Good food good beer staff lovely really enjoyed my Wednesday night

Came in for a Sunday lunch, it was quite busy when we arrived. Food was very tasty and a bartender was very helpful, recommended a very nice rhubarb gin!! We will be back

Was told there would be a delay for food orders, but we waited over an hour. We were a party of 13 with a reservation to celebrate a Birthday. Food turned up in dribs and drabs and was lukewarm and very poor quality. Burger was cremated, tacos were dry with rank bits of salad, ciabatta sandwich was basically flavoured bread with hardly any filling, Katsu curry sauce was congealed! Need I say more.? If you have bookings, surely you should make sure you have enough members of staff to cope, especially with Christmas around the corner. A completely unpleasant experience. Have you heard of Service with a smile? Staff members seemed like they would rather be somewhere else. So did we!!

Absolutely awful service and would never go back here again. Staff not helpful at all and not friendly in anyway.. Had a table booked for 13 people for a family celebration meal and it took over an hour for food to arrive but came in 2 parts 20 mins apart.. was told this was because they had a small kitchen and could only cook so many at one time. Starters arrived with main meal and wrong starters., Would definitely not recommend this place,

We took our 93 year mum here for her Christmas meal with the family on the 5th of December. Mum can be difficult but they were great with her. The food was great. They were happy with us singing Christmas songs and wartime songs. we definitely were not quite but the staff were amazing. Thank you guys for making ours, and more importantly Mums, Christmas family meal so special.

Very disappointed with the service we received tonight. We ordered on the app and got our food quickly, but our drinks didn't arrive until after the food, at least 20 minutes after we ordered. The server was rude about it when delivering our food and I asked about our drinks, and then didn't say a word when she brought the drinks later.

Amazing atmosphere, service and food! My boyfriend and I were visiting from America and it was a great cozy pub experience. The chef and staff were so friendly and made us feel right at home.

Myself and friends enjoyed our meal here this afternoon but were disappointed with choice of deserts also on a cold day could not get a hot drink. Coffee machine has been out of order for months. Staff apologised but said one is on order but has not arrived yet. One person went without a drink as she was too cold for a cold drink. The bar was also very cold. Spoilt the afternoon.

Food was good, lilys and Izzy’s service was outstanding, will definitely be returning.

Visited bar and on Thursday which was steak night and cannot fault in any way. I ordered rare am it was cooked to perfection by Aaron and will certainly be returning.

Visited a coupled of months ago. Lovely food, friendly staff, clean and tidy. Girls behind the bar were very helpful when assisting needs for our visit with a wheelchair user. Great value for money, will definitely be returning 👍

Popped in to my local for a pint. Then I get gbp100 parking fine through the post. Was only there for 30 mins. In future I will visit another pub. Avoid this pub at all costs. They promised to deal with the PCN but no action. Shameful.

I went to this pub yesterday the service was amazing from ruby and lily the drinks was made quickly and the food was out within 15 minutes of us ordering absolutely loved it will be back again

Had a lovely lunch with friends on 9/10/24 and loved the new menu. Food was great as was the service. Ruby was so welcoming and friendly, a credit to your team.

We had dinner and the two people running the bar, Nikki and ismary, we're very helpful and pleasant. Food will never be legendary but it was nicely prepared and fairly enjoyable.

One of the worst pub's I have ever been too. Not very clean, dirty chairs, sticky tables. No atmosphere, very slow service. Had no sour cream for nachos, lasagne turned up warm, had to go back. It was tasteless and stodgy. Cheese and bacon burger was ordered with a egg, had to go back has no egg had been added. Waitress apologised, we got a complementary drink, because of the time we waited and there bring no sour cream. But the overall experience wasn't acceptable. We will definitely not be visiting there again, to say we were disappointed is an understatement.

Visited on the 1/9/24 and was very surprised at how welcoming the place was and the service was great especially by a young lady called Emily she always had a smile on her face and didn’t fail to impress us, will definitely be coming again 👍

Lovely friendly staff Nicky and Ruby such lovely Girls, so helpful and friendly, both work really hard to keep everyone happy. Nice and clean. Well the food is amazing such good value for money everything was beautiful. 5 plates for £21 real good food and brilliant price. This place don’t get enough credit for the food it really is the place to go. Definitely be back

Really nice friendly place, drinks are reasonably prices, staff so polite. It's changed so much since I was last there. The kids room have gone amd they've made it bigger, the kitchen has been move further back and the bar is bigger. I will defo be coming back again.

