West Virginia Fried Chicken in Rochdale

Shocking did a phone order sent me a raw chicken burger. I called them and they said something is wrong with me. Not one to hate on a local business I have been coming here for a long time and they just sent me the absolute worst food. Avoid

Disgusting phone skills, called to place order for party, lost over £100 because this gentleman can't speak to customers properly, given postcode then asked again then when given 3rd time because didn't listern the first 2x told me to calm down and don't shout when I was completely calm, his phone skills are quite frankly rubbish and shouldn't be answering calls if can't understand customers. I would never normally do a review but the way he was is a joke then put phone down. Just avoid guys I ended up going chunky chicken.

This place goes through phases, one minute there the best in town, next the quality runs away with the chicken! The consistency just isn't there sadly. Staff seem friendly and helpful.

I had the absolute pleasure of trying the West Virginia Combo Burger and fried chicken at West Virginia Chicken in Rochdale, and it was nothing short of incredible! Don’t bother ordering from here, made an order on Uber eats won’t refund me for the rank food I was given spiciest food on the planet and ordered not spicy. Cross contaminated my burger with someone else’s order told me they can’t refund me and said take up with Uber. Can see where they’ve taken a spiced burger off my burger and swapped it with a normal then just tried to paint the spice with mayo.. Normally alright when you order at night must be reusing soiled burger buns or something. Can’t get refund with Uber so they have my money for incompetence and sloppy appalling food preparation and no refund thanks again it was grim x

The guy was nice when taking my order, I ordered 8 piece chicken deal with 4 portion chips and bottle coke for 14.99. Sat down with the family but was very disappointed 😞 Had 4 normal chicken and 4 spicy. The chicken was separated what was clever. But the 4 normal chicken was piping hot but lacked flavour was verrrrrrrry bland. The 4 spicy was all spice no flavour and unfortunately very sloppy. Unfortunately if your selling fried chicken you got to get it right this wasn't anything close..... Chip were also bland no salt never got asked about seasoning....

Ordered from here a few times recently and each time it's been really good! Hot and tasty food every time. This is my new go to for chicken 🍗.

I ordered from here because orlandoes and Havana where not open therefore thought there can't be any harm in ordering from here, boy was I wrong, the burger bun was stale, I literally was knocking on the burger bun and it sounded like a brick, I even called the takeout and knocked on the bun whilst on the phone, he laughed like its not the first time. I won't be ordering or recommending that's for sure.

Very rude and unprofessional staff. Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced in Rochdale. If I could give any lower than 1 star I would because they don’t deserve even this 1 star rating!!

Tried to order for a delivery. Food never arrived and was told driver had wrong address what would be a extra payment poor service all round

went in this place after I had finished work orderd some chicken strips and a chicken burger..Once I received my order tasted the chicken strips which was cold so I checked my burger which was cold to i told the worker my food is cold he replied shall I warm it up for you though these guys takin the piss you have only just open why is the food cold. what they had done was give me food left over from night before. this place recently has gone down hill

They clearly don't clean the tables, the place was empty, staff were just chatting when every table was full of crumbs and rubbish. I ordered 4 chicken strips for 4.50, they tasted ok but were tiny, should have been 50p each. I recommend going next door, 10 times better! Still a bit overpriced though.

The food was delicious. Very hot and fresh. The tables were a bit dirty from previous customers, so a bit of cleaning between customers is needed.

I don’t know who the owner is, and will he get a notification from This review or not but, if he gets so then I will strongly suggest to change the manager. Words will not be enough to describe his attitude and behavior. And the food quality is getting worse day by day I have ordered more then 10 time from this place and each time there was a mistake with packaging of my order , and if you call them to solve the issue simply the manger will say( I can do nothing for you ) , as if we are stupid and we don’t know where and how should we spend our money .

Very dirty shop and there was hair’s on my food very unhygienic

When I went there the shop was a huge mess I told them to clean one table at least so I could eat but the manager was being so rude he told me that I should clean it instead and that I’m being rude he started arguing with me about it so I let that slide and clean the area I was eating in but then when I got my food there were these little hairs on the chicken and the chicken it stank so badly I think they shave their beard there or smth literally just don’t go plz it’s so bad, the customer service is way worse as well so rude and unhygienic

£90 order and never sent some off the stuff we ordered. when rang them they refused and didn't admit the 🔔 on the phone needs to sort his attitude .food was hard and cold

stay away from this place. complete jokers came in on a boat. sold me stale chicken which was hard, cold and dry. it had been out for over 6 hours. and the chips were stale and like cardboard. didnt eat it. not even my cat would eat this. its theft and robbery. intentionally giving stale food. horrible people and place. i rung them they cant even speak english properly to have a decent conversation. worst place in rochdale.

Great tasting food. Very clean inside including the food preparation area. Best of all are the prices - very reasonable!! I'd highly recommend eating from here.

Avoid ordered over the phone and wrong items came. The staff on the phone extremely rude and lacks customer service. Extremely poor service overtaking on the phone when i tryed to explain what’s missing. Advice “Change your staff on the phone to someone who speak English and doesn’t argue”

Great tasting spicy chicken burger piri piri style dipped and grilled with jalapeños and onions. What an awesome burger so succulent and flavoursome it's a 9 out if 10 to be a 10 it needs the bun to be toasted before assembly as the bun crumbles and fall apart due to the vast amount of chicken and Toppings. Toasting the bun will help it stay together and hold up to the awesome filling. 👌

Best fried chicken place in Rochdale. Great value for money! Everything closed late at night and you’re hungry?Don’t worry they’re open until 5am on Friday and Saturday!

