Lovely little bakery/cafe, lots of outside seating available, also a number of inside seating. Friendly and helpful staff. The food is affordable and lovely. The manager is friendly and welcoming.

Lovely Meat and Potato pie. Sausage rolls good too. Value for money and friendly staff.

Such a lovely place, gorgeous food and friendly staff. Definitely a must, if you’re close and even if you live far away it’s worth going for the day. Grab some fresh pastry and have a nice walk along the beach.

Great selection of cakes. Nice little seating area outside to enjoy a coffee and cake in the sun. The manchester tarts were really nice.

Went there with my wife daughter and grandkids spent £25 the older lady behind counter,who i think was the manager should not be in that job very impatient rude and overpowering my daughter was very upset spoilt our visit to Lytham ..Hope she is not there next time we go or she learns how to treat customers..

Don't go often and must say the food is very very nice. Very nice selection of vegetarian pies which is unusual. However, service is bordering on the impatient and rushed. Perhaps regulars get better treatment. It would be nice too, when eating in the shop to have the option of a plate and of a knife, fork and serviette as it is very difficult to eat a very hot potato pie with hands, balancing it over a small paper bag while doing so. When you are in Lytham St Annes and you are hungry or thirsty you must call at Bakes & Cakes in St. Annes the food is really fresh and tasty for sandwiches and pies and all kinds of snacks, if you want a meat and two veg dinner then this is Not the place for you but for anything else in food this is the place for you, the price is really reasonable and the staff are helpful and friendly. Came in last Monday for a sandwich bit noticed they sold steak and ale pies so opted for one of those instead.The pie was piping hot and the filling very generous and the gravy delicious it kept me going until the next day will return when in the area again they also have a wide selection of cakes as well.

Call for a breakfast barm when in St Ann's, unbeatable quality , swiftness of service , prices are excellent value for money , yet to find anywhere that comes close . Top review for a top cafe / take away .

Love going into bakes and cakes. Have been regular for a short while and now when I go in I don't even have to ask for my order, I just get a thumbs up, a nod and a smile and my order is spot on. It's little things like this that make it worth going. Also the friendly range of staff always seem happy to help even when under pressure. Also if I wasn't on a diet I would have the cheese and jalapeños slice every day. I have brought people in from lancaster who haven't stopped talking about the chocolate éclairs for weeks. Used Bakes and Cakes for over 10 years now and never once had a bad sandwich. Freshest bread delivered daily and lovely staff who do a great job and more than reasonable prices. Ideal place for families on day trips to get their sandwiches, cakes and pasties for the beach. If I could give 6 stars I would 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

There is a Very arrogant man who I think owns it ,after a big order he were very rude and embarrassed me as I dint no were to que up ....every time I am in there he makes u feel unwelcome even tho use to spend alot.i won't be goin ther agen

Love this bakery I've been coming here for years. However the staff are horrible and the guy that owns it looks down at everyone everytime I go in. Don't like people with big orders and try rush u when your ordering! The man who owns it is awful very rude and disrespectful. One time he tried to say I stole a drink. I spend around £20-£30 a week there and I think they need to teach the staff and owner a few manners!!!

Ordered some tea cakes in this shop and was very dissappointed the amount of butter on them was pathetic! You have to put plenty of butter on tea cakes! The table needed cleaning which we did and the toilet was disgusting. Though there seemed to be plenty of staff there was none looking after the shop customer area. This should be a good business however staff training needs to be a must. Extremely dissappointed!

Absolutel ridiculous, I paid for 2 meat and potatoe pies , one was ready and other was still baking so she took my name and I said will they be ready in 5 min + she no , but I will one to one side for you, so after 10 min I went in asked a SO CALLED shop assistant who worked there she I don't know , so I well could you tell if upu have any meat and potatoe pies ready for sale and again she said I don't know so I ask her again sane answer again, so eventually this other assistant said they will out soon and I will give you one + find you so I sat outside yhe shop for 10 minutes then went back in and the assistant are the meat + pot pies ready she I don't to 3 times, so the assistant stood next to her said yes there ready then next assistant said I came out the shop and couldn't find me ( which is a bit grazy as i am sat out dide the shop entrance abkut 6 foot away on flowrr wall, so 3 diff answers!!!!. So leaving the shop I said ignorant, obnoxious staff mber it's very simple when a customer ask you have you any meat × pot pies for sale I stead of saying I dont know sipmlely go to counter and check, so she staying good bye . Bye, thick , ignorant she was about 44 and had posh / middel class voice so it's either a mid life crisis or she has entered the work world and doesn't like it,

Really solid option for lunch or breakfast. Sausage or bacon barms for breakfast with hash browns or mushrooms/onions are delicious. Burgers or pasta/bacon boxes are tasty and filling. All reasonably priced and a good selection of cakes too!

Absolutely love bakes & cakes. Been my go too favourite for years for a before work breakfast and brew.Always fresh hot tasty food, quality ingredients and reasonable prices. Love the thick cut buttered toast and the sausages are really yummy. The cappuccinos are just amazing. Seating available inside and out which is great. All the staff are lovely and friendly. Thanks to the bakes and cakes team who do an amazing job :)
