I went there the food was good and well presented oh wow I would go back again

I AM DISUSTED IN THE SEVICE I REVIVED AND THE MEAL WASNT UP TO STANDEDERS THAT I HAVE REVIVED BEFOR MY ORDER TODAY THEN WAITED A HOUR A 15 MINS FOR MY ORDER THAT WAS A THREE HOUR MIL JOURNEY... I WOULDNT ORDER THERE AGAIN THNAK WASTE OF MONEY !!!!

Ordered curried chicken was like a box of rice lol really no chicken in it at all tip off place avoid

Hey guys thought I’d have to come here because credit where credits due , I’ve been coming to this place for around 3 years now and only ever get a soup to take out on a quick on just ordered mutton curry fried dumpling and hake peppers and onions and I tell you what the food is absolutely beautiful, I’m always searching for good soul food but lot of places hit and miss this. Mutton is on par if not better than my favourite jamacain shop so thankyou guys you food is beautiful ✌️

Food was dryyyyyy and like cardboard. Even tho i asked for gravy it was just a thick slob in the corner of the dish. Food must have been sitting there for days then microwaved for 5minutes because it was piping hottt but no flavour whats so ever. Would never ever go back to this place. Keishas across the road is waayy better and better customer service too.

Ordered food, est delivery time1.5hrs on just eat it said the food had been delivered but nothing turned up. Simply disappointing waited so long and they literally didn't even do the order absolute joke 🤣

I waited two and a half hours for my meal to be delivered. The woman didn’t care when I called and looking at the reviews this is the norm. When the delivery man finally came he said they’d been really busy! Not my problem!! I finally ate my dinners at 9:45pm. I ordered at 6:50pm. No one cared and it’ll be the last time in order from here.

I ordered curry goat its was horrible, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, 0/10

Wayann’s do the best festivals and curried goat around, with huge portions available. Prep time can sometimes take a while, but Wayann’s food is worth the wait!

Ordered 2 large mutton rice and peas food was piping hot came in the time they said ordered a couple times now been spot on.

Beautiful place food is lovely.

The food doesn’t seem the same anymore .I don’t know whether there’s a different chef there too now and that is maybe why my food tastes different every time but the curry mutton which is usually my go to , has been very dry with the meat and barely any sauce on there. The coleslaw also used to be the best I’ve ever tried but it’s not anymore it’s got a different and tangy taste now. The mutton sauce I used to order in the pot separately was thicker and had a nicer taste but now it’s too thin. Before id say to never go anywhere else because this was my favourite but I don’t know now…

APPALLING, AWFUL FOOD AND COLD OR ROCK HARD AS FOR SERVICE? IT WAS NON EXISTENT. PLACE SHOULD SHUT DOWN LAZY PEOPLE

Ordered at 5.20pm it’s now 7.45pm still no food has arrived I have phoned shop twice to be told that it has left the shop.. delivery service is terrible won’t be ordering a delivery from here again 🙄

Fancied a Jamaican curry but they don’t even answer the phone what’s going on 50 times man. Are you even open LOL

Fuming, I ordered my food at 6:00. It’s 9:52 and still nothing, been trying to call for hours and the phone line is busy or just rings out. Absolute JOKE

What a waste of time been calling them for over an hour and NO answer it’s a bloody joke of a service have to go somewhere else then seen as everyone is asleep!!! May aswell disconnect your phone as it’s useless!!

Wayanns is my first choice when it comes to Caribbean food in Birmingham. The food always comes freshly cooked with loads of gravy and really enjoyable!

So the food here is good. But you could order your food go on holiday for a week come back redecorate your house then go there and it still wouldn't be ready

I do actually enjoy your food but please stop nuking it in the microwave in the polystyrene container as my food tastes of the container 👍

If only one could give a -10. Very bad customer service from an awfully rude young lady with an ugly pair of long eyelashes behind the counter. Train your staffs to have a little manners or at the very least have knowledge of what you sell to customers... people have food allergies and if your staff is unhelpful or not communicative at all as this lady was you could literally poison someone. Every info we asked she rolled her eyes and said she doesn't know with a stinking attitude while chewing on a gum. This lady made the environment very hostile for no reason, couldnt have gotten out of this restaurant any faster. Lesson to take from this: Never support a business who doesn't need your money.

Tried to order but was left on the phone while listening to everyone have a conversation for about ten minutes 🙃 and give up I won't bother again

Ordered the Jerk Chicken, rice and peas with steamed veg. The jerk sauce was ok, not the best though and not really enough of it. Very thick and sour like Branston's pickle. The chicken was badly over cooked, two drum sticks and a tight. It wasn't good. Took almost two hours to arrive. Won't be ordering from there again.

£18.00 for 2 stir frys that were not fit for human consumption, Caribbean restaurants need to do better.