This is my final stop when I’m finished with the night out, food has never been mouldy or bland it’s been perfect, usually food places that are open till 5 am are not good but this place is spot on!

Peri burger is one of the best I've ever had.

The chicken wings are the best in town (my personal opinion) i recommend this place, maybe is not in the best condition always but i love this place. You have to try the wings or the double chicken burger with mayonnaise.

Food from here is usually good when it's the normal 2 servers it's fine but some of the staff have a habit of laughing at you because of what you order and then speaking in a different language to there staff members right after you order as your waiting to pay it's disrespectful. Edit 9th of may Went in today after about 7 weeks was spoken to properly although I asked for a double peri burger and said no salt on the chips as the order was for someone else. As I was being handed the meal I asked the person serving me if it was a double they said it was. When I came back to my workplace it was a single burger and had salt on the chips the order was for somebody else so not really what they wanted, it’s a shame I always got what I ordered when the other staff used to be here. The food from here has always been good it is more the service which is hit and miss.

The chicken burgers are similar to what you get in Georgia and Virginia’s in Oldham. They are premium quality and juicy. The spicy sauce hits the spot. I seriously don’t understand why these guys get grief about the food (“soggy fries”) lol. It’s a fast food establishment not a Michelin star restaurant, mistakes happen and people need to get a life. This is one of the best chicken shops in Rochdale for sure and now also the cheapest for a chicken burger compared to rivals Toronto and Arizona so you’re better off coming here for both taste and prices.

I ordered a chicken burger meal and a peri peri. The chips were bland and there was too much sauce on the peri peri and it was sloppy.The chicken burger was bland and had to much mayo and no seasoning. I would never recommend the takeaway.

Banging food. Spicy chicken burger with cheese is 10/10. Although the consistency can be a bit off sometimes.

Came at lunchtime. Got the chicken fillet burger and the peri grilled burger. Chicken burger tastes very similar to Georgias in Oldham (soft juicy fillet and crunchy batter) and the spicy sauce is amazing too. It was also hot and fresh, I give it a 10/10. The peri grilled burger was a strange surprise. It was a fried chicken fillet coated in peri sauce and then grilled. This will disappoint anyone who orders thinking it's a healthy option. But for me it was a cool concept and give it 8/10.

Ordered 3 times food was is very cold

I use this chicken shop regularly and a few week ago I ordered the grilled peri burger when I got my order it was clearly fried not grilled so I let it slide and tonight I thought I would try again and I got the same a fried grilled burger so why advertise it as a grilled burger when you clearly fry it and then but it in a grill so it looks grilled

Asked for double chicken sandwich meal with bo mayonnaise. Get home and burger cakes in mayonnaise and fries cold. Went back to complain only to be met by mocking and disdain. No apology or we will make the meal again. Got my money back and went to Arizonas. Arizonas miles better. Avoid sweat SHITinia at all costs.

These alot are so rude and always blame the customers when they make mistakes. Total Joke! I done a big order of 6 meals took over 2 hours to come and left a drink out of our meal. I called up and they said its really busy we will give it next time u order or you will need to wait 2 hours?. (Why do u only have 1 delivery driver and if its busy deal with it,, not my fault your not capable of putting correct amount drinks in the bag or handle it when its busy! ur running the business not me.) Anyways I said ill wait 2 hours and why would I want another drink next time I order a meal so dumb, he wasn't happy and guess what they didn't even come at all! Keep away from this place unless your happy with the grief you get from these guys... I wouldn't have wrote this review coz its petty but its annoyed me that My Nephew had orderered through UberEats and specified clearly no mayo on burger as he has a food allergy and the burger came with mayo and I cant believe what they wrote - basically threatening if he orders again someone from there will slap him! Look you lot can order your food from here and enjoy but you just need to know they shouldn't be treating people or customers like this. Especially for my nephew that has a food allergy they should know better. Check the screen shot of the reponse of the review thats been left by my nephew after they were given a 1 star. I think I will take legal action as its serious when it come to food allergy! Let's see if you can respond in a proper manner as it looks like you go towards violence in reponse to negative feedback!

Ordered here for the first time today. Peri burger was amazing, cooked to perfection and well presented, fries were crispy and nuggets went down a treat with my son. Really good food recommended 👌🏽

The burger had little sauce and old iceberg lettuce, really bland but was a massive burger, and the fries were old double fried, tasted like cardboard and looked terrible, really gone downhill was much better when they opened, must have changed recipes. Prefer Toronto to this one.

I'm genuinely sad, I used to come here near enough every day when I worked next to here. Id still even order home. I've not used them in a long time due to a 2 hour 30 min late delivery with cold food that happened awhile ago. Just tried again peri peri burgers are the best here and of course 10 hot wings. Pretty disappointed the hot wings had far too much salt in them, not appealing at all the peri burger was a steady 3 out of 10. What happened here used to be the best chicken spot ???? More than welcome to come try the food they've created its tragic. Unfortunately waste of £17, I think that's officially the last time unless the ultimately redeem themselves. 2 star as delivery was quick.

Last time. Hundred percent fresh. I went with my sister and she can't scoff food down as quickly as I can especially when it's hot like that day. In fact I dropped KY sister off home and the food was still steaming. Wraps and spicy chicken sandwiches are the best or among the best in Rochdale. A close second to Florida's in Oldham and equally good compared to Virginia's in Oldham.

Ordered twice. First time great. Second time, the peri wings tasted completely different. I'll risk it one more time soon. Review may change.
