We spent few days in the village and we discovered this amazing place. I have never seen such a rustic and authentic place. Back in the good old days. No music, no draft beer, forget wifi or credit card payment. It's the 60s here. Its adorable owner has been running the place for over 50 years. We went there every single evening with always the same pleasure. A few bottled beers and ciders on the shelf. A few soft drinks. Bags of crisps. Who needs more? And always that "thank you" after carefully pouring each glass. I will remember this place forever...and the kids too!

A very rustic village pub trapped in a nostalgic time warp.open fire. Pool table. Taxidermy on the walls. No food and limited selection of drinks but well worth a visit for an authentic rural pub experience.beautiful location.

If you want a pub with character, this one has character you can scrape off the walls. The landlord has been there for 47 years and so has some of the beer. It was very dated but very friendly and worth the experience. If you want to know what your grandad drank, drink here! (No real ale, just keged Worthingtons, no fridges either - still worth it)

We visited Penally Abbey for the first time in November 2022, where we got engaged a short walk away on the beach, and then again in September 2024, for a short break straight after our wedding. In 2022, we stayed in room 6, and this time we stayed in room 5. Both rooms are absolutely stunning with amazing views of the sea. Penally Abbey is so beautiful, and the team are helpful and friendly. We love the relaxed atmosphere and beautiful setting. We had dinner at Rhosyn, which was great, and enjoyed cocktails from the bar. It was lovely to be welcomed with coffee and cake on arrival. The location is absolutely beautiful. As well as a walk along the beach, I'd recommend checking out local walks in the area, we particularly enjoyed Barafundle Bay and the Bosherston Lily Ponds. On both visits, we had issues when we planned to go out for dinner in Tenby with the trains being unreliable due to the single track and a lack of availability of taxis between the hotel and Tenby at "peak" times. Obviously a very pleasant walk along the beach at low tide, but high tide/night time it's less easy! So if venturing into Tenby for a few drinks, I'd recommend pre-booking taxis and perhaps not relying too much on the public transport!

The perfect anniversary escape! My wife and I spent a very special few days at the Grove of Narberth where we were treated like royalty from start to finish. The staff went above and beyond with thoughtful touches that made our celebration memorable. This is the perfect country house hotel. Luxury, warm hospitality, great food, and gorgeous grounds. Settling in to our cottage on our first night with a fire going after a delicious meal was absolute heaven. A truly magical spot in Wales—we couldn't have chosen better.

Best Christmas meal we ever had. Real, meat cooked to perfection no catering packs in sight. Caters to Gluten Free as long as you advise when booking. Just the best. Will definitely be coming to the various themed nights.
