Wonderful experience food was extremely excellent ,service was 5* Great place to celebrate a birthday it was my sixtieth fantastic birthday experience thanks I will definitely recommend Water's Edge to all my guests from my hotel and I will definitely be back absolutely brilliant place to eat

Great service, staff very helpful and friendly, food was very good, great atmosphere and a great place to eat. Plenty of car parking space, wheel chair friendly entrance

Was sat down quickly hardly a wait. Went to the bar and ordered 2 carveries and 2 drinks for £32. For the amount of food you get not bad I don't think.

Wasn't impressed with the carvery at all. The meat was very fatty and chewy and the roast potatoes were hard. Maybe try ordering from the menu if we go again.

If you like see through wafer thin meats from the Carvery....this is the place to go. One basically is paying for a plate of vegetables as the meats are sliced by Gillette razors.

Usually great food but today was terrible. Lasagne was so overcooked the pasta was black and burnt. Chicken wings were also dry and overdone

My husband and I called here for a carvery. It was delicious, everything cooked to perfection and the young lad serving (I forgot his name, but he was very young) was lovely, chatty and helpful. After lunch my husband was so amazed with your icecreams, he had 3 different flavours, he thoroughly enjoyed it. I was too full after lunch, but was so tempted to have a piece of cake. I opted for the school cake, which they put in a takeaway box for me to eat in my hotel later. It tasted lovely. All of the staff were happy, helpful and polite, especially the deputy manager Lee, he's such a nice lad and went out of his way to make sure we enjoyed our stay there, he was exceptional. We will be back next time we're in Blackpool.

All 3 of us had the carvery and it was horrendous 2 choices of meat turkey and beef (when there should be 3) I don't eat turkey and chicken so that left just beef. It was incredibly dry. All the veg was hard, dry and wrinkled. The small amount of mash was all crusty and dried up. We asked for more and waited 10 minutes for it and they then brought out microwaved small amount for 3 of us. It was truly bad and tasteless. We left most of it and our dogs benefited from the meat that was too dry and tough for us to eat.

Ordered a 3 course meal did not get the third part of the meal deal and they should use smaller plates as the food fits on half the plate.

From the moment I walked in here, I knew my experience was going to be phenomenal - so phenomenal, in fact, that I would be uncharacteristically enthused to ACTUALLY write a review. After placing your order, you'll soon be eating food that far exceeds your expectations, wishing only that you'd ordered more... It's five stars all-around; there's no denying it. Well been here for breakfast several time however not coming back!!!we had full English and ordered extra toast..everything was lovely untill we asked for extra butter..we were bought 2 individual portions and were told if we want anymore..there would be a charge...well ive never ever had this issue..£24 for 2 breakfasts with extra toast and told if we needed more butter we would have to pay extra..well you have just lost 2 good paying customers..😡

Burger was fantastic, reasonably priced and they had a small choice of real ales which were really nice,,, more than you can say for other nearby places. Staff were friendly and attentive and quick service.

We went in wuth our Mini Daushound and we welcomed with open arms we knew there was outside seating for dogs under cover the Lady that welcomed us was so friendly to us and the dog as we're all the staff the carvery was beautiful excellent value and cake away carrot cake lovely would definitely recommend the place

Great place with a good atmosphere and service. However, the prices are not very competitive compared to other well known pub outlets.

Had the carvery was ok bit more meat would of been nice

It came up as the first pub on a dog friendly pub search so we drove there for my daughter’s birthday. Upon entering, we double checked that our dog, Reggie, would be allowed inside and were told that we’d have to sit outside, even though it was raining and freeze cold. Very disappointed ☹️

Just called in kn way back home for some tea, a neat/clean pub, family area to, plus no dogs. A really good atmosphere and the food we had was VG. Others seemed to be enjoying the carvery. All good, would recommend.

Went today for a carvery. Spent £60 for four of us. Meat was like rubber and cold, veg and potato’s were hard and just didn’t taste nice at all. No flavour just like eating watery rubber and cardboard unfortunately. We did tell them at the end it wasn’t nice and we got a free dessert but we all left hungry as couldn’t eat half the food. We really did try due to being so hungry but it just was awful sorry! It’s the second time we’ve been now and it’s been the same we thought the first time was just a bad day and give it another chance. Won’t be coming again for a carvery. Staff are nice and good atmosphere.

Fantastic pub. Great for a Sunday dinner carvery. They also have a great selection of dishes on the regular menu plus the cake station is amazing. We always get a huge slice cake to take away.

I am extremely disappointed to learn..after having dined there before to find out that the meat that is served in there ( apart from pork) is HALAL !! What gives this establishment the right to serve halal meat to their customers who to the most part are 99.9% non Muslims. Avoid this establishment.

