Wagamama in Lincoln

I'm registered blind and my partner and I came in for a late lunch, the place was busy but the server found us a little two person booth and then brought out a large print menu with braile at the back. I was so overwhelmed with how simple but inclusive this was. The servers were so lovely and helpful and I honestly don't understand why more restaurants don't have a large print/braile menu

I recently visited Wagamama in Lincoln and had an excellent dining experience. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service truly stood out. I’d like to extend a special thank you to the waitresses, Molly and Maya, for their exceptional customer service. Both were friendly, attentive, and made the experience even more enjoyable. A big thank you as well to the chef, as the food was absolutely fantastic, hot, fresh, and bursting with flavor. Every dish was prepared to perfection and served with care. I’ll definitely be returning, and I highly recommend this location for anyone looking for a delicious meal and top-notch service!

It was my friends birthday and we decided to go here even tho we were on a tough budget as we are both broke as hell 😅😅 and we were given the BEST service I've ever received my whole life. One of the waiters, the Moroccan one decided to pay on behalf of us and honestly that gesture has made my whole year, i would definitely recommend going here !!

Great tasting food and atmosphere. However, portion sizes have decreased significantly and prices have gone up. If you are willing to put those aside, the food still tastes great and quality has improved. A large vegetarian and vegan selection is available, almost half the menu. Good selection of drinks and milk alternatives for coffee. Staff are super helpful and friendly. Good service overall.

It was my first experience at wagamama and I thought it was really good. The food was amazing with loads of flavour. The service was really good even though it was very busy.. I will definitely be back again 👌

This was my first experience at a Wagamama. Went at 2pm on a Monday, there were less than 3 individual small groups of customers. When being seated I asked for myself and my partner to be seated at a table which has benches or chairs that aren't fixed/not a booth because I'm very heavily and visibly pregnant. I had to reiterate this three times before we got a table that was suitable...the host then pulled a bench out and dropped it on my toe. I loudly said "ouch" - there was no apology. Trying to order a starter I enquired twice about the cut of chicken (not described on the menu but some items are thigh and some are breast) and twice the host had to go back to the kitchen to find out. When asking about the chicken skewers he said the kitchen didn't know as the skewers come already made. By this point I was quite disgusted that not only do their staff not know their menu, I was also being potentially served pre packaged food as a starter than costs £9 to heat and plate up? The server "Mo" looked bemused when we said not to worry, we would go elsewhere. At this point I decided to take my hungry, now grumpy pregnant self across to Wetherspoons and had a far better experience than I got at Wagamamas. The noodles were actually nice at Spoons as well and 33% of the price (spoons doesn't try to be something it isn't, we all know it's cheap and pre packaged and not made fresh.)

Very busy but got a table after about half an hour wait. Food is always delicious and staff very friendly.

We were very disappointed with the service we received. We arrived just after they opened to miss the rush, the girl was very pleasant and took our order, we know things take a while, we accept this, but nearly an hour later and the place was full, i thought i should ask if they have forgotten us, after another 20 mins they confirmed the hand held ordering had not gone to the kitchen. they rush it though, no apologies etc. we had to buy more drinks as they had taken so long. then before we had finished eating we got asked 3 times by 2 members of staff if they can clear the table, they were rushing us out as they had people waiting. this total ruined the meal. its not as though we can afford to go out very often. is a shame as the food was as good as ever .

The service was incredible, Harvey was very attentive and quick. The food came in minutes and the portions are even bigger than the last time I came. The food tasted nothing short of perfect. I got the chicken katsu curry and the chicken gyoza which I recommend to anyone stuck on what to get. Overall just an incredible meal.

The food here has always been great, well cooked, presented well, and comes fairly quickly. Shame it’s let down massively by the atmosphere. You can see managers hoovering over the poor staff and making rude comments to them in front of customers, whilst they just stand around not doing anything or head back up to their offices. Just makes the whole dining experience awkward and I haven’t seen this in the other Wagamamas I’ve been to across the UK.

Interesting lunch at waga in Lincoln. I ordered a prawn raisukaree. £16.00. I challenged the server as prawns should be the main ingredient. They apologised and bought me 7 extra . But why not put them in in the first place?