Oxtail and curry goat are good. The steam veg is done well. Stay away from the jerk chicken, it’s really poor considering how good the other dishes are. Portion sizes could be better ( more meat less rice) But the place is good . Also, some of the best rum cake I’ve tasted

Always a bit weary about ordering food from a place I've never tried before. My mother in law told to try here and I'm so glad I did. Ordered a medium and large mutton curry, fried chicken, mutton soup and some dumplings. The curry and the soup had so much flavour, and the perfect amount of spice, it just crept up on you leaving you with a nice tingle on your lips. Plenty of meat in both dishes and it was so tender, amazing. I wish I had ordered a pot of the mutton gravey, I like a lot of gravey and just felt the the rice to curry ratio was a bit off but that's my personal preference. Can't fault our meal, will definitely be back.

Will not be returning. Terribly run business.. zero customer service.. too much waiting and too much robbery. Dreadful food 🤢 concerned for the food safety of this place! Stairways and restaurant stink of grease and you leave smelling like the place super off putting need a good deep clean

THIS IS SOME OF THE BEST CARRIBEAN FOOD I HAVE EVER HAD. I am not being dramatic when I say that this food was an experience and the portions were perfect I had oxtail curry chicken and chicken soup from here and every single dish was incredible I never write reviews but for this place I actually had to do that anyone who reads doesn’t miss the Oppertunity to try it.

Disappointed tonight as had to wait over 2 hours for my food. Did begin writing a review stating that my food had not turned up just as the door knocked. Still not happy with the waiting time and lack of contact, however I will comment and say the delivery driver was very polite and apologetic

Ordered it to be delivered to my dad's house to cheer him up and he was so so so happy with the food.. mutton rice and peas, salad, fried dumpling, jerk wings and chocolate cake he said it was delicious and very tasty quality meat. The lady over the phone was so lovely to talk to aswell. I'm going to be ordering for myself very very soon.

Ordered from just eat. Food was ordered at 7.45pm. Food was meant to be delivered at 9.05pm at latest. Called restaurant at 9.30pm and was told delivery driver was on the way but couldn't tell me the reason for delay. Called again at 9.45pm as Food still hadn't arrived. Again they couldn't say what had happened but told me I could get compensation from just eat as the food was so late. Food arrived at 10pm. Tried to get compensation from just eat as advised by this restaurant but Wayanns LIED and told just eat that they had included extra items in my order to compensate which they didn't. So this morning I contacted just eat and received a full refund. One thing the Food being late but feeling you had to LIE??

Having ordered food at 8pm as needed for night shift was given a delivery time of 9 to 9.05 we waited and waited until a phone call was made to shop to be told the driver is out and will be there soon well that soon never came i received the semi warm food at 9.50 so the food wasn't needed again because i had to leave for work because the lenght of time it takes to get delivered is unacceptable plus they advertise free delivery over 10 pounds liars as you complete your order you end up with a 2 pounds delivery charge and 50 pence service charge totally not acceptable for a near 2hr wait never again thanks then a driver turns up and says to the wife don't say nothing I'm only the driver she said nothing took the food and shut the door to bad service

Great food, slow service lets the place down.

We went here for the first time, the curry goat was mild/hot very tasty and my fav Oxtail was the same and the meat just fell off the bone! The portions were good, so definatly worth a visit. Location can be a bit tricky to park, as its on the main road, don't be put off by satnav directions as it may take you to the carpark, but then you have to walk to the main road, (parking signs on wall) then walk to the restaurant 2mins and its located upstairs. You will not be disappointed!

Disappointed. The actual meal took ages to be delivered and when it arrived..well...I've had a lot of Jamaican influences growing up with Jamaican friends and eating at theirs plus a few interracial marriages in my family so I know Jamaican food. I ordered Jerk Chicken but what I got was NOT what I'd call Jerk, none of the amazing smokey flavours you usually get what I had was drab flame grilled with a tart, tangy sauce. Sadly even the dumplings were dry and not moist. Still hungry 😕

Absolutely beautiful I've been cooking my on slow cooker Jamaican food for a while now. I can tell from my attempts and experiences this is quality stuff. By a mile the best in South West Brum. The best I've had is newcross hospital Wolverhampton

Service was slow for one. The fried chicken taste like it was fried in dirty oil and had no flavour what’s so ever and was dried out. Wouldn’t recommend waste of money!

Just had the curried chicken, rice and peas with steamed veg..... FIRE. Delicious food, came early and it was piping hot I'd highly recommend.

Tried to make a telephone order.. the lady that answered the phone was rude and unhelpful!! Very unprofessional, I think staff that deals with public should be trained as she clearly has no idea how to speak to customers. I will not be ordering from there again!!

