try one... It wasn't great, very soggy and the buffalo flavour was not spicy at all and tasted more of vinegar. I tried a few more and wasn't impressed, the jack Daniels weren't the best either, the only thing I enjoyed were the salted chilli chips. Tried again recently just to give it a 2nd chance, only got the buffalo again and the same. I had to chuck them in the bin, I don't get the hype, I wanted to like them but I was really disappointed. And this time around the salted chilli chips were sickeningly over salted, was too much. Again they went into the bin and were inedible tbh.

Heard such good things about this place so decided to try it last night. The chips and sauce were decent enough, but nothing to rave about. Ordered the boneless wings, that didn’t come out hot and when eating were very chewy. To cut a long story short, ended up with severe food poisoning. The chicken wings were either not cooked fully or there has been cross contamination. Hopefully you guys could be more cautious with cooking / preparing chicken as poisoning is no fun :(

The Mac n cheese on fries were nice but overall I wasn’t blown away. Might have been that the chili n garlic sauce wasn’t for me. Will want to try again before fully deciding

Went to the ballyhack location food was great and the staff were really friendly and went beyond basic service. Only issue is we wanted to bring some home for family but were told the wait would be 30 mins which is to be expected with how busy it got. Staff were great.

Was told it would be a 45 minute wait, 65 minutes later I asked was my order nearly ready to be told another 10 minutes. People were coming in to order, looking at the menu board ,deciding what they wanted only to be told, sorry we aren't taking anymore orders, a staff member should have been at the door to do this instead of wasting people's time.

Food was delicious, best boneless wings iv had, served pretty fast as there wasn't a que, but the order was mixed up but we didn't really mind, the atmosphere is ok but the area itself where you eat is not clean very dirty and messy, this could be greatly improve!

Congealed cold tasteless mush for Mac & cheese. Cheese sauce (no flavor) must be made with powder, as it leaves a powdery residue. Chicken wings covered in something gradually I could not identify. Take-away for one 58 minute to be ready. Never again.

Nice atmosphere. As for the communication for customers. Pretty poor. Tried to order for take away. Was told 25 minutes from order. Asked how long would it take to order. Another 10 minutes. Stood there for the guts of 20 minutes. Finally reached front of the queue. Then the lights and music went off. Once everything came back on. They basically said can't take orders. All while another 10+ people behind me. Wasted time.

Didn't actually get to eat here at Ballyhack tonight, but the service was abysmal. As someone who's worked in the service industry for years, I completely understand teething problems with a new place, but the ordering/queueing system makes no sense and the guy serving us acted as if it was an inconvenience we were there. Three members of staff standing behind the till chatting, plenty of empty tables, and only one till with one surly member of staff. Waited behind people who were waiting to be seated before we were allowed to order takeaway. Finally got up, ordered and paid, to then be told it would be a 45 minute wait! The guy serving us saw the look of shock on my face and said "I did tell the queue"... he might have murmured something to people near the back but nothing to us or in our earshot. We got a refund and left, had we been told it would be that long a wait for 10 wings and a burger we wouldn't have stayed queueing. Maybe customer service and sensible queueing systems aren't cool anymore but we were pretty put off by the attitude! Other reviews suggest that problems with service and wait times aren't a new thing either. Will give a couple of stars for the decor though because it looks class, but I'm really disappointed.

Friendly fun atmosphere; the staff are helpful, accommodating and easy to deal with ! The decor of the new Ballyhackamore sit in is phenomenal! A dream for Tik toks and insta stories ! The food is truly outstanding! Each bite is savoured and the flavours were perfect! I ordered the peking wings and the jack Daniel’s sandwich! The portion size is huge and the quality is 10/10 Wing it is the perfect mix of quality product and huge portion sizes !

Tasty food but pricey and menu isn’t up to date with one irl

All wings bar the franks ones are great would recommend, staff however are terrible, proper stuck up attitude and slow service. Spent half the time chatting to their mates in the queue rather than serving me when I did get served they spoke to me like I was some form of low life degenerate, looked at me with disgust when ordering and where sniggering the whole time. Place is full of people who 12 year olds mentally.

OH EM GEE! Where do I begin? A whole 41 minute walk from the dirty onion to the wing it hatch, and it was worth every step! A long queue may have occurred before i requested my order, but once i received the food there would be no complaints. The chicken wings were delicious, so juicy, soft and a great size! Pair them along the parmesan chips and ranch dip and you have yourself a match made in heaven. I fear as I write this lying in bed that I will dream of the delicious, admirable, succulent taste of Wing It, and wake to a strong salivation upon my whole face. If you need a sign to go to Wing It, THIS IS IT! Thankyou Wing It, you have made me so happy I can’t wait to be back, and to especially be served by the beautiful Ellie!

