Wildwood Restaurant in Conwy

We had a fantastic Italian meal in this restaurant. We had tiger prawn starter with sauce to die for. The main course was penne arribiata with chicken, the best that I have ever had! I hope to be back. The staff were lovely

Front of house and waiters all very friendly food was delicious prices are about average but they also do an afternoon menu that is really good value good choice on cocktails fast service even though it was really busy do recommend booking as saw a few ppl getting turned away as it was fully booked also good variety on kids menu

We came to Llandudno for 3 days and ate here twice as we loved it so much! My 11 year old says it was the best pizza he's ever had! Nice, varied menu with some lovely choices. Staff were kind, efficient and happy to help. We will definitely return.

As always an amazing evening. Great food and service although they were very busy. Tom as always is great and service from Joe was excellent! We will be back!!

I visited here with my husband. Within minutes of sitting down the waitress took our drinks order. These were delivered quite quickly and our order for food was then taken. The meal arrived shortly afterwards and was just okay. Things then went downhill. Despite the fact the staff members had to walk past our table to get to the kitchen, at no point did anybody ask if everything was alright and none of them appeared to notice when we had finished eating, clear our table or ask if we required desserts. In fact they completely ignored us altogether! After sitting there for 20 minutes, we decided we would go. Remarkably I was able to attract a staff member almost immediately when I asked for the bill which was placed in front of me and the amount so swiftly keyed into the card machine I hardly had chance to look at the bill to check it! I was slightly annoyed later to discover a 10% service charge had been added. I believe a service charge should be discretionary. I will always leave a tip for good food and service, but on this occasion the food was mediocre, overpriced and the service, which started reasonably well, was overall very poor.

Delicious meal, excellent service... efficient and friendly, pleasant surroundings, reasonable price. Would recommend. Will return.

I have rated the restaurant before and wasn’t impressed but went here today for lunch with my wife, the starter, pizza and desert was really good we used the vouchers sent by wildwood 1 as it was my birthday next month and got and got a free bottle of Prosecco and desert and the other was buy one get one free pizza, the service was brilliant, Tom was great his attention to service was 5 stars he is a creator the restaurant as was the rest of the staff. Today has changed my opinion of this wildwood restaurant and will be going back next week with my family

Very poor service. We waited for an hour for an order that was clearly forgotten. The waiter lied that it wasn’t and we got our order 15min after. The food wasn’t even worth it.

Tidy restaurant with good service. Menu lacks inspiration but does the job.

The food was lovely as normal very quick service and nice environment. The only downside is the tip is already put on the bill at the end. The servers don't always tend to your table or do check backs only when you're halfway through our food did the waiter come and check on us and our food.

It was ok but have had better, pricey for what you get but the food is ok, portion size is on the small side and the drinks are on the expensive side

Great Italian in the heart of Llandudno. Food was lovely (calzone and a chocolate brownie), well cooked and seasoned. Cocktails well made and staff very attentive and pleasant. Restaurant was fairly quiet, but you expect that on a Sunday evening, however did not have to book and was seen straight away. If you like Italian food, this is definitely the place for you.

Just had a lovely lunch here today and couldn’t complain about a thing, which is extremely rare for me!! We were worried about some recent poor reviews but decided to chance it as it looked so nice and was so glad we did, thank you Guys for the quick, friendly and attentive service and the absolute scrumptious garlic and cheese flat bread, penne Arabbiata, prawn and Courgette Risotto washed down with a glass of red and French Martinis. Yes there was a 10% service charge added but we were told twice that it could be removed without any problem but everything was so nice that’s what I would have tipped anyway. Whilst there I overheard a decorator quoting to repaint so it will be even nicer soon.

First time here last night and I can’t fault it at all. The service from the minute you walked through the door was spot on making sure we was all ok from drinks, food and even taking photos for us. There was about 10 of us but that didn’t phase the staff at all. Would definitely go back.

Me and my partner visited here, the staff were all very friendly and welcoming. And the food was brilliant! Will definitely be visiting again.

