Fantastic, got a table straight away with no booking, service was very fast to come with food which tastes so good, loads of selection to eat, very sociable place for family.

Delivery driver sat up the street for approx 10mins.

Had lunch here with a big group today. Loads of different dim sum and main across the table and nothing disappointed. The various dumplings were all prepared really well and full of flavour. The pork belly and roast duck were great. The port and pasty dim sum was like a refined sausage roll with a sweet pastry which was different and delicious. The waiting staff were all very attractive throughout the two hours we were there. We will be back for sure.

Never disappoints, great food at fair price

Vile, dreadful service and very disappointing food. It was packed but we noticed lots of people leaving food uneaten. I highly recommend not wasting money here.

Ordered off Just eat. Took them 40 minutes to cancel the order! Now, il have to wait days on a 50 pound refund! Plus, we got no food. Take the area code off your system if you do not deliver to West Belfast. Disgrace

Delivery was great but the food was abysmal. The meat was like jelly and sauce came with a thick layer of oil although it was pretty tasteless. Overpriced for poor quality in my opinion so won't be back

they ensured the order was mine to prevent any issues - the food was hot and fresh and tasted delicious per usual. prices are pretty high but i wouldn’t hesitate to buy from here again.

worst tasting Chinese food I've ever had.

This has to be the worst Chinese restaurant dining experience I have ever had. It definitely doesn't represent Cantonese cuisine. This restaurant would have closed down so fast in NYC or Toronto that you wouldn't even know that it opened but guess this is Belfast, but you deserve better. * The food is awful - too much msg / salt / flour / soy sauce / oil and the food doesn't even taste good. The beef/fish were coated with a thick layer of flour. Beef was super chewy and so was the fish . Roasted duck is C+ at best, more like C grade. * Ingredients are def not fresh, and vegetables def come from cans. Baby corn tasted sour meaning it's spoiled. * Food is super expensive and portions are tiny and they try to upsell everything. Note that this is compared to New York City standards. * No service but somehow we were charged with a 10% surcharge. No one told us, I only found out when I was checking the check. What a ripoff! * You actually need to spend more money to get a drink to recover from overdosing salt and MSG. * I can't imagine what you have to offer for dim sum 😂 TLDR: tourists be aware, avoid if you want to get decent or somewhat authentic Cantonese / Chinese food and don't want to get surcharged for non-existing services. This is a scam, the reviews are good but everything else is bad. The food and services do not match the price they are charging - the waitresses are awful, learn the trade if you try to charge service fees, be professional). The dry-fried beef river was not as delicious as the ones I made myself. The beef and fish belly were made with wood and were more chewy than rubber bands. MSG, salt, dark soy sauce, oil, thickening (very thick) seems to be free and tastes so bad. The biggest failure in Ireland so far is accidentally entering this store.

The dry-fried beef river beef was very old, and the vegetables were very salty and oily. Seeing as we are tourists, we will be forced to charge a service fee.

Would not recommend this restaurant for anyone who wants authentic Cantonese food. First portion size is small for the price. Second food tastes awful very oily, salty and lots of added msg. Third be cautious that they will add surcharge to your bill and saying that it is service fee while there is minimum service.

When you spend nearly £100 For 2 people no alcohol 9you shouldn't have to ask for a sensible size portion of Soya and Chile sauce and be told the food is spiced enough thats our decision to our tastes. Food is not as good as last year and portions are getting smaller and smaller. The question is is this value for money'? Sadley not any more!

Exceptional roasted duck and dim-sum! Just order anything on the menu, you can’t go wrong. This is authentic Chinese. Very tasty.

I enjoyed visiting the large restaurant, Lee Garden. The Chinese food tasted authentic, and the menu offered a wide variety of options. One unique aspect I noticed was the use of preserved garlic to enhance the garlic flavor. Despite arriving late, it wasn't very busy. Lee Garden is known for its dim sum, and the staff can speak English, Cantonese and Mandarin. The ambiance was quiet and pleasant. Overall, I had a positive experience and would recommend this place.

No prawns very little meat very disappointing ordered before and was not worth the money

Dim sum are of consistent quality good. Came once a month for over ten years.

