Wine and Mousaka in Ealing

Delicious Meze, superb value, amazing owners who make you feel like royalty.

Andy took great care of use; mousaka was definitely my fav, closely followed by lamb meatballs!

Classic Cypriot food and hospitality at its best. Carefully flavoured and cooked to perfection, this is what a Meze should be, but all to often falls short. An old fashion, cozy and friendly family run restaurant. You will not be disappointed!

Experience on the food was mixed. The lamb souvla and the grilled prawns were excellent but the kleftico was not inspiring and was rather tasteless. One starter was missed until we finished all others, and had to remind them of the missed item. These are small things and don't bother me. One thing that really put me off was when you order a bottle of wine and the bottle comes already opened - suggesting the bottle may have been reused - fine it's an old trick, but given "wine" was in the name of the restaurant that is a bit poor for an extra few quid of profit. They could have put a "carafe" of wine down on the menu if that's what they're going to do, and be done with it. Even though the bottle was the house wine (£24) customers should still be respected, please don't come with an opened bottle and ask if we wanted to try the wine, that's just simply hilarious! The ambiance was good, the loos were a bit of a mess but otherwise they made the awkward space work well. Overall the price to quality ratio (£50 per head for a starter and a main) doesn't do it for me.

Great food, great service, great location. I likes the soup that I never tasted. My husband likes the mousaka.

I would love to like this restaurant because the owner was very nice and friendly, but unfortunately the food was really not good. I think a big part of it comes from the quality of the ingredients which seems extremely low. The haloumi was literally like plastic, it was squeaking in my mouth when I was chewing. The chicken was overcooked and also really did not seem fresh. Very disappointed, I hope they can improve because they seem nice otherwise and cannot be faulted on the service.

The food was so tasty, the place was warm & cosy and the service friendly. Definitely recommend trying the souvla (lamb roasted on a spit). Just go!

I celebrated my dad's birthday at this restaurant, the other week, and it was absolutely fantastic. The food was incredibly authentic, and even though we were just a stone's throw away from Ealing Broadway tube station, it felt like we were transported to Greece. We paired their amazing Beef Stifado and Moussaka with their delightful Naoussa red wine. The menu described it as dry and full-bodied, but to my surprise, it had a light and fruity character. Nevertheless, it was delicious and complemented the beef and lamb perfectly. Overall, it was an amazing evening out!

I went here with my Husband, 2.5 weeks ago. The food was absolutely amazing. We both had the different lamb dishes, good size portion, lovely desserts. The service was great, lovely ambiance in the place and I think it is excellent. Definitely, eat here. Lovely food. The staff are all super friendly and professional.

One of the most positive experiences at a restaurant I've ever had. Life long Londoner and rarely treated like I was at Wine & Mousaka. Ordered the Meze course. Asked if we could swap out a specific item neither of us were fond of and the chef made us both something specific tailored to us instead. Food quality was excellent and serving staff were polite and prompt. Offered a shot of liquor each, at meals end on the house. Atmosphere was comfortable and welcoming. Had a laugh with the owner too. If you find yourself in the North West area and fancy some Greek/Mediterranean cuisine, I cannot recommend Wine & Mousaka enough.

Had the Mez plates for two and starting with the dips we had a real taste of Cypriot food. Plate after plate came out and each one was great flavours. Our host invited us to a brandy to finish off the meal and was a great experience. Highly recommend this place.

The food was nothing special and is not authentic greek. The owner was rude and pushy with her foh staff in front of the guests.

Our kebabs were overcooked and didn't taste nice at all. It's a family run restaurant hence the service is decent. The atmosphere is not great and it's mostly appropriate for middle age people.

Quite disappointed Bad qualify and to small dessert to be Greek! Most likely the dessert was bought from super market and heated up in microwave before serving to us. Waste of money for a Greek costumer unfortunately

Excellent food and wonderful hosts

This restaurant is at the end of the road I live on and tonight was my first visit, despite walking past most days for 6 years! My friends and I had a delicious meal, enjoyed brill service and really enjoyed our evening. What a wonderful place to visit. I’ll be back!

Such a wonderful restaurant … lovely, home-cooled style food, great wine, and the loveliest wait-staff all create a nice, local restaurant atmosphere. Would 100% recommend!