Went for food yesterday 19th July. Bar staff really good and pleasant. The person who was on the sweet side was not. We waited 15 whilst she was making 4 ice creams. She seemed busy but didn't Acknowledge us or that we had been waiting. Then she walked past us to take the ice creams to the table, then started to clear tables. The pub wasn't busy and loads of tables were free n clean. We left and unfortunately you lost another order. Being short staffed is accepted due breweries cutting back but being ignored isn't acceptable.

Good breakfast, nice atmosphere, and fair value for your money. Update 2024: Food undercooked. Service was rude and overpriced for the quantity on the plate. Deserts overpriced and my personal opinion, to big so over selling on this point. The manager is quite argumentative, and the waiter was trying to be clever and embarrassing. The manager did have the food re done and cooked quite well, just leaves a bad taste in the mouth with the behaviour from the staff, and spoils the day a bit when we only get the odd day to spend with the partner just me and her.

Food and service was unreal. Really nice. Highly recommended. The Beef Brisket, Gherkin & Mustard Dip pizza is 👌👌

Really good, traditional pub with top quality food and bar service. It's a good venue for big group meals and special occasions 😀 The food is fantastic quality for the price, highly recommended!

Second time we have visited this pub/restaurant. Food excellent,we can say the same about the staff and service, absolutely fantastic. A member of staff even came chasing after us as we left the restaurant,because I left my glasses on the table. Five star service,many thanks guys, we will visit again you can be sure of that.

Visited with My Daughter(27)and my Son(23)it was his birthday on Monday 3rd and would of been my Dads on the 7th June. So we came there as both my parents loved it there and the food is great. We opted for a small carvery..boy oh boy me and my son couldn't finish it even though we hadn't piled it on like some others we have seen in other carvery places.The lovely girl who was attending to our table went and got us containers so we could take it home. I had mine for breakfast the next morning.😄

We celebrated my grandsons birthday party there last night and the service was dreadful , all the meals came out at different times , my husbands and mine arrived 25 mins after everyone else’s and it was only a salad and a wrap ! Yet we ordered at the same time as my daughter , i could of appreciated it if we had been waiting on a proper meal … I had to ask a member of staff and they were not bothered and not apologetic , … not friendly staff …. But extremely disappointed to say we are local yet they don’t seem to care about the locals … oh well we won’t be going back to “” Waters Edge “” again !!!

Good food&drink, great value nice people and really clean.... Couldn't ask for more... Brilliant if you have kids as well (Sunday lunch carvey highly recommended)

It was a Monday evening so it was very quiet. The staff are very good. My order was mixed up, and the waiter corrected straight away and I received a refund good customer service.

Lovely carvey and a delicious menu....on a diet so had to opt for a salad it was excellent

Nowhere near any water that could be seen....and I'm not quite sure that the sea ever came inland this far - but, friendly staff and a pleasant public house with an extensive menu. We opted for a carvery roast - but although ok, I think it had been left under the gantry lights a bit too long. Turkey was good, beef a little dried out. Plates not hot..Roast pots had dried out and were just 'chewy'. We'll call again when it's a little busier/ or try other items on the menu.

Nice pub but they really need to clean up the outside area quicker after people have left, the beer garden was messy when we arrived.

Booked a table for 12, 2 starters came out then nothing for 30 minutes. Main course came out and missed off 3 mains when we asked about the rest none seemed to know anything. Eventually the food came out but was stone cold, very overpriced for deep fried food. Won’t be going back again

Had my dad funeral spread there 16th april 2024 hot buffet it was just the best everything was so lovely certainly recommend it there they did us proud staff very friendly there nothing too much trouble Thankyou so much

Nice food we went for a carvery good selection of veg bit stingy on the meat for a large size as my son got a small and no difference apart from a stuffing ball good location

A strange experience. On the face of it a nice looking pub, but the food I had was poor for a modern pub in 2024. The cake thing is weird, because it’s not the cake on display you get served. The staff are incredibly miserable in the times I’ve been in. For a local it’s a disappointment not to be visited again.

My wife had the cheese and onion pie .which was nothing more than mashed potato with a cheese flavour. My fish was lovely but the chips were microwaved. Not very good for the price they charge. This was a lovely pub at one time. But its fallen by the wayside. Now.

Went for a carvery. Meat was beautiful, I had ham and beef, mouthwatering. The meal was let down by the sprouts and roast potatoes. The sprouts were undercooked and chewy, the roast potatoes had barely been roasted. They were more boiled potatoes with an occasional crispy edge bit. If they sort the sprouts and roasties out it would be an amazing carvery

Excellent service and good quality food

Food let it down... 3 of us had a carvery. Potatoes were solid and couldn't be cut with a knife and fork. The guy couldn't even cut the beef it was that dry and tough. My lad had a burger which was good but hardly any chips. The service was very very good though and the place was clean. Would go back just wouldn't recommend the carvery

Fantastic roast dinner value for money

Lovely pub. They have a great menu with prices for all budgets. There is also a family side and adults side if you want to choose. Will definitely be back and would like to try the breakfast as well.