In terms of what is available in Belfast, it’s your best bet for dim sum. But in terms of what dim sum can really be and taste like, it is mediocre. The variety is also limited. No where near as good as what you can get in Asia but better than nothing!

I would say this is the most terrible cantonese restuarant in the whole UK. In terms of flavor, seafood fried rice was just like a basic mixture of riced, seafood and curry, without wok-fried, and the rice was undercooked and very hard, so everyone of us just had a bite. As a cantonese, I would say the other traditonal cuisines like roast pork cheung fun, were also not good. Another thing that made me feel unconfortable was that they charged us 10% tips WITHOUT asking. Not really good experience there.

There is both a tea fee and a service fee. It is a combination of Chinese and English, and a combination of dross. The roast duck I ordered had a strong smell, which made me feel nauseated halfway through the meal.

I ordered a takeaway from Lee Garden Restaurant, and it was, without a doubt, the worst Chinese takeaway I’ve ever had in the UK—and shockingly expensive for what we received. The most disappointing dish was the so-called "Cantonese Roast Duck" with rice and Pak Choi. As a Cantonese from Singapore, I can confidently say that this is not authentic Cantonese roast duck. I've never encountered a Chinese duck dish served in fried batter. It was a far cry from what I expected. Just one look at the photo, and it's clear this is not Cantonese Roast Duck! To make matters worse, we spent £119 on this meal, which feels like an absolute waste given the poor quality. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone seeking genuine Cantonese cuisine. [In response to the owner's reply: Please either serve the authentic Cantonese Roast Duck on your takeaway menu or rename it to Deep Fried Duck in Battered. You should not misrepresent yourself.]

06/09/24 Went here for lunch with my family and was immediately greeted with disrespect as soon as we stepped into the restaurant. Staff are extremely rude and unprofessional. We nicely asked if dim sum was still available at this hour (16:30) and the waitress replied blunty ‘yes but you have to order within fifteen minutes as the dim sum chef will be leaving then’ I didn’t think much of it, i was just struck by her tone towards us. Another waitress came out and gave us cutlery in which we all said thank you and smiled but got no response from her. I was also getting weird looks from other staffs. It made extremely uncomfortable & umwelcomned, therefore I decided to look up the name of this restaurant on Google Maps to look at the reviews, i was glad to see that i wasn’t the only one who felt this way about the staff here. I read a review regarding the dim sum and how a darker asian woman asked for it but was rushed to order quickly as it was close to 5pm and thats when dim sum is no longer served but shortly a group of white people came into the restaurant & ordered dim sum & were served and this was past 5pm. As a darker skinned Chinese asian I knew the reason for the impolite attitude immediately. I also have to agree with the other reviews that the place is not clean. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone, especially if you are a darker skin asian, the staff here are all fairly pale and have a superiority complex. You are not better nor prettier than me just because you are paler than me ! Your attitude is absolutely disgraceful and you represent the asian community so negatively. It’s a challenge living in a predominantly white country already & on top of that being mistreated by ‘my people’ is a joke. I wish nothing but for this ‘white superiority’ in asian society to die but also for Lee Garden to hire better staff who are kind and respectful

Pedí una comida para llevar en Lee Garden Restaurant, y fue, sin duda, la peor comida china que he tenido en el Reino Unido, y sorprendentemente cara para lo que recibimos. El plato más decepcionante fue el llamado "Pato asado cantonés" con arroz y Pak Choi. Como cantonés de Singapur, puedo decir con confianza que este no es un auténtico pato asado cantonés. Nunca he encontrado un plato de pato chino servido en masa frita. Fue muy lejos de lo que esperaba. Para empeorar las cosas, gastamos £ 119 en esta comida, que se siente como un desperdicio absoluto dada la mala calidad. No recomendaría este lugar a cualquiera que busque cocina genuina cantonesa y china.

If you like Dim Sum that's the place to be in Belfast! I've not tried the other part of the menu but I can tell for sure their Dim Sum are delicious! You need to come before 5 to get them but it's definitely worth the trip! I've been there several times and tried Beef Cheung Fun, Pork & prawns dumplings, King prawns dumplings, Minced Beef balls, Roast pork buns, King prawns and chives dumplings... Everything was perfect!

