Best Chinese take away in Sheff. Amazing veggie options inc mock chicken, mock duck, tofu etc. Good size portions, well priced and fast delivery when I’ve ordered through them directly too. Aside from the huge vegetarian options, the meat dishes are also apparently top notch. Been going for years and always hits the spot. 🔥

Our favourite Chinese takeaway in Sheffield. Have ordered here 100s of times over the years, great vegan options, love these guys, cannot recommend highly enough. Try the Thai vegetarian pancake rolls, tofu curry, sweet and sour mock chicken Hong Kong style and the mock duck pancakes.

If you like onions. This is for you. Also uncooked onions. Luke warm food. All veg not cooked. Never again

Great food always ontime and the only Chinese restaurant i order from. In the last2 to 3 years they have only ever got my order wrong once which for a takeaway is pretty good.

First time trying the food from Tons of recommendations. It's fantastic. I've tried 10 or 11 Chinese in Sheffield and this is by far the best so far. The portions are gigantic. The ribs were huge and fell off the bone. The meal for one was amazing, huge rice , chicken with black pepper sauce and Chicken balls . Far too much for one person. The house chow mein had 4 different meats and veg in and it was huge too. Fed 3 of us with some left . Really good and can't wait to try more. They have alot of Thai food too

Good takeaway. But bulked up with load of onions. Hardly any pepers and large curry sauce less than half full This seems to be the trend pay more and get less.

Haven’t been here for a while, but collected last night. Braved the snow and ice. What a great choice it was. Wild Rice is incredible, always has been. Last night we got some meat dishes for my self and veggie stuff for my girlfriend. 2 mains each, rice, noodles, prawn crackers and spring rolls… £28! Great price and the food was equally as good. THE BEST CHINESE FOR MEAT EATERS AND VEGGIES! Ignore any low review about this place because the reviewers clearly have no taste or patience for busy nights 🙏🙏 keep it coming Wild Rice

The best Chinese takeaway in the whole of Sheffield. Used to order from here at least once a week when I lived in Sheffield but now I’ve moved away it is the only thing I miss. Definitely recommend over other Chinese takeaways in the area, this is always so flavourful and good portion sizes.

Best Chinese takeaway I've ever used. The range of vegetarian and vegan is particularly good. Bit pricey but they are quick, consistent and give you freebies over certain amounts. Portions are good, well worth the money. Be aware though it is phone only and cash only. Don't let that out you off though

We've been ordering from here for years. The food is always really tasty and the service is fantastic. There are so many options for vegans (they include all allergens on their menu so you can check what's suitable). Our favourites are anything salt and pepper, especially the chips and aubergine, and the tom yum goong soup - yum!

Tried this place a few times now. Good price, nice food, good delivery time. I wish you could order online as I don't always have cash but I guess they just like to keep it old school. They got an item wrong once and sorted it quickly with re-delivery. I will keep using it as my favourite Chinese ever (Noodle Love) closed down last year. Thumbs up so far.

Ordered from here for the first time after hearing good things; definitely was not disappointed! The food came very quickly, (we are S13, and food arrived in 25 mins from ordering, not bad on a Saturday!) was very well priced, and tasted amazing. There are loads of veggie and vegan options, and we went for the salt and pepper veg starter for 2, mock duck, Tofu tod and sweet and sour mock chicken. This was between 3 people and there was loads! We couldn't finish it all. We also got a big bag of spring rolls free. The food was well cooked and not overly oily like some takeaways can be. I not recommend enough of you are looking for a Chinese in Sheffield.

*********** ATTENTION ALL SHEFFIELD STUDENTS/RESIDENTS **************** This is game, set and match. There's no Chinese spot in the whole city that can do what wild rice do. From affordable prices to quick delivery times even at peak times, there's no real place to fault. I've ordered from Wild Rice many times, and my personal favourites on the menu are the mixed vegetable curry, aubergine in black bean sauce, and the mock chicken in black bean sauce. I haven't tried any of the meat options, but my flatmates have and they all agree it's great value for money and very tasty. The vegetable spring rolls and dumplings also can never go wrong. Not to mention the great vegetarian and vegan options. There's a wide range of options like tofu, mock chicken, mock duck and vegetables to ensure that no one gets left out because of their diet. Don't get me wrong here folks. I'm not trying to say this is the tastiest, or the most incredible Chinese food you'll ever eat. But what I am saying is, if there's a bad dish on their menu, I haven't tried it yet. You don't have to worry about if one option isn't gonna be nice or if you shouldn't get a certain dish because maybe no one orders it and it's just sitting in a freezer somewhere; it's all up to a very high standard, not to mention the great value for money, with most individual dishes not being over £5. Delivery times have ranged from 30-45 minutes, normally on a Friday night. Compared to some pizza places I won't name, you're getting blessed with times like Wild Rice's times. If you're like me and you've been wanting to get Chinese takeaway but other spots in Sheffield just aren't doing it for you, this is it. Call Wild Rice and get sorted out.

The dumplings were passed onto me as vegan a few weeks ago and yesterday I found out they contain egg!!