Looks really good from outside and you can see pizza oven roaring ithe back Half empty but soon filled up. The service isn’t the best waited ages to be asked for drinks when regulars served straight away, I would have gone by this point but the wife said no. Food came out pizza over cooked middle burnt And burgers just warm and greasy as the chips were. Shame as they have the potential but can’t execute it .

We've been 3 times now, it's becoming a 'must-do' when we visit Llandudno. Great food and drinks and excellent service. A bit pricey, but worth it.

My husband and I went in Saturday night for a meal .it was very busy but shown our table quickly. We ordered a Calzone . I have to say we were both disappointed in what we got. All the end bits were very dry . For 14.95 not a lot of filling inside which was very disappointing also only luke warm. As we don't live in llandudno I doubt very much we will be back at this restaurant at all .

While the food at Wildwood Llandudno wasn't terrible, the experience left much to be desired. Disappointingly small portions left plates looking bare, especially considering the high price tags. Service was lackluster and impersonal, further marred by a service charge that felt unwarranted and was ultimately removed. With numerous better and more independent options in town, Wildwood is easily missed.

Don't agree with 10% being added to the bill it should be up to the customer to tip what they think it is worth the food was quite good but I would not have not given a tip I did give the extra 10% because I felt obliged

We ordered 2 starters and 2 mains. The first starter and the first main were severed 30 minutes after we ordered, and the second starter and the second main hadn’t been severed until 90 minutes after ordering. Waiters were of good attitudes, but they were too busy and there were only few waiters. Bad experience.

A good selection of food. Served hot and in a timely manner. After food service was lacking, but I would return.

Very poor food I had to ask for parmasan cheese 🧀 for my pittyfull portion of pasta bolognese very small for £14.50 and not even a portion of bread . all so my partner asked for a minute steak at £15.25 which she could not chew very tough no vegetables and a meen portion of chips our bill was £32.72 NOT A GOOD ITALIAN RESTAURANT VERY EXPENSIVE FOR WHAT IT IS .

Oh dear. Everything that could go wrong did go wrong. Friends steak was cold, next replacement was gristle and the last one was too well done. She ended up with a burger. They left off one main course. My chicken was hot but the potatoes with it were tepid. They were busy. We did get a complimentary bottle of champagne (it was New Years Eve) and a couple of mains to make up for it so top marks to them for doing their best to make things better. Have been here before and will return no problem.

It’s a shame that the service is so poor at Wildwood because the food is lovely. We have been here 3 times and every time we say how amazing the food is but how awful the service is. Staff are incredibly rude with no people skills. We waited 20 minutes before someone asked for our drinks orders. I would understand this if it was busy but it wasn’t. Staff just walked past people waiting to order. Staff were also so uncoordinated. We had another waiter ask us for our drinks order 10 minutes after we’d ordered. We also within 1 minute of having our food had a staff member ask how our food was before we’d even started. This did not affect us but demonstrated the lack of coordination and training among the staff. The food, we cannot fault. We had the steak and the mushroom and chicken penne. They were beautiful. I also highly recommend the sweet potato fries, the nicest I’ve ever had. After finishing our food we asked for the bill. We watched the waiter we’d asked just standing around, then to come up to us after 15 minutes and said “you wanted the bill didn’t you?”. Again, I would understand forgetting about our bill if they were busy but they weren’t. Although this may seem as a criticising review, I hope someone sees this and gets appropriate training for the staff because it is such a beautiful place and the service really lets it down. With appropriate service this place would be 5 star guaranteed.

We went as a group of 16. All courses were pre ordered. There did seem to be a long wait for the food, but the restaurant was busy. The wait for the pudding was very long though and by the time the last had come out, the first had long been finished. The pate was really basic for the price. Tasted nice but no greenery. Just pate, bread, chunk of butter and a blob of chutney. The buttermilk chicken burger was really greasy and again not much greenery. But I guess if I wanted leaves then I should have ordered a salad. Three of our table sent their mains back due it being cold and or overcooked. They were offered a replacement free of charge and the cost of the course was removed from the bill. Same happened for one pudding. Apparently if you visit the restaurant in a normal sized group, it is a lovely meal but for such a large table it didn't really seem to work.