Literally never leave a review for anywhere however felt a half an hour wait behind 2 people, outside, and with lack of communication from staff to then be told (when I asked) there was another 20 minute wait to PLACE MY ORDER was worth one. I’ve been waiting ages to try this place and now I don’t care enough to attempt a 2nd time.

Visited here tonight got the 2 flavoured bonless wings and herb chios , chips were cold and the chicken i coukd make better in my house little piece of chicken with about 2 inches of spice qround it to make it look bigger and tasteless if im honnest after waiting 45mins on the food to be ready very expensive wont be back

Went downhill FAST got some wings and chips about a month ago and was really nice and thought I must go back again . So went back about a month later . Service was poor and food can only be described as NASTY . Boneless wings were horrible , chewy and tasteless. Chips were all hard ends and freezing cold. I’d be stunned if this place is still open this time next year . Another hipster joint with limited lifespan. WILL NOT BE BACK !!

Boneless wings were a bit fatty. Mac & cheese was ordered with chorizo but it was out of stock, top was nice but after you had ate the topping, the rest of it was bland and a bit sickening, only ate half of it. Saving grace was the garlic fries, they were amazing. Not sure i would go back as quite expensive for what was got.

Wings are nice and crispy without being overly battered like a lot of other places suffer from. Spicy mac and cheese is good but gets really filling really quickly. Top tier spot over all

ordered 20 wings with a side of garlic and herb chips, waited roughly 40-50 minutes, the wings are not enjoyable at all the flavours are weird and definitely not what you expect i would say the 3 pound chips were the best thing out of the menu, very dissapointed as i was really looking forward for this! but overall i do not reccomed at all and the best thing to get are the fries.

There was nothing wrong with the servers but wait time was quite long for very unsafisfactory food. The jack daniels honey tasted sickening and a bit gross. The buffalo sauce was literally just vinegar dyed orange, rancid. The mac and cheese tasted like wet bland pasta and bland cheese, almost like baby food. The chips were fine, but all the food was cold in general upon arriving.

I loved Wing it and went there just for the 'After burner' and the 'Lemon and pepper' chicken wings, those were extraordinarily good!!! :) But ever since they have taken them out of their menus, I have stopped buying :(

Mac and cheese was disgusting, waste of £5, very bland, watery, should remove them of the menu theyre that bad Wings where lovely, really nicely spiced and good portion size Ordered to collect for a certain time and food was ready 20 minutes after collection time, don’t think they started making the food until we arrived to collect and I asked for it

Food was decent however definitely not worth the wait. Queued for 40 minutes in line and then an hour wait in the cold for food to arrive- heaters at majority of the tables were not working. Staff were prioritising Deliveroo orders and girl at the till was so rude.

Saw a few videos on Tiktok and thought I'd try this out but was very disappointed. Told we'd have a 35 minute wait but ended up nearly waiting an hour but it wasn't too bad as they gave us a buzzer so we sat in the Bot and had a drink while waiting. We ordered 4 flavours, Buffalo, Jack Daniels, BBQ and Asian and 2 fries, Garlic and Herb and Parmesan Truffle. The quality of the chicken as mentioned in other reviews was very very low, my partner said the exact same thing I read earlier, tastes like frozen Iceland chicken. There was a fishy taste off the chicken as well. First time I've left a whole load of chicken wings for the bin. Fries were also very dry and not good.

What happened to this place? Huge wings when it first opened and went recently and they were tiny. Like your typical tiny pub wings. Shrinkflation? A real shame as the sauces are amazing

I recently had an awful experience ordering from Wing It. After waiting for 40 minutes, I was informed that they had run out of the item I had ordered and paid for. The customer service was shockingly poor, with a mere apology offered after keeping me waiting for such a long amount of time for nothing. To add insult to injury, they asked if I wanted a voucher or refund?– a voucher for the same place that I just stood for nothing? Absolutely unacceptable. Needless to say, I will not be back.

Not even worth it, you wait for like 15mins before ordering and once you do, you wait 1 hour (passing time car spotting; seen a McLaren). Finally got my food, wish I didn't even come. Too salty that it made mouth dry (cotton mouth). Would've been decent food if I didn't have to wait an hour.