Unacceptable service. After ordering at 7pm on Saturday night we were told it would be 1.5hrs delivery, which we were fine with. At 8:30 we called up to check it was on the way and they promised (!!) it would be with us in 20 mins - not too bad so we waited. Only a few minutes later they called us back to say they were too busy to deliver and could we collect it! We had had a drink and so asked them to put it in a taxi, however they then said they were too busy to even make it. Almost no apology and by this point we were starving with no food in the house!! Never had such bad service from a takeaway. If I could give 0 stars I would - completely ruined our Saturday night.

So we’ve moved from Heeley so thought we best save the 20 min drive and go somewhere local. Never again!! Once you’ve discovered Wild Rice you will NEVER not go back. All the food is amazing, loads of vegetarian option and always so fast. Sat here thinking which didn’t I just drive the extra 15mins and realising how good Wild Rice actually is.

Been using wild rice for about 5 years now and every meal has been consistently good. Excellent vegetarian options. Always come before the time scale given for delivery.

So.. ive just ordered a Chinese, the guy walked in my house through the first door and knocked on the second.. im mortified 😳😮, he was stood there all in black, scared me half to death! .. there's even a doorbell the cheeky get he didnt bother to look for !! The one time the door wasnt locked !

I genuinely don't understand how this place manages to produce such fantastic food, so cheaply and so fast. You will not be disappointed.

The food here is so good! They have loads of vegetarian and vegan options - so far I’ve tried the vegetarian platter, sweet and sour mock chicken, mock duck pancakes, noodles and curry chips, and plan to try more when I order from them again! Allergens are clearly listed on the menu, and you can also let them know when you order if you have any allergies or requirements. Decently priced too, delivery is only £1 within three miles. Only downside is they’re cash only and not on any delivery sites so you have to ring, but that’s not much of an issue for me personally! My order arrived within about 40 minutes on a Friday night.

Wild Rice is THE best Chinese takeaway EVER! My boyfriend and I always get the vegetarian set menu with the vegetarian platter and it's insane! They do an excellent vegetarian substitute for crispy duck and really good spring rolls! Amazing value for money always - last us over two nights (maybe one if we are feeling ambitious and starving).

Their takeaway boxes are plastic unlike other Chinese takeaways that's usually packed in paper boxes. Good variety on vegetarian options and they also serve Thai. Overall taste is good and value for money.

I am a convert. First time eating from here. Lovely food. All really fresh. I collected it myself. Delay was only 5 mins more than stated. Crispy duck is lush. Mains were meat heavy. Crispy wontons clearly made in house and not bought in frozen. Loads of food for the cost (we spent about £28, half of which was on duck). Happily recommend this place to one and all.

Always order from here when we’ve a big group and the food has always been great.. can’t recommend the salt & pepper fish 😋

Heard good things, quoted 90 mins delivery time. Chased after 115 mins, offered 20% off with further 20 min wait. Chased again after further 50 mins told driver made mistake. Gave up. Waited 3 hours for a take away that didn't arrive. Don't bother.

wonderful food and wonderful service, lots of vegetarian and vegan options! always so easy to order over the phone too - as long as we make a list of what we want before we call the whole order takes ~60 seconds for us! delivery is always a reasonable time, around 45 mins even for large orders. they only take cash for delivery which is fine just be prepared! by dar the best chinese takeout place in Sheffield

Ordered for the first time the other day and don't think I'll be ordering Chinese from anywhere else. Placed an order and it arrived in half an hour with free prawn crackers and spring rolls. The food was hot as if it had just come out the oven and taster great. They have a large menu with a big section for vegetarians. Their mock duck was the highlight of the meal. The rest of the food was just as good and filling without feeling too heavy. I would recommend this place to anyone.

My favorite take away. A lot of vegan options. Salt and chili pepper tofu is delicious.

Went there on 23-Feb. The lady on the counter was very rude and impatient. Din't have the time to explain anything and it was not even busy. Completely dissapointing food. Ordered egg prawn fried rice and the rice were like stones. Ordered chicken noodles with scehuan sauce and it tasted like noodles with sugar syrup. Completely dissapointed absolutely no point comparing if you have eaten Chinese food from India.

Good value for money. A couple of times when iv'e ordered spare ribs they have been bad. Customer service is normally really good but last time i ordered she was rude, must be new staff. Normally really good food had some really bad Chinese food in Sheffield never go to yummy house.

4 days food poisoning and the sweet & sour dish was absolutely gross. What is someone's child died of food poisoning? Nah you wouldn't bothered would you as long as you saved a few pennies by serving old rotten food. I want it known all over that wild rice is disgusting.

This shop is the best by far!!!!! I'm not vegetarian but I can't stop ordering the mushroom and egg fried rice because it's so tasty along with many other dishes. A guaranteed friendly service, I'm always told it will take 10minutes however it's usually 5. Keep up the great work guys!!!!!

Nicest Chinese takeaway we have found in Sheffield. Our tester dish is always crispy chilli beef and their one is good. Love the free spring rolls!