Came with my husband for some lunch. Service from Izzy and Dayne faultless. Very welcoming and friendly. Food was great from Peter. Would recommend 😀

Update. We went here on 18th Aug 2025. Staff are lovely and the food was OK. My Son is extremely fussy when it comes to eating out, but this has become his favourite place to eat. We also went here a few weeks ago and the food was lovely. Staff brilliant. Highly recommend this restaurant. 4 years ago Waited ages for food. The pizza was under cook and very doughy. Not as good as it used to be. Staff still very friendly

I went to this pub last week with some friends for a few drinks. I felt very welcome by all the staff in there, great atmosphere. Will definitely be returning very soon

Popped in this evening for a few drinks there was one bar man and a lady who I think was the manager. Service from the bar man was very good and he was very friendly. Seemed to be rushed of his feet but it didn't effect the service he provided. Karaoke was playing and it added to a happy friendly atmosphere. Would recommend. I will be back again .

We came in as group booking with pre-ordered food. Other people joined us and order when they got there. Their food came out and we was still waiting. When we asked about our food after about 40 minutes we were then informed we had to pay for it before it was served which had not previously been explained either at time of booking or when we arrived. The attitude of the staff was very poor and everything seemed like it was and effort to them. The food was really lovely and well presented which is the reason for the 2*. I would think twice before pre-booking again.

We had a lovely meal on Monday afternoon, the steaks were perfect also the chicken and the fish. The service was also very good indeed.

Food was 10/10 came in with my large family, staff went above and beyond can't thank them enough especially nikki and her manager who unfortunately I didn't get the name of but she was also a diamond can't thank them enough came in for my uncles year death date and was so so impressed.

Went there today 7/7/2024 did not receive what was ordered ahd staff were not very helpful I am very disappointed except better when you pay so much money

A bit disappointed about the lasagne.The lasange was still frozen in the middle Rest of the food was ok.We couldnt eat our meals together As we had 2 wait for the replacement lasagna to come out.When it did come out.My partner had to wait til it cooled down .It did spoil our meal out.

First off all as its the firat time walking in the place and thought ok looks decent enough walk3d to bar noticed there was ants in the sprirt section and easy problem to solve the 🪰 was bit much by any means of simple fixes and honestly I wanted to eat there was gonna order a massive order but went to mens toilet and the smell was so bad urine all on the floors the cleaner or who ever in charge of this needs to be pai3d more as it was disgusting and yea it's hard to be honest and I am a costumer I hope the next time which will be bring work coullug3s hope I can say simple things like Washingborough floor sticking a bit white vinger for the flys and fruits fly yea I have to say ya get them free if ya stand at bar it's really simple to fix those issues I'm not eating there if that what the bar and surrounding area look like then the food has to be somet

came here the other week for dinner, the pub wasnt very busy and the bar was very empty, there was no clean tables all filthy, we ordered our food through our phone which was fine the manager then came over and said our food would be 30-40 minutes. she was holding a spray bottle and cloth in her hand looked at our dirty table and still walked off. we were waiting for 30 minutes until we got our drinks. even tho the whole time we had been sat down there was no one at the bar. they then brought our drinks over and still didnt clean our table. our food came out two minutes later. as they were bringing the food they still didnt clean our table so i asked if the lady would clean it as it was filthy, she huffed and puffed about cleaning the table. as she was cleaning the table she flicked all the dirt and crumbs into my lap and there was no apology for that. the food was okay but it is only microwave anyone can do that. but overall this visit was atrocious, the attitude from all the staff and the lack of friendliness is disgusting they all need to be retrained in customer service. i will never be coming here again. such a shame could be a really nice pub if the staff wasnt so rude and arrogant

We visited here last week, the food was delicious, cheap and my daughter absolutely loved it. We was served by a lady named Lily and her customer service and manner was absolutely exceptional, she was polite, service with a smile and took pride in her work. I will definitely be visiting again

Visited today with my mum for lunch, it was lovely and quiet inside which we prefer. The food was lovely - typical pub grub - and the two ladies serving were lovely - we felt very welcomed and looked after. The only downside was the furniture. Some seats were very stained, torn and tatty looking. This wouldn’t stop me visiting again though but I would definitely recommend renewing them. Thank you for a lovely afternoon.