The waters edge has recently had a refurbishment, and it looks so much better. The interior is very classy, modern and inviting and the staff are excellent. We took advantage of the 6 small plates deal, and each one was superb.

Called here for a drink while in the area. A nice, modern pub & restaurant. Clean and tidy and recently refurbished. Comfortable seating and a pleasant atmosphere. A good range of drinks available. The deserts, cakes and ice creams looked delicious. I would call here again.

I will start with the positive - there is a good selection of meals available for vegetarians and vegans. The food was ok, good-sized portions, though I prefer my chips cooked and crispy rather than half raw and soggy. The service from the bar was poor. The person serving us was more distracted in speaking with others than engaging with us. I tried to make a funny comment at one point, which was responded to with a curled lip and nonplussed response. The sign as you walk in, I'm sure, said adult only dining, but there were plenty of children running about. Overall, it's not the best experience.

Lovely place to visit, I've not used the hotel however the rest was fantastic with excellent service and staff.

Large modern family restaurant and bar. Reasonably priced menu. Good parking. Outdoor area for drinks in better weather.

Limited menu for those who require the basic bland foods for themselves. Rather pricey for a typical pub grub eatery.

The food is average, but expensive! . Even a carvery is nothing to write home about. I can't really comment on the service as the carvery is self service and my wife had her meal delivered. There is nothing that makes this place stand out from the rest . It is what it is pub grub and a carvery, but expensive .

we went for a meal with the family on the 2nd January 2024, it was very empty, hardly any body in there. It seemed like there were more staff than customers. With our party of six, I think we more than doubled the customers in there. It was around 8pm that we were there, and we all ended up with our 3rd choice of food, because a lot of the choices were 'sold out'. There were no steaks available, at all. And other things from the menu weren't available either, but I can't remember what now. So that was disappointing, but we stayed to eat, as we wouldn't have had enough time to go anywhere else, to be honest, and still get food. 2 of us ended up with burgers, and 2 of us ended up with chicken tika massala and 2 of us shared a pizza. The food was OK for pub food, have had a lot worse. It seems tome, that there's alot of emphasis on dessert / cake there. But a nice main would have been good! The price was OK. I tried to buy a still water, but they had none whatsoever, only fizzy. So I ended up drinking tap water, which I wasn't thrilled with, but OK. Everyone else had their beers, cokes etc, but I don't drink any of that stuff. 🤷🏻‍♀️ We will eat there again, as it's close to my sisters, where we all gather for Christmas, and it's OK. Just disappointed that the meals available were lacking. Oh, the music was good! We, as a family love music, so one of us or all of us are always humming or quietly singing along to whatever is on the radio etc.

Since 2015 My 16 years in Catering, hospitality, kitchens, hotels and bars Etc have i ever wrote or spoke about a facility which I now have time to do Service 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Always get a nice warm welcome everytime we enter the premises Never seen them changed the staff always the same old faces and some new it's a good thing because in my opinion the employees must be happy and the employers must look after their staff hats off to them Food 🌟🌟🌟🌟 Had a carvery the roasties wasn't as good as usual but all fresh and ready to eat turkey and gammon is a must for choices of meat Cake-away 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Was so good a can't remember what I had! See you again soon

Excellent value for money, good beers on tap and there is a large food menu. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Never disappointed, and the cake is huge!

Firstly, very nice refurb - everywhere looks fresh and modern (apart from upstairs men's toilet radiator in picture). Went to order food for 4 people, informed couldn't have steak as had run out (this was 13:15 on a Friday), could always nip next door to booths when you next run out of a dish! Matt (who seemed to be a manager) was very nice and had a nice demeanour. The fish and chips were average, mushy/bland fish. The food all seemed a bit expensive for what it was, if it was £2-5 cheaper that would be more fair.

Nice clean place, good children's play area, we had chicken teaka, was very nice. Been here a few times now, and would definitely call again. m.w

All tables reserved from ,4.00pm for quiz that didn't start till 7.30. grumpy barman said we could dine if we wanted. Unwelcoming and made to feel uncomfotable.didnt bother and left

Great service, good food and a warm friendly welcome.

Well kept and staffed restaurant. Limited choice of drinks as it linked to a brewery so you have all the alternative choices from that brewery. Food was served quickly and good portions at a reasonable prices.

Pleasant brewery owned pub. Had lunch. Carvery most days. Extensive menu.Had soup and a wrap... both very good. Would recommend

Claudia and Gavin are working wonders along with all their great staff. They served just under 30 of us to our pre ordered three course celebration mealwith only one dessert hiccup. Absolutely brilliant.

We had a great carvery meal, was let down by poor roast potatoes and lack luster Yorkshire pudding. Otherwise we would have given it 5 stars.

Good pub grub. Fast efficient service.
