Wing Hing Chinese Takeaway in Oldham

Been coming here for years. Week in week out we always have the salt and pepper box. Sadly the food has massively gone downhill. The last two salt and pepper boxes were tasteless. It adds up that they’ve possibly got a new chef as the food has gone from a 5/5 to a 1/5. Sadly lost our custom now as a result.

Used this chippy for years. Tonight ordered hot a sour soup as well as other dishes. Think they have another chef as the soup was so spicy it was un eatable. Never have I had soup from there so hot. The usual staff were not there, maybe their night off. Very disappointing 😞

Best Chinese I’ve ever had Highly recommend salt n pepper chicken Beef green pepper black bean Spring rolls Sweet n sour chicken and pork mixed Amazing ordered 6 times or so now never disappointed, going to order one just now too

Absolutely love their Chinese menu and always thoroughly enjoy meals from here! Sad to be moving next week!

The food was horrid all had a burnt taste the chips was undercooked stay away

Honestly every time we order from here the food is always amazing and fast delivery and tonight they went above and beyond as when our food was delivered they noticed it was my sons birthday and came back with some chocolates a drink and a happy meal for him honestly can’t say thank you enough would highly recommend

STAY AWAY!!!!!!!! Ordered this place tonight £35.00 order waited a while then get left a voicemail from the delivery driver saying she couldn't find my address looked outside no one was there, contact them and was told they will contact the driver. Left it they phoned back 5 min later and said the driver had said it was deliver!!!!!! It was not, they then said wait longer and we will get it sent back out. Not even an apology, refused that and he said I will recive a refund but I've not had any confirmation of that yet. HONESTY DONT BOTHER. NEEDSCLOSING DOWN

The food was amazing, highly recommended. It was delivered to us hot and on time as stated. The extras were a lovely surprise. Will definitely use again and will be recommending to family. Thank you

Ordered on the website near 6 and came to £27 for 3 items, food didn’t arrive until several phone calls asking where the driver was and finally turned up at 20 past 8, 2 hours after ordering, was not hot and one of the poorest quality takeaways I’ve eaten, wouldn’t get fed to the dogs, waste of money and food wouldn’t recommend service and food poor.

Absolutely incredible food!!!! The staff are so lovely and the driver! Huge portions. Delicious. They always treat me and my daughter to prawn crackers and fortune cookies which is really nice and always puts a smile on my kids face! 10/10

The best Pork/Char Siu chow mein EVER !!! We used to live in Oldham and had deliveries but since we moved out of area we just haven’t found a chinese chippy that compares so we decided that yes it’s a mooch to go and collect BUT it’s sooo worth it. We usually collect our deliciousness once a month and it’s sooo worth the wait. Salt and pepper chicken and salt and pepper chips are awesome too.

Really good 2 meat chow mein generous portions but hit n miss on certain days keep your standards high n good portions n people will return x

Discovered this place about a year ago and it’s become my go to Chinese takeaway with very generous portions and affordable prices.

Always great food, efficient and quick delivery. 5 stars... Well done!

Ordered from here tonight and will never use again food was disgusting and tasted foul don't know what was in the sweet and sour chicken but it certainly didn't taste like chicken and made me retch so ended up throwing the lot in the bin and the beef in the beef Cashew nuts was absolutely awful like eating elastic. Dreadful waste of money.

Food is amazing, delivery service is usually very good and they have an app which makes ordering really easy. It’s a bit on the expensive side however. Especially if you order via app for delivery (costs extra).

I ordered salt and pepper chicken and the chicken was harder than rocks. They had me waiting for 35 mins to recieve cold food. Would mot recommend ordering from here.👍🏾

I order fairly regularly through the Wing Hing app usually. They always accommodate my request to switch an ingredient...which for me makes it the best dinner...yummy. We all enjoy our food from you guys. Thank you x

Stay away from this place i ordered salt and pepper chips twice .when i got home i openes them and the chips looked crispy and hard only to realise that the potatoes had been reheated from the previous day .i took back and explained this they gave me my money back with no argument .the foods disgusting and service is slow

ordered @1900 due to be delivered @1945 food eventually arrived @2125 i had to phone to see where the order was and was told it would be with me for 2045 delivery diver said we were one of the lucky ones others had waited 3 hours ABSOLUTELY APPALLING SERVICE

Fresh chips made from fresh potatoes, best chips I'vee had in a long time.

