Wai Chan in Bridgend

AWFUL! where do I start. Delivery was late. Driver sat outside my house for 10 minutes. Chips were soggy on outside and raw on inside. Crispy beef looked and tasted like it was prepared whilst in lockdown. Chicken balls were soggy on outside and raw dough on inside. Oww and the egg fried rice was burnt and harder than my nips on a cold winters day! Rung back and women persistently argued saying it was cooked fresh this morning (order at 8:15pm) but reassured me it was cooked fresh to order ? Seeking refund I would advise no one order from here save your money and look elsewhere god help the toilet tomorrow

Perfect every time! My grandmother is the most fussy woman you'll meet for food, and she loved this! She wants more already. Have ordered many times before, and will definitely order again.

Just had a delivery from Just eat of sweet and sour chicken and chicken noodles. Will not use them again as chicken noodles were dry and possibly reheated! Totally inedible and smelt like they had been cooked in a dirty pan! Went straight in the bin!!!

This is the worst Chinese in Bridgend, I’m single person and don’t often take out intact I haven’t had a Chinese in months because of the cost of living, I can’t afford to waste my money to dine out so wanted to treat myself tonight, I was so upset and felt robbed of my money. The Chinese was cold, not even like warm cold. The crispy beef was black a burnt, the curry sauce was so lumpy and thick it looked sickening and tasted awful, I called to say that I wasn’t happy and really disappointed, they just palm everyone off in hope that we just accept this poor quality, if they think this is good Chinese food then there is something wrong with them. I have had so many nice crispy beefs over the years they think I don’t know what it’s supposed to be like. I’m absolutely gutted, how they are proud of their cooking and people actually rerun is beyond me. This is not Chinese food, it’s disgusting don’t bother. They weren’t even confident in their response just rude and making excuses. Not one to review but I can’t see people wasting their hard earned money on places like these people anymore.

My Singapore vermicelli was burnt in places and had a bitter taste.

Usually my favourite Chinese but most of the dishes didn’t have much flavour to them. Everything was cooked well and warm on arrival but just lacking flavour. Seems proper off for this Chinese as usually great!

The food was lovely and hot and extremely tasty. Containers were filled to the top, so we had plenty to eat.

Looked good reading the recent reviews, so I gave the restaurant a try when I was working in the area. Fair play, it was a fantastic meal! Delivery driver managed to find me at a remote location and was a few minutes early. Food was hot and really enjoyable. Will definitely use again when in the area.

Normally the food from here is great, but today the fried rice was partially cooked, making it inedible, unfortunately I only realised this after serving up my food, so I was unable to eat most of it.

The just eat website has not been updated, Wai chan link states that they send free prawn crackers with orders over a certain amount. I spent £36 and no prawn crackers were sent. When I phoned the restaurant they were not helpful. Terrible experience due to your website not being updated.

food arrived 15 minutes late and was inedible. It was very salty, chips like cardboard and dry chicken. it's a shame as I order from here fairly regularly. Waste of money this time as it all went in the bin.

Food was excellent, must add we made a point of ordering for after six pm, the delivery was half hour early, as we’d been out all day and just arrived home we weren’t ready to eat which was rather annoying, took the shine of an otherwise excellent meal.

Amazing food, quick delivery and delicious taste

The whole lot smelled burnt, it was awful. All the noodles and fried rice had a faint black all over it, but the smell and the taste were nasty, I don't think I'll be using this place again.

Arrived piping hot. The food was very tasty and lovely quality. We had fillet steak in tomato and garlic sauce. I will definitely purchase from here again

Chicken curry definitely not fresh - it was like clotted cream and therefore didn’t eat. Everything else was OK - not the best. Have ordered from Wai Chan many times but this is probably the last time - sorry. :-(

Our order was quite large as we had family around. Everyone enjoyed the meal It came all well cooked and tasty and importantly hot. Would definately order again.

Sadly the crispy beef was very overcooked and the battered chicken wasn’t particularly fresh tasting.

Our food arrived 20 mins early and was still lovely & hot! You can't go wrong with Wai Chan - their food is delicious and they're always so nice. I particularly enjoyed the singapore vermicelli noodles and chicken lettuce wraps 👌🏽 The crispy beef and cantonese sweet & sour chicken were also scrumptious. Even the CHIPS were cooked well: crispy on the outside fluffy on the inside. 100% recommend this restaurant and will continue to use as our go-to Chinese.

Always order my Chinese from here. Lovely food never disappoints. Give them a try you be surprised.

The food was delivered very (maybe too) quickly. The egg fried rice is just lazy cooking, the chow mein is bland and the ribs were awful they were tougher than steel capped boots! Will not be ordering from here again.

quick delivery thank you however i was disappointed due to the amount of GREASE was at bottom of the bag which made the containers slippery & paper bags that contained spring rolls & chicken balls the bags was saturated on out side with grease