Me and my partner had high expectations from a restaurant who recommends authentic Cantonese dishes. My partner speaks Cantonese and asked for more details. We decided to order a traditional roast pork belly and char siu, it arrived with stodgy over microwaved rice that was barely edible. Meat served without thick soy sauce, almost no flavor. The second dish we ordered was a pork belly with taro - it was tender and quite tasty but after a few bites I found 2 pieces of hard and sharp plastic and that really put me off. The waitress offered to bring another portion but we decided not to risk it again. We expected this dish to be removed from the bill but to our surprise they only gave us 50% off that item. We don't like drama, so we paid and left, but it's not how you deal with food contaminated with sharp objects!

Great dim sum destination. The food was delicious and the service was efficient and friendly. Well priced too. Recommend ho fun noodles, siu mai, pork char siu buns and fried prawn dumplings. And the tea!

Hands down, simply the best dim sum in Belfast.. and I've probably had too much of that over the years. If you like dim sum, go here. If you've never tried dim sum.. I swear down you need to get your laughing gear round the dumplings on offer here. Sumptuous. Filling. Perfect.

Food cold food 45 mins late terrible

Had three items, pork spare ribs, har gow and siu mai.. the har gow and siu mai were excellent, better than I expected.. spare ribs were ok.. Would definitely come back as it totally hit the spot Edit: Came back with a friend and was able to try out more things. Had the Beef Ho Fun, Shrimp Rice Noodle, Taro Cake (I think that's what it's called), BBQ Puff Pastry in addition to Har Gow, Siu Mai and Pork Spare Ribs. They were all very good and authentic dim sum. The BBQ Puff Pastry wasn't hot which is the only real gripe, but 10/10 would recommend if you're looking for proper dim sum in Belfast.

Pero el equipo de Lee Gardens, en la concurrida Avenida Botánica, no perdió tiempo en cuidarnos y entregar comida caliente y sabrosa para satisfacer la más exigente de las Pascuas. ¡Tanto que necesitábamos reordenar varios platos para atender a los favoritos recién descubiertos! El equipo se inclinó hacia atrás para cuidarnos. Buena comida y muy buen servicio - ¿qué no te gusta?

An ok meal here. Carrots in the special curry (not a fan), 4 ribs counted as a portion and the special fried rice was very different to how other places do it. Meh

Went for lunch with work friends. First of all, the website states £7.85 for set lunch menu but it's actually £11..95. The food was ok, I ordered from the set menu, portions a little small but I suppose it was lunch. My friend ordered some Dim Sum, it did look good, wish I had ordered some 😅 if I was to return I think it would be for dinner and if it was for lunch definitely Dim Sum.

First time getting from here. My chicken was completely covered in jelly and squishy !! Uneatable. Noodles were tasteless, salt chillie chicken wasn’t great either, Order was freezing also. Outrageous! The first time I was blackmailed while eating! After finishing the meal, I was forced to pay! After eating for 17 pounds, the boss told me to give him cash or 200 RMB. Meal for 5 here recently. We all got the set menu upgrade. It was nice, quick service too, especially coming in quite late. We got a large platter to share as we all had the same, was really nice. Mains came quickly after which was great. We all enjoyed; beef in honey chilli, sweet and sour chicken and duck in Cantonese. One person got the orange chicken which he wasn’t a fan of, a very sweet dish he couldn’t eat too much of. Everyone else’s food was great though. Desserts were fine, Lychee ice cream was literallt ice cream with lychees, i thought it may have been flavoured but I should’ve asked, my bad though. Other desserts great otherwise.