Delicious Greek food, great wine, housed in a really cosy historic setting. I went here with friends but it would also be a great date spot. Most importantly, the owner takes pride in the quality of the food and drink, and it’s important to support small businesses in lieu of all the chains cropping up that don’t treat customers with the same care. I’m vegetarian and there were great option, I highly recommend the stuffed peppers or moussaka. Thank you for a lovely evening!

Fantastic. Lovely family owned restaurant. Customer service was second to none. Small and intimate venue. The meze was brilliant for £27 and included pretty much everything on the menu. Highly recommended

Arrived here almost by chance and without a reservation - not a good idea because they're busy - but they found a table for us and served up excellent meals. Family run and we will be back to try other dishes.

This family run gem is one of my favourite Ealing restaurants. They never disappoint with their delicious authentic cooking, using high quality ingredients, and the staff are lovely.

Had a fantastic dinner at Wine & Mousaka in Ealing Broadway. If you're after a traditional, authentic Greek meal, this is the place to eat!!!, Andy the Chef truly represents Greece 🇬🇷 and Andy the hostess can give lessons in customer service!

We were a group of four and had a wonderful meal in Andy and Androulla‘s delightful restaurant. They are superb hosts. We will be returning to enjoy more of the great food.

Great family run restaurant! Came for a meal with my partner a while back and was massively impressed by this beautifully authentic restaurant, housed in a gorgeous tudor building. Would definitely recommend trying the mezze platter for a taste of everything, paired with one of their many Greek/Cypriot wines they stock. Baklawa is always a must for me and it did not disappoint. Staff and owner were extremely helpful and friendly, going above and beyond to offer the best possible service. Will definitely be visiting again soon!

I'm going to this restaurant again. Excellent service the staff and owner are very friendly. This is backed up with delicious food. I had the meze that was on the menu. Unfortunately I didn't take any pictures because I couldn't wait to tuck in. It doesn't come cheap so I'd recommend you bringing a bit of cash. But is worth every penny. This place is a hidden gem. I'm definitely going there again.

We ordered Meze for two to celebrate a special birthday, and were delighted. The food was an absolute feast - so many different dishes, each carefully packed, with plenty of pitta bread and fresh Greek salad. Ordering was simple and collection time was spot on. We would have eaten in, had it not been lockdown, and we plan to go back when that's allowed again.

This restaurant is the best restaurant I've been to. The staff create a friendly, caring and family-like atmosphere. Nothing is too much for them. The food is delicious! This is a perfect restaurant to reserve for family celebrations. Highly recommend.

Yes, just "OK" but please take into consideration that it has been around for very, very long time with a lovely staff. Some competition in West Ealing but given two local Greek restaurants going out of business, the only choice in central Ealing. Simply go for mezze and Kio 🍺

Brilliant. Had dinner with the Mrs some time ago. Had an excellent experience, and the food was truly good and authentic. The service was on point and the staff were friendly and attentive. It can be loud in there but depends on the crowd and time/day chosen. I’d definitely recommend and will come back too.

Nuestras expectativas eran altas con todas las críticas positivas en Tripadvisor. El lugar estaba bastante ocupado los sábados por la noche y tenía un ambiente acogedor (casi estrecho). El servicio era cálido y amable, pero la comida era mediocre en el mejor de los casos y bastante caro. En particular, los platos principales de souvlaki de cerdo estaban cortados en cubitos demasiado pequeños e inevitablemente estaban muy secos. También se sirvió apenas tibio. Y a los 15 años para una pequeña brocheta de carne servida en una cama de arroz no era una relación calidad-precio particularmente buena. Realmente queríamos que este lugar nos gustara más, pero nos quedamos bastante decepcionados.

Wonderfully warm restaurant with the most fantastic and friendly staff. Hospitality like this is such a rarity nowadays, especially in London. The food is delicious and really good value, we had a meze each for an extremely fair price of £24 each and it did not disappoint as we were well and truly stuffed after. The warm hospitality is enough to warrant a visit!

I visited Wine & Mousaka with a friend who eats here regularly and often talks about how good the food is. I was not disappointed and had a wonderful experience. The vegetarian mousaka is simply fantastic and the family who own the restaurant couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful - the traditional coffee and the wine list are also worth a mention as being particularly good.
