Wild Lakes Tipis in Pembrokeshire

Beautiful remote location, cosy surroundings, and the food was delicious! Take layers and it did get a little cold, but the overall experience was wonderful.

We had a great final holiday night meal, the house burger, Halloumi flat bread and a kids burger. Mac Cheese with chorizo and spicy fries on the side. Restaurant quality food at pub prices! The staff were fantastic, atmosphere was great, nice venue and decent quality drinks to boot.

Sadly, food was not as good as it's been in previous years - there was less tex-mex choice available and the portions of fish in the meals (tacos and monkfish/squid pizza) were very small for the price

Something different.. Great food, very good personal service, and all in a tipi. Rustic, bit rough and ready in places but with charm and care. Family owned and run. Real enterprise.snd effort. A great thing created out of nothing. Love the concept and delivery.

We stayed at a local holiday park and wanted somewhere a little different and off park for food. We went as a bit of a punt (Tipi dining in Wales!?) and we're absolutely blown away with the quality of the food. First time round we had pizza and burgers. While "simple" in terms of toppings/flavours they were executed supurbly, delivering amazing flavour and definately more bang for the buck that anywhere else we had been. Food was so good we needed to make a return trip, however one of our party struggled with the menu options. The hosts were more than happy to make a change to help out and as such were again, really impressed by the quality of food, service and atmosphere. If you are in the area, do yourselves a favour and enjoy some food here. The informal, chilled environment, great food and friendly service makes it a place not to be missed.

Stand alone as a restaurant this place was fantastic. Food was superb with a good menu and rapid service. Great selection of draught beer as well

Certainly an interesting experience to eat within a tipi. When we arrived it had obviously been busy throughout the day as all but one of the specials were no longer available, only two pizzas remained and several of the standard dishes were no longer available. The staff were friendly and the food that was available arrived promptly. As a venue it was certainly a novelty, although was certainly cold as there was little shelter from the elements. Worth visiting for light snacks etc.

Loved this place, went for dinner on my Birthday and can’t recommend enough. Was lovely to watch the people on the lake whilst we had some pre dinner drinks. The food was insanely good, we ordered the cali burritos and the nacho plate to share. Everything tasted fresh and was beautifully cooked and presented, staff were lovely and welcoming too. Highly recommend 😊

This is a great place with tasty fast food (quite spicy) and nice vibe. There was a live music when we went and the singer had great voice. Will be back!

Beautifully spiced food that's absolutely delicious! We've been twice so far and the flavours are excellent, so we'll be back again ...and again, no doubt! This time we enjoyed watching people try out wakeboarding while we had our lunch! 😂

What an amazing place. Thoroughly enjoyed bouldering and food in the Tipi. Next time I will spend the day here rather than go to Oakwood Theme Park next door. Well done for a unique and enjoyable experience.

Great place visited there in August 2022 and went on the aqua park Gotta say it was a bit cold but very enjoyable and I would highly recommend it for families

Good overall... We visited the bouldering centre unfortunately it's to expensive for us to be making a return visit.

An excellent restaurant to visit. The ambience was tremendous, with a good ara of food choices, and all cooked well. The waitresses were really friendly and so helpful and friendly. A must to try.

Love it! I go there as much as I can. You do have to to avoid disappointment. But the food service and staff are spot-on every time!

Stunning place, fab lake. We went on the inflatables and it was very fun.

We had a great time on the inflatables and it wasn't cold. The girls loved the hot chocolate afterwards :+)

Really REALLY enjoyed wild lakes. Was given a couple of wakeboarding sessions for my birthday and wasn't sure what to expect. Really well organised facility, great food in the tipi and met the sibling owners who were lovely. Fanatic achievement opening that place and wish them the best of luck.

Sport side great , but lack food , big time , total lack of organisation . Apart from that good

Stunning family run place, highly reccomend anyone to go... Even if you don't take part in the activities it's a lovely spot for lunch or a cup of tea

Dinner in a tent, served in cardboard boxes and people playing in the water. Very tasty food served by knowledgeable and helpful staff and a first class ambience.

Really unusual and lovely place! Staff were welcoming to us and our 2 dogs, and even though there were no tables available, the chef allowed us to sit elsewhere and eat! Very accommodating. Was great to watch the water-sport too! The teepee has a great atmosphere and a good menu! Best Nachos ever!!

Great meal , beautifully presented

We thought it would be cold but actually it was warm inside, even in November. Kids liked to be able to play with the toys and small tipi inside. Service was great but a little slow. Food was average.

When you want to find something unique, you sometimes just find it by frantically searching on Google. This cafe is situated out in the middle of nowhere, which we thought you had to enter via a water park but it's not the case. You can go to the cafe without entering a water park nor doing the water sports. Set in a tipi, the waitress showed us the way to a table. I don't say this often but the tipi had a very cosy ambience with a relaxing feel and smell even. The service was spot on and the menu was phenomenal. We tried 6 different foods and all were made with fresh ingredients. We were impressed with everything we ordered in particularly the daikon salad! This was an absolute find! Kudos to the chefs, staff and the cool space.

Great food & drinks. Sat in their Tipi. It was a lively change from the usual restaurant type surroundings. It would be nice to have a view of the lake from there but guess they open the sides up in summer.

We booked last minute and had a lovely meal. We tried the pizza, nachos, tostada and the braised beef wrap and all of it was super tasty. If we lived locally we would be regulars. Service was really friendly and watching the activities on the lake was nice. They allow dogs, take card and have good vegetarian options. It can get cold as you are literally in a half open tipi. They have blankets but best to bring a jumper with you just in case.

Always a great day out rain or shine, staff are friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend going.

Kids really enjoyed the Aqua Park. Liked idea of bar stools/table facing the lake, so able to watch the water sports while enjoying a coffee. AMAZING food in the teepee! So tasty. Well worth booking a table after your activity.

Such an amazing set up - love the rustic boho theme - we wish we lived nearby so that we can hang out at Wild Lakes all the time! The cafe restaurant serves really lovely and fresh food & coffee equivalent to a top restaurant standard. The activities offered lend to a vibrant atmosphere. Our son absolutely loved his wakeboard taster session and was lucky to have had Luca who was the most passionate instructor! Can't say enough good things about Wild Lakes, an absolute must-try lest you miss out on the best things in life!

Very relaxed atmosphere, wonderful place for children as there are blocks and teepees to play with whilst we waited for food. Great entertainment watching the water sports. Blankets are provided as the eavning cools. I had goats cheese pizza which was perfect.

Lovely food in the teepee felt very safe

Great customer service, good fun and lovely food. The staff are friendly, helpful and attentive, the activities are good value and eating the freshly cooked food in the tipi was also a lovely experience. Would definitely recommend.

Fantastic food (cooked fresh to order), great atmosphere - could stay here all day doing activities, drinking coffee and eating nachos! Highly recommended.

LOVED IT! We visited here on a dull, chilly evening in May and were greeted with a warm welcome and felt cosy under the tipi canvas. They had plenty of blankets too if needed. The food was amazing, great atmosphere & the Wild Lakes crew service was friendly & attentive without being OTT. Watching the wake boarding was a real bonus too. We'll most definitely be back for food & will highly recommend to others.