The BEST steak I have ever had. Entered as a lone diner and was made to feel super welcome by all staff. Food was absolutely impeccable and so was the service. All in all, faultless food and fantastic service. Would definitely recommend to all

We went there with a large group of people and the service and food was absolutely amazing. In particular the man who served was fantastic and made the whole experience fantastic 👏.

Great place, busy on a Saturday night and with a great atmosphere. Staff all very friendly & polite and the food was exceptional. The seafood pasta is a particular favourite and was superb. Service seemed a little rushed though. Our starters came out a few minutes after we ordered and within 20 minutes of being seated, we were on our mains. A little disappointing considering we had a 2 hour slot. However, the service and food made up for the issue. We'll most likely return again.

We went as a party of 10 to celebrate a birthday, great atmosphere and food, what made it truly special was the manager excellent hosting with warmth and laughter 😀

We visited here on a Saturday night, really busy but the weather was good for late November. We were seated straight away, and they gave us a few minutes to look at the drinks menu, we decided on a bottle of prosecco, seeing that this was our anniversary meal. Then we ordered our food. I decided on calamari and ribs, which i must say were delicious. The gap between the two courses was very small and we had to have to ask for our drinks after our starter had arrived. They asked straight after our mains if we would like a dessert, of course we did, but in the meantime, we had got chatting to a lovely couple so forgot to look at the menu, again they seemed a bit rushed. The lemon custard dessert was beautiful. It came with the most creamiest of ice creams, delicious 😋 All in all a really pleasant experience with wonderful food. Definitely worth a try.

TBH, my meal was not very nice. However, the party I was with enjoyed theirs. Perhaps it’s a one off!

Ordered online and went to collect. If you do the same make sure you physically check the contents of the sealed bag they give you... My order was missing the fries. I called them when I got home, said they couldn't find my number to contact me even though it was provided online making the order. Poor.

Very helpful staff, sadly no non alcoholic lager, pannacota or tiramasu. It had been a very busy weekend but stock ordering should have sorted these mussing items.

Food was absolutely gorgeous will be coming back every year for mine and my Mrs anniversary very polite and friendly staff really enjoyed our meal tonight.

First visit..food very good and cooked fresh to order so had to wait a while. Asked waitress to take orders separately as needed individual receipts..she put it all together and caused a problem when it came to paying bill so had to get the manager to sort it out. What a lovely gentleman he was and couldn't be more apologetic, he also knocked off service charge. Need to book as very busy. Will eat there again

Waited 20 minutes for our drinks to arrive, when they finally did the milk was like cottage cheese. Food was served to the table very slow, no one checked on the table or offered more drinks. Waiter was rude, we were made to feel unwelcomed.

Visited on a very busy Friday night, and they managed to fit us in. The manager was very helpful in regards to dietary requirements. Nice tasty food, not entirely authentic Italian.

Really lovely Gluten free options here. Service was amazing, lady serving us was very knowledgeable and helped with suggestions from the menu and drinks. Better than all the other restaurants we visited in Llandudno.

Terrible experience of this place, I could write an essay about it, but I won't. It's badly managed, the food was, on the night we visited, of very poor quantity and quality, the service was in dribs n drabs, slow and inefficient. Behind the scenes, when using the toilets said a lot, dirty, unclean, not tidy and unkept. To add insult to injury, they put on a 10% service charge without asking. Stay away, there's far better places to eat in Llandudno.

Had lunch there and it was delicious. Staff very friendly. Lovely place.

The best food Atmosphere Service top

Busy place, we walked past the night before and it was packed around 7.30. We went at 6.00 and again very busy. Food was good I had a philly steak sandwich with fries it was warm though not hot. My partner had the prawn risotto which was very spicy. A nice place that is obviously very popular. Some of the tables are close together. Maybe not for people who like a more quiet eating experience.