Sat for over an hour waiting for our food, scampi and chips so not the most difficult dish. Never came think chef went out to catch the fish. Asked several times but just got told it was coming, total waste of time and money, just giving heads up.

Visited here a few weeks ago ,first time for a year or so our food came very quickly and was nicely cooked and tasted lovely. The staff were very helpful and courteous I would recommend it and look forward to going back sometime soon .

I really enjoyed myself here. The staff, particularly Nikki and Izzy are brilliant. The food was good. They were changing the menu so some things were not on which can be excused. However the whole.meal.was.made excellent by the great staff. I will be going back.

Just popped here on a Sunday for a couple drinks with my Wife, the pub was OK with the prices about average for these days 🤔 I think for 5 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 's a new front gate would be in order 😉

Terrible food. Terrible service. Never have anything that we want, always out, including a roast (on a Sunday). Acted like we inconvenienced them, as customers in their restaurants. No sincerity for late food. Never will be returning. Wish I could rate 0

Very small portions of chips, lovely triple burger but took 15 minutes to get served because there was only two lovely barmaids.

Food is fine however pictures on menu show bigger portion. The main point for this review being, I spent £50 to sit here for 1hr and 20 minutes until I received my main meal. Starter arrived maybe 30mins after ordering, which is okay but not great. Food tasted nice, however as mentioned above portions are exaggerated on the menu. A lady offered us each a drink on the house as an apology, however I feel getting the starters refunded would have been a more appropriate apology. Avoid this place if you want to eat quickly. If you want to play pool and have a drink definitely visit.

We were served by both Nikki & Issy, they were very pleasant and welcoming. We were in quite early so there wasn’t many people to be served which meant our food arrived quickly. The quality of our meal was very good.

Absolutely terrible every time I have came here the same member of staff has such an attitude don’t know her name but black lady with glasses she is so so rude don’t know who she thinks she is, she can’t be bothered to serve so tries to put you off by being rude to you and talking over you. Why work in a pub if you don’t like serving? Get a job that you like and start treating people with a bit of respect and drop the attitude! The other staff seemed fine. This lady’s tactic is to tell you it’s a huge long wait for food but doesn’t say it nicely says it in an awful attitude and doesn’t let you get a word in, it must be just to try and make her job easier as we agreed to wait the first time we came and it came in 20 minutes. So it is clear she purposely just wants people to leave as that means less work for her to do!

Came in for a quick pitstop drink after a family event at a venue next door; given how popular this annual event usually is and how widely publicized it is, you'd have assumed there'd be enough staff (if not more) to support the busy day. But no - we only saw 2 people on the bar and 1 perhaps-management staff member (plus the 2 bar staff) delivering meals. On entry we were abruptly told that as we hadn't booked the only place to sit would be the sports bar side; fine with us as we didn't intend to eat anyway and fancied watching the football. My family found a small spare table and I stood at the bar to order our drinks (sports bar side, as directed) and was promptly ignored by the 2 bar staff for the next 10 minutes who only served people on the other side. When I moved to the other side and told a bar staff member I felt I'd been ignored, I got a rather defensive response. The other barperson chose to serve me and somewhat reluctantly I bought my round of drinks. We were glad to not be eating because all around us were people waiting for food; one table even left their food behind after giving up waiting for it. A small child on the table behind us was left waiting for almost 30mins for their ice-cream; when it arrived it was the most depressing ice-cream dessert I've ever seen - 2 round scoops of ice-cream in a small bowl with nothing else. Obviously it might be whats offered in the kids meal deal but to wait that length of time for it was ridiculous. Also none of the ladies toilet cubicles had any toilet paper whatsover at 4pm; the cleaning check sheet said loos were checked hourly but there's no way that amount of loo roll could have been used within the last hour. Clearly this pub was today incredibly understaffed for the volume of people but it has made us question ever returning.

Was refused food as they had not enough cutlery. Was told won't allowed to eat in garden as they said they were fully booked. Not worth the hassle of going there.