Ordered from Wayanns for the 1st time this evening. A little apprehensive as most carribean food in the area doesn't offer much to shout about, but I'm so glad I tried this one. I ordered the lge mutton curry rice & peas & veg. Plus a large Guinness punch. The portion size was fabulous with plenty of tender meat . The punch is so tasty. I was greeted and served with a smile and have no reservations on returning in the future. I'm so pleased you are only a few miles from my home. Me and my girlfriend had the oxtail with mutton rice and peas with steamed veg delivered. The food was delicious was a perfect temperature when it arrived a lovely spice to it and the delivery driver she was friendly so definitely would recommend 5/5

Ordered the large curried mutton, steamed veg, rice and peas with 2 festival. Food was delivered at the stated time. It arrived piping hot and the portion size was massive. It was absolutely amazing, you even managed to make steamed cabbage taste delicious. Friendly delivery man as well. 10/10

I kept ringing the restaurant and they said their driver isn’t there. They were waiting for him. They were not really sincere or helpful. The lady said she will call the driver and call me back but never did then I called back and she said the driver was on his way but still I waited a further 30minutes yet my house is 4 minutes away. Got my food an hour late.

On the 1.12. 19 we all went to Wayannas Restaurant the service was very friendly and relaxed. The food was amazing. I would highly recommend this Restaurant. Love it.

Truly embarrassing how consistently late the takeaway from this "restaurant" is! Coupled with there terrible customer service. I wouldn't bother with them!

Delicious ordered the small Jerk Chicken Rice & Pea's with a fried dumpling was tender and tasty plenty enough for one, if the delivery was that good I'm coming for my dinner, thank you.

Wish I had heeded the majority of reviews. Food was an hour late, which I'm fine with if it's quality food. Delivery woman very nice and apologetic (hence 1 star). I thought that the rice and peas were dry and tasteless, worst I have ever had. The chicken looked unappetising, absolutely drenched in some type of unpleasant sauce, I had a small taste and decided against eating it. My son said he thought it was ok (2nd star) but definitely not up to the standard of carribean takeaways from Dudley road, bearwood etc. I won't be ordering again

The staff are unconcerned with the 2 hours wait for service! The food although comes out hot and mostly nice, often dry and incorrect orders. I don't understand why they've raised prices when the quality has decreased. This is a last resort for me

Just got my food i have to say its 🔥 my oxtail was banging lots of meat and boiling hot, jerk wings was real deal best ive had next level. The jerk sauce is 🔥 to absolutely amazing!!! Sweet festivals was on point to!! Definitely be ordering from hear again no doubt 👊

ordered food at 21:07 and the food never arrived. been waiting for nearly 2 hours, bad service.

Appalling customer service, and extremely unprofessional. I would give this company one star if I could. I ordered some food from this shop of just eat. A few minutes later I received a call stating that they had soup, but they ran out of the actual contents in the soup (-_-), but they are still willing to get it ready for collection (Gee thanks, so kind of them). I asked if there’s anyway alternatives that they can put in the soup, or can I have an extra item giving that I’m not exactly getting what I completely asked for. They said no. At this point I’m slightly confused. They’re expecting me to pay the complete price for an incomplete order, without and suggestion of alternatives which I would have been more than happy to consider. At this point I just cancelled my order. I won’t be ordering from this establishment anymore. If I was them I would have accommodated the customer. Giving that it was a mistake on their side, and the extra item I suggested was only £1.50 (not really braking the bank), because they were not will to do this, they ended loosing an order and repeated business . . .

Absolutely love the curried goat main so soft and tastes amazing the festival's and fried dumplings are also amazing lovely lady serving just wish it wouldn't take 2 hours for my delivery to come as I'm 36 weeks pregnant and I'm addicted to this meal but I guess it's worth the wait :)

Really great Jamaican food, I recommend it to anyone looking for great tasting Jamaican food.

Would not recommend this restaurant.. BTEC level of service don't know how this still open. Better off going to KFC or the other one over the road far better

This place provides some amazing food. The service is great - can be a small wait sometimes at busy times - phone in your order first if you want it ready when you get there. Cannot Recommend Wayanns enough.

Absolutely terrible service. Placed my order at 7pm it then turned 8:30pm and i rang up to see where it is, for me to be told they're waiting on the driver and hasnt even left the restaurant. I patiently wait until 9pm and rang the restaurant again and was told its just left, the woman on the phone didnt even care the fact ive been waiting 2 hours, so i cancel my order and got hung up on. A futher 15 mins down the line i get a phone call from the delivery driver telling me he is 6 doors up at the wrong house and wondering why no one is answering. I still sent the food back as i feel like this experience was a complete shamble. I used to love eating from here but no more.

Ordered oxtail it was tough and inedible. Soup was so peppered I found two burst scotch bonnet in one small soup It was inedible. You guys need to cool down on the pepper and cook your oxtail properly. Wasted £16. Never buy from you again!

Just ordered the Ackee and Saltash for £7.00 on just eat... So oily..inedible..what a waste of money. So dissapointed.

Pathetic.... Staff was rude over the phone... Driver turned up 20 mins late with my order... And was extremely rude about it... Good was cold.. The curried goat had no goat.. Might as well just been rice with sauce... I asked for jerk chicKen it came with sweet and sour sauce... They said waiting time was 1hr... Which in the end I waited 1.20hrs for a terrible meal... Will use JAMENG from now on..
