Recently moved to the area and often walk the dogs at Spring Wood. Went today in this glorious weather and after the walk had lunch courtesy of the fantastic "What the fork" food van. After battling over the choices on the menu we both settled for the Donner Wrap...... A strange choice you may assume give. We weren't full of 8 pints of wobbly juice before hand but please ....trust me. The Donner Wrap was absolutely fantastic! Easily the best "takeaway/ streetfood" I have had in a looooong time. REAL Turkish beef and chicken dinner crammed & served in a burrito style toasted wrap with a beautifully refreshing diced salsa with tomato, pomegranate, onion, which acted as flavour enhancement rather than the usual "filler" from most places. The service was fantastic and had great conversation with friendly, normal people.....which makes a change from the normal entitled business people that usually undertake these sorts of businesses. Clearly passionate about what they do and care about given a customer good food. There is so much potential for this place ...I can imagine lights up in summer evenings and holding BBQ styles evenings ...or taster evenings, could be incredible. Anyway enough of my rambling, needless to say I was impressed and will be back at least weekly. All the best Guys you have a hit. PS Maverick and Rooster say the sausages are spectacular.

Belly-busting butties with banter served by top chaps. Where to start? If you want your breakfast butties with a healthy side of banter, joviality and friendliness, What The Fork will fill your belly, treat your tastebuds and warm your soul. Forget about your troubles and just enjoy the moment. Go for a walk in the lovely woods, bring the doggos or whatev, just make an excuse and time to get your fill of their food. Coffee is fantastic - very premium in fact - and it sets the tone for the tucker, all of which is done with some unique twists, quality ingredients and reasonably priced. No cheap as chips chaff here. Considering the premium ingredients - be it the Turka doner meat, or the home-made beef patties in the burgers, or their own sauces, relishes etc. - you may be pleasantly surprised that the price isn’t overtly expensive either. On the morning I visited, I had the Wall St Burger and the Doner Wrap (in a roll, for a change). The Doner had a lovely peppery taste to it, with plenty meat in and just the right mix of sauce. Even the doggos wagged their approval at it. The Wall St Burger was cooked to perfection, with gooey cheese that was miraculously just the right consistency and texture for tasting without turning into a fondue flop. However, it’s not just the food you visit here. It’s the friendliness; it’s like chatting in the local without the drinks (sadly). Still, the chinwagging makes up for it. What I also like is it’s a bit of a ‘test kitchen’ as Lee and Morgs, the father and son double act behind the counter, are always keen to tweak their offerings for continuous improvement. For instance, I got lucky when I visited as they were trying out a new way of ‘wrapping’ the Doner Wrap so I had to sample it; and it was amazingly good. No boring cylinders of tortilla here; more like a doner and cheese and sauce layered parcel of perfection. Do yourself a favour and 'Drive/Ride on, tuck in and fill out.'

Wow, wow, wow, what I great find Tom's table was. Nestled in a beautiful courtyard, we were given a warm welcome by the staff setting the tone for the evening. The charming decor made us feel at home, it is cosy amd comfortable. The staff were very attentive, with drinks being served very quickly. The food however stole the show, beautiful in flavour and presentation, every part beautifully placed. The flavours were wonderfully balanced, there were no parts that did not add to the dishes.