Ordered from here numerous times. Never had one issue. The food is nice and you get plenty of it. I don't mind waiting over a hour for it.

Absolutely ridiculous service my 80 year old mother ordered food as a treat and waited over 1 hour when calling this shambles an establishment was told it had already been delivered (not so she was sat in her front garden) with neighbours sat outside. When called by my mother and myself the reply was its been delivered when I told them it hadn't. They replied it had and it would cost £1.50 for the driver to come and confirm it had. This was ordered via uber eats even though I believe it is thier own delivery driver.so beware of this establishment and don't believe you are covered by uber eats Unfortunately we can't give a minus rating

Food is disgusting, chips hard and greasy, the seaweed tasted awful nothing like what I've had before and the chow mein came in a snotty looking foul smelling sauce. All of it went straight in the bin I will never order from here again

Just had uber eats from here, chips were stale not fresh ordered 2 ok dishes one chicken one beef was all put together instead of seperate also ordered 2 dishes of chicken and beed chiw mein this was all mixed together in same tray ordered salt and pepper combination was also stale and hard. Vert disappointed ordered £25.00 worth of food.

Average and delivered an hour late

Ordered at 6:30 still waiting at 20:50... called and said they was waiting on drivers next order. Decent heathy option at this rate I’ll be having breakfast first

Delivery was fast and a cheerful driver, and the food was nothing short of amazing! Tasty, big portions, and the ribs were the best around here. Definitely my go to chippy.

Was a regular, won’t be any longer! I have always thought customer service was not great here, but after receiving £25 worth of freezing food, to have the owner come to my house at 11pm after hours with my refund, shouting at me in my own doorway. Without a face mask and also invited herself in my porch whilst she was at it - and told me I wouldn’t be getting my money if she didn’t give her the food back!!! I gave her my actual plates and told her to take it as I now have a diabetic without any tea. Food was ordered at 8:30pm and was received at 10:20pm Freezing!! (I even tried to microwave before complaining to save any hassle) Then had to argue my way for my refund. Customer service is just as important as quality and when you don’t get either I can guarantee a no return.

Sat 6th Feb. Ordered food for delivery at 6.15pm now 8.35 pm and still waiting terrible😩😩

Chips were a bit rank there was hard and had black eyes in them, rice was nice and curry sauce tasted a bit perfumy

Ordered through Uber eats. Restaurant must have the phone off the hook as no answer ever! 3hrs later and still shows out for delivery, meantime I’ve been to McDonald’s driven home eaten and managed to write this review while their status is out for delivery. Later on a lady called me like 3hrs 20 mins after the order to tell me she doesn’t know what I want. No apology Do not use!

Friday afternoon. Delivery came 3 minutes earlier. Hot food, freshly cooked👍 The food was tasty, big chunky chicken pieces; home made chips. The portions are huge; Amazing 10+ P.s we've got prawn crackers and fortune cookies for free 😍

Ordered food online at 3pm for 19-30 delivery food turned up at 21-20. Tried calling from 20-00 until 20-45 no answer had to turn delivery away because already had food in oven

The food from Wing Hing is always gorgeous. They are lovely people too and have exemplary customer service. Huge portions, proper chippy chips, never had a bad meal. We order from them regular and last night had a bit of a mix up with ordering through the app... Today the manager came to my house to give me a full refund and chocolates offering a personal appoloy. I am really touched by this and we will continue to order from Wing Hing, thank you! Excellent company 😊

Tried this for the first time in years. Salt & Pepper wings had too much batter on. Hot & Sour Soup was like a spicy tomato soup. Chicken Szechuan wasn’t one little bit spicy, and the Two Meat Chow Mein was also very bland and tasteless. Very disappointed and won’t be ordering again unfortunately 😟

very Disappointed since new owners took over it’s gone down hill, first visit I walked home with my order for me and my family to find I’d been given somebody else’s order. tried to give it the benefit of the doubt to find items missing from my order, on my return I was then told I wasn’t charged for them items, so I just payed again and left. after looking at the price list online I’ve been charged for items twice. Check your order before you leave

Eat here regularly, food is nice, the salt and pepper share box is amazing get a lot aswell

The best Chinese takeaway we've had in a long time. The chips are proper chippy chips, my husband and daughter love the salt and pepper chicken, they say it's really tasty. I've tried the beansprouts, blackbean, broccoli and cashew nut dishes. You get a really good sized portion, loaded with meat and vegetables. We highly recommend this place, also use their app for a loyalty discount!
