Lucky Duck Chinese in Belfast

fGreat little spot for a Chinese takeaway. They do the usual Chinese takeaway dishes (all of which I've tried) and they're all pretty good! We come here every week since July and the staff are always super friendly. Food portions are just right, never leaving hungry or super bloated. My favourite dish would be their Salt and Chilli King Prawns with fried rice but I'd recommend a pint or two with your meal to combat the spice! There's a great atmosphere that comes with the restaurant being within a bar and it's quite a unique experience when eating your Chinese meal :). I've been here for 8 months now and it's brilliant every time. They also have their own beer on tap called the Southside Lager with is pretty good. Overall I would definitely recommend trying this place out. Prices are usual for food in restaurants / bars. You can always stay longer for a few more drinks too.

Absolutely love the concept of this Chinese ‘takeaway’. Easy menu to choose from with classic staples of your local Chinese takeaway but inside of an on point and modern bar. This is the kind of place which matches the sophistication of London, but needs to be fostered and supported here in Belfast to truly reach its potential!

Great little bar, not very busy when we visited. But to be able to have a Chinese while have a few pints is brilliant.

I would say staff and drinks 5 out of 5 but the food nah never the food was awful tbh here I ordered the black beans (it wasn’t good at all even my colleagues they ordered different dishes and they didn’t like it)

miserable staff (ginger woman) said its open to 10pm, we went at 8.45pm and they didn't serve us & said they were closed

Extremely unpleasant experience. Staff were blatantly rude to our face. What’s the point in having a licence until 3am if the staff will shut off music and intimidate us into leaving early. One female member of staff was particularly rude, berating one of us in front of the whole bar for walking through a “staff only” that had no signs whatsoever indicating staff only. Will never return, and would recommend to all others to skip over and try somewhere else.

food was absolutely woeful, 0/10 it was so dry & bland even with the curry sauce, and they got our order wrong. not worth your money (so overpriced nevermind it was the worst food ever)

This place has a Chinese restaurant inside it and it is one of the biggest hidden gems in Belfast. I have never had such well made Wok food in Northern Ireland . You can taste the proper Smokey flavour from every part of the dish. I don’t know why it’s not more famous, this place would put the average Chinese takeaway out of business if more people knew about it

Five stars is for service. A private group closed the place longer than expected, and the manager offered a round at Town Square because we were so disappointed. The bar itself has a great atmosphere and good beer list. Give them a try !

Brilliant food presentation and good portion size. Love the concept of Chinese takeaway in a bar. Innovative drinks but found them a bit expensive. Nice staff and quick service ! Would definitely go back.

Had a great night at the lucky duck / southside launch. Great atmosphere and the chinese food was lovely. Great concept with the store inside the bar and the kit out of the bar. Great selection of beer including a few local craft beer options. Very quick service. Will definitely be back!

Had a fantastic time at southside social. When there we got food from the in-house Chinese which was incredible. Food was great and was top notch. Would highly recommend.

Visited here on a Saturday evening. Fun concept and the place had a nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Food is decent and it was a nice novelty getting a takeaway inside a pub. The bar advertises craft beer but mainly has the usual poor quality stuff on tap, Guinness and a lot of Heineken beers etc. Need to get some decent local stuff on.

A disappointing visit. A member of staff left menus on our table and after 15 minutes we had to ask one of the 5 disinterested staff who were all chatting together at the bar how we could go about ordering a drink and food. We were the only customers present! Food was presented in a cardboard box with disposable cutlery.....for dining in???? Only one choice of white wine! Definitely won't be back!

Perfect way to start the New Year with a pint and Chinese meal. Great food, ordered from the mini takeaway. Really quick service and great beers. Their Southside Lager is very good. Love it

Went to get a drink and they wouldn't except cash, not impressed. The menu was very small and they still got our order wrong. We were in at 6pm and were the only ones there but it soon filled up. Was a really nice bar but wouldn't go back.

A 10 quid reservation fee which doesn't go towards your food if you turn up? In a completely empty restaurant? That's a rip off. The food was good though. Tasted fresh and light. Staff said we were charged the 10 quid and the owner says we weren't, watch this space!