When we went in this Saturday evening (24th August, around 9pm) we were met with a cold atmosphere to begin with, with the waitress clearly not wanting to be there, which likely led to the negligence we experienced. Both me and my partner are vegetarians, I have been for 5 years, and we are well versed in vegetarian eating out. We ordered our meals correctly, they were repeated back to us in a rushed manner and that was that. I am not hard of hearing, and I would’ve thought that when everything that was ordered was veggie, someone would certainly double check if they thought meat had been ordered. Our food came out, and with the quality of vegetarian options at wagamamas from previous visits, I thought nothing of it and ate my meal. When I came to read the bill, I saw that in place of what I had ordered was the duck option for the meal. This is not a mistake that can in any way be taken lightly. I feel physically sick knowing I have eaten meat for the first time in 5 years, and knowing that it was someone else’s negligence that has caused it makes it so much worse. I have no problem with wagamamas as a brand, and all my previous experiences have been good, but I won’t be returning. As two people working in the customer service and hospitality industry, these are the very basics, and it’s simply not good enough. I just hope that your training practices are improved upon, as there are clearly gaps that require attention.

Ordered a delivery of yaki soba chicken and prawn via deliveroo. Meal arrived totally tasteless with no dressing or flavour at all. I looked up the receipe clearly Wagamammas have omitted any flavouring in error. I rang Wagamammas and I was told I could only address directly with Deliveroo. Totally disinterested in my complaint. I contacted Deliveroo and chose the incorrectly cooked option explaining the meal was tasteless and flavourless and uploaded a photo as proof and submitted the complaint only to be told no compensation is available . This is completely unacceptable on behalf of wagammas and Deliveroo leaving the customer with no redress,an expensive incorrect meal and shocking service

We go to Wagamamas a lot and we see a lot of their servers, our server this time was Bailey and he was relatively new he was so kind and had so much energy keep up the good work Bailey!!

We had a lovely time ! Our server daisy was absolutely great, she was really nice and funny and she recommended the beef gyozas, they were so good! Will deffo get them next time as well ! Thank u daisy !!!

A really good food option in Lincoln, by the water, nice building and good food. Not quite a 5 star venue but very good. Staff very good but a bit of polish needed in the overall service department. I realise they're not starters but when the "mains" (the biggest dishes) all arrive before the drinks, then the gyozas arrive after you've finished the mains (I'm calling them mains) then the customer experience is bound to fall below a reasonable expectation. Especially the drinks arriving 5-10 minutes after the mains. Relatively small complaints and, as I say, good overall food but some focus could be brought on the logistics of the service to improve the overall guest experience.

Me and a friend went to wagamamas for a revision lunch break and got served by a very lovely girl called Daisy. She was so nice and made the meal so accommodating. We will obviously be going back cause it’s Wagamama’s but would definitely recommend this place :)

Edit: I realise I have been a bit scathing and I likely could have done things on my part. Realising it's late to close now I have decided to order online and have received positive interaction upon returning. I shall be amending this to reflect the service received in regards to the reception of an honest mistake. I do love this restaurant and I plan to continue my years of patronage. Just been in as of a couple minutes ago, it has been a historically amazing spot to dine as a solo diner. Was seen to quickly as the restaurant didnt appear overly busy and was sat down with amazing manners by my greeter before being told I'd be served shortly and then...nothing. 20 minutes later and nothing, everyone else checked up on but I was just left unseen. So I got up and left.

Absolute flippin banging food, although the chilli oil in the brisket ramen was a little hot for my partner we loved the food. The service was great and the food came out very quickly. It was my first time trying sake and it was spot on. Would recommend to anyone

Very happy with our visit there... cheered us up. The team was very nice to take extra precautions due to my wife's allergies. They made special note of this & personally communicated with the chef & confirmed with us again. Kept checking all customers to see how they were & did all the work with a smile... Special thanks to manager FAITH, trainee-manager MOLLY & waitress EESHA... Good job guys... very hardworking, professional and courteous...

Food is constantly good quality here, and the building is pretty cool being suspended above the water.

Wagamama’s has always been particular favourite of mine in Lincoln and my most recent experience the other night was truly phenomenal! I never knew Waggas would be such a good place to have a cheeky date! The vibe was astonishing and the food was fantastic as always! Just wanted to say a massive thank you to our host Kaylah for being such an attentive viber for the night! Massive thank you!

Was an amazing experience. 29/02/24 I had dietary restrictions and because of this I was served by the manager. Every step that could be taken to ensure that my order was safe for me to eat. Food was excellent. I was my son’s first experience in a Wagamama. He was really impressed. We had a warm goodbye from the manger a good wishes for our difficult we had coming.