Beautiful place with amazing food and a lovely atmosphere. The service was quick and they were very attentive. I appreciate also that when the bill came the waitress told me there is a service charge and she is happy to remove it if I am not happy with it but considering the service I was probably going to leave more. Thanks for seating us on a short notice

Had reserved for 16 people, no deposit required, food was very good especially the fish platter for two.

Use to be my favourite restaurant. So disappointed , staff defo need some proper training, mega slow service for drinks and food, ribs burnt black. What a shame use to look forward to eating there. Many friends have stopped going there also because of the drop in standards. Shame on you Wild Woods employ more staff youve followed suit and have took on the Weatherspoons approach.

Our large party booking was delayed half an hour, but the staff were accommodating and gave us a free round which was nice. The food did take some time to arrive and there were a couple of mistakes in the order, but the quality was good. The ribs were amazing and the normal pizzas were of good size and quality. The staff appeared to be somewhat under pressure. With a little more attention to detail this place could be 5* across the board.

Had the pizzas, which were pretty good. Staff were quite disinterested and inattentive, although to be fair they were understaffed. Added a service charge to the bill, which for two people is both greedy and presumptuous. When I tip it is both for decent service and for the waiting staff - not to boost the owners profit. Will not return.

We called in on a whim on our day out today. It was very busy but the staff handled it so well and they were lovely people with 5* customer service. Overall a positive experience. The manager was very attentive to our needs (vegan) and the service although there were a couple of hiccups was good. They were definitely understaffed front of house so I feel they did very well under the circumstances. The food was served warm and was very tasty indeed, we all had pizza. We will be back or better yet when will you open a branch in Chester?

Probably the worst service i have ever experience for 20+ years.. staff slow and hopless missed all sorts of the order. 40 mins to get a drink when we sat at our table... asked to order drinks at 9.58pm to be told you will have to make these your last ones i am trying to get the bar closed down..... absolutely disgrace place

Food was fantastic, service on the other hand was not great at all I would understand if it was busy but it wasn't, wait for drinks didn't get them until after the food came and I had to ask for them, also gave them to the wrong table and took forever to get the bill.

The food was very good, tasty, hot, and flavoursome, the service although friendly was not very attentive and quite slow. I am not sure the female staff member with short hair should be making a fuss of the customer's dogs sitting outside while serving, purely from a hygiene perspective, nothing against dogs I have two myself. I would also prefer to leave my own tip rather than you assuming a tip and adding it to my bill, but overall I liked it.

Brought a group of tourists in, reserved tables were great, nice and bright restaurant, group enjoyed the food/drink and service.

Nice enough food, pleasant staff, not enough carbonara sauce on my pasta for the price. Wine also pricey for rather ordinary wine. Nice enough setting and v popular.

Upon arrival, I was informed that there was no seating due to a lack of staff, even though there were clearly empty tables. I was asked to make an online reservation and return an hour later. The dining area was average, and the food was good. It’s worth noting that they automatically add a 10% tip to the bill.

The floor staff should get a raise, worked off their feet due to being short staffed but done a great job, food was pretty good too.

Wow what a lovely not so hidden gem! Beautiful food kids menu such value for money. Beautiful inside very classy! Only slight little niggle is the wonky rocking tables. Every else spot on will definitely be returning.

Good portion sizes, good food, absolutely lovely staff! Got seated almost immediately (as a walk-in group of 5 this was probably very lucky) and put on a lovely window table away from the others - usually I'd expect the service to be less attentive if you're tucked away, but our waitress Cali was super lovely and patient and checked on us the perfect amount. Really lovely service, and a great variety of dishes to choose from! Everyone's food looked and smelt gorgeous - only reason I'm rating the food a 4 is that I made the mistake of getting a carbonara, which I found a bit bland (as I've always found it at UK restaurants honestly - I still enjoyed it!), and my friends' dishes looked so nice that I got jealous.