PIECE OF PLASTIC FROM THE PLASTIC TRAY WAS LOOSE IN THE FOOD AND I NEARLY SWALLOWED IT . PUT ME OFF ALL MY FOOD SO COULD NOT EAT ANYMORE . WAS POSSIBLY A GENUINE MISTAKE AT THE RESTAURANT WHERE THE PLASTIC BOXES THEY USE FOR THE WON TONS HAVE BEEN BROKEN HOWEVER BUT AT THE END OF THE DAY THAT IS AN ACCIDENT WAITING TO HAPPEN LUCKLY IT GOT WEDGED BETWEEN MY TEETH AND DID NOT GET LODGED IN MY THROAT

The food was okay but they have preferential treatment to white guests. We( Chinese) were told that dim sum was not available after 5 pm but the white guy that came in after us was able to order them. So if you are Asian please remember to be there before 5 for dim sum to be available but if you are white you will probably get dim sum at whenever 😀

If you want to get the worst service and experience, you can try here. 1. I booked a table for 13 people at 1:00pm 4 days before the visit, but got table at 1:40pm. (Because it’s my daughter’s birthday and everyone was already there) 2. Table were not set up and everything just put randomly on the spin table by an unhappy waitress. Only 12 people can squeeze in. One of my friend who lives nearby left after seeing this. 3. Nobody came to take drink or food orders until half an hour later I came to reception asked for menus. 4. We got food after 14:40pm, no sauce provided. 5. When we were finished with many dim sum left, there were still many not served at 15:40pm and I said I don’t want them anymore. But they said and they put everything in the take away box. 6. I still got 10% serving charge after this and the total bill for 12 people is £296.70, no alcohol ordered as most of them are kids. I wouldn’t stay only because it’s my daughter birthday and her friends were already there as planned. My daughter wanted to let her friends try Chinese dim sum on her birthday. I booked a table for 13 at 1:00pm for 6th of May. When I was booking through the phone 4 days ago I emphasised that there are many kids and I hope I can get the table when arrived at 1pm without waiting. The staff promised it will be fine if I don’t mind taking seats upstairs. When we arrived, I told the receptionist that I booked a table and I can see that my name is on the list. He frowned and moaned who booked this table for you, you should wait until 1:30 pm. I said but I have already booked and the staff promised. If I knew this, I wouldn’t book here and try somewhere else. He said you can leave if you want. But most of my daughter’s friends were already there, with 2 on the way, I chose to stay as I don’t want to ruin her birthday. This is her idea. She wanted her friends to try Chinese dim sum on her birthday. I didn’t say anything yesterday just because I want my daughter happy without any arguments.

Forgot the drinks food below average

I saw online that the Lee garden Chinese in botanic Avenue was doing the 3 course business lunch for £7.95 This was heavily advertised across their website. I assumed that 2 lunches & 2 cokes would be under £20 Alas when my wife & I went in we were given 2 lunchtime menus with the price at £11.95 . Not wanting to cause a fuss we ordered a starter main meal & dessert. The food duly arrived & despite being okay was a bit miserly. (2 spare ribs for starter & 1 ball of ice cream for dessert). When the bill arrived it included an unmentioned service charge. The upshot was a light lunch for two cost £31.90 . This is a fraud & I will be reporting it to trading standards. Avoid this place.

Ordered a hot & sour soup and a prawn meal. Extremely disappointed as there was only half a tub of soup. My partner and I share the meal but not this time barely enough soup for 1 person. Rang up to complain and got no satisfaction, I was told to report it, did not get replacement soup 😡

They didn't follow notes neither did the driver... I specifically asked for no veg with the prawns but they came anyway with the veg! The flavours of the smoked chicken were lovely, the curry sauce was very watery not a chinese curry... Driver took thee longest way possible to get to the address. Wouldn't rush back but would maybe go for collection!

The service was fine. For serve very quickly, which makes you think it's not fresh. It tasted like it had been reheated. Also, it was expensive. Definitely go to the burger place just up the road. You won't feel ripped off.

Absolutely disgusting customer service . Didn’t receive the right starter and they wouldn’t send the correct one. It was for my 91 yr old aunt who has dementia, can’t hear or see properly but wanted ribs for dinner. Needless to say , she hates me right me right now as I had to cook and give her a proper dinner which she really didn’t want. Digusted

The white-cut chicken has no taste, the barbecued pork is ugly, and the green vegetables are all rotten leaves, which is a lightning protection!