Nice ambiance and fantastic food. Excellent service. I recommend the Chicken Gyoza Ramen and the Bang Bang Cauliflower. Tried the Chicken Korean Hot Pot and it was lush! It's the perfect warming dish for cold dreary weather.

Menu has a good selection, my daughter has a nut allergy and they took very strict guidelines to make sure her food was suitable for her. Staff all very pleasant. Would definitely recommend it.

First time trying the one in Lincoln last night, usually go to the one in Nottingam. Much prefer the Lincoln one as its on the water front.. Brilliant staff, lovely table server ( think his name was Harvy) credit to the place.. He even showed me a trick to beable to use chop sticks 🙈 haha... Food was outstanding.. Definitely be going back..

Recently, I had the opportunity to dine at Wagamama and was thoroughly pleased with my experience. The Tantanmen beef brisket ramen was a highlight, featuring juicy beef and a broth that was both flavorful and pleasantly spicy. The tama squid was crispy and well seasoned, while the ebi katsu offered a unique take on the classic chicken katsu dish. Although I did notice that the prices have increased, I believe the quality of the food justifies the cost. Overall, I would rate my visit to this restaurant a 4 out of 5 for the delicious food and excellent service.

Been here several times, always great atmosphere, great customer service and excellent food. Always get awesome waiter/ess. Today, our waitress was Liz, and she was awesome.

The first time I was there, it was packed and the service was quite not “normal”: waited a bit longer, and were ignored for a while, but got our food at the end. The second time there, it was better since it’s not too busy. The food tastes ok. Side dishes portions are smaller than I expected. The main portion is fine to me (I’m not a big eater tbh😅) The staff was trying their best and helped me to have what I wanted. The view would be nice to the Brayford Pool but there could be just diners around if it’s busy. So consider it if you want a romantic vibe 🙃

Gorgeous food, however, this restaurant does not cater to people who like myself are disabled. There is no ramp access for wheel chair users, only half a dozen steps. The seating inside does not support disabled people. There are only hard wooden stools ( quite high too, almost like bar stools) or wooden benches. I struggled terribly to be comfortable on the stool upon which my daughter and son in law managed to drag me. Indeed, almost 2 weeks later, I'm still finding it difficult to find a comfortable position after sitting on one for more than an hour. The food and service were excellant, and should Wagamama offer some kind of alternative seating, I would go again as I did really enjoy my birthday lunch. The only other downside was the level of the volume of music. It did not provide for conversation. Perhaps my conception of this restaurant is all wrong. Perhaps it is only a younger person's hip quick pitstop for food? Personally, I like to enjoy my food, and there was more than plenty with good conversation. The drinks were highly unusual but delicious. I will recommend this place for the food, but I'm sorry, Wagamama, until you can make some provision for disabled patrons. Mine will be given to one of your rivals, opposite.

I've had the pleasure of eating in the restaurant in Lincoln and having a delivery from them on the lazy days and honestly the food is exceptional everytime. Fast delivery, hot food and the flavours are what I expect every time!

This is Wagamama's ++. The restaurant is perched above Brayford Pool, once part of the oldest inland port in the country. The River Witham runs into the Pool and the Fossdyke Navigation links to the River Trent. Originally built by the Romans this water system is over 2000 years old. The area is now bordered by Lincoln University buildings on one side and restaurants, cinemas and pubs on the other. The glass facade of Wagamama's gives you a panoramic view of it all while you enjoy their delicious food.

Waga mamas as you would expect. As a previous regular, things do all turn up at different times, but when mains come first then starters then drinks half way through 3 of the 4 eating and most had almost finished when the 4th person received anything, some organisation may be worth considering.

Excellent Japanese type food, full of fresh produce with vibrant colours & amazing flavours, just a shame the seating is uncomfortable & the menus appeared worn & a little tatty, the drinks menu also fails to inform you that they sell draught Japanese lager, to which was a shame as we all wasn't impressed with the fruit cider at £6.15 for a small can that tasted like cheap cordial & they also bring out your food as it is cooked, so if your in a group please go prepared to have eaten your 3 courses before your friends have even had their staters, so to sum it up it does make you feel like your on a conveyor belt & it's very expensive for what it is really but, the food was very nice & tasty...
