Wonderful germ in Uplands, exceptional service and food. One of my favourite restaurants in Swansea. I especially like their stir-fried dishes. And the ladies serving are so friendly and attentive. And a meal (starter and main) for less than £25. Highly recommended and even worth a detour when you are staying in central Swansae.

Great atmosphere but was very busy and if there is a big group of you then expect a wait. I ordered the Green curry which tasted great but was rather spicy. Well worth a visit.

The food here was lovely, had a mixture of meat, prawn and vegetable dishes. All food fresh and full of flavour. Such a nice atmosphere in the restaurant, relaxed and cosy. The owner made us feel so welcome and helped us decide on what to order. Would definitely recommend and will be visiting again.

Came back from Vietnam a month ago and the food was equally as good, if not better here at Good Morning Vietnam !! The owner also took her time to come and chat at the end of the meal and was very kind and friendly. Will definitely be coming back and would 100% recommend.

I have been coming to Vietnam/Good Morning Vietnam for 20 years. They have updated the restaurant and the decor is cool with a laid-back vibe. The food is consistently great, flavours are amazing, from the Duck Pancakes to the Summer Roll Appetizers to the Noodle Mains and the Special Fried Rice. Sevice is consistent and gracious and engaging. Prices are great and a place to entertain out of town guests. Additionally, if you're lucky enough the owner will serve you. If you go to Swansea particularly Uplands, make sure you stop in for great food, atmosphere and service!!!

Good food, friendly staff, quick service and a fab spot!

They were busy so expected to wait a bit longer to be served - was soooo worth the wait! We had the sexy duck which really was as good as it sounds. And a very decent bottle of red to go with it. No doubt we will be back soon.

Completely satisfied in many way. food was so fresh and real good prepared. Love mango salad, Roasted duck .. all kind southern Asian food , All staffs was so friendly and working hard for all customers smile. definitely 5 stars for this small restaurant

The customer service is the best I’ve ever experienced the food is even better I’ve never experienced something so good the sechuan chicken is the main meal for me personally the crack fries are honestly the best snack on planet earth and I back this with my whole life.

4½ stars (can't put half stars here sadly)! This is based over two visits - the first of which was a real 5 star experience and the second a bit less so. Firstly the food is delicious - easy 5/5 on that front - some of the tastiest Asian food in Swansea and the crack fries are absolutely incredible! I'd also recommend the salt and pepper tofu, which is equally lush! We ordered several different meals and picked at other plates throughout the meal, meaning we got to sample a little bit of multiple menu options and they were ALL delicious! Service is unfortunately where I found Vietnam a bit lacking on my second visit - the person serving our table very rarely checked on us, and our service was slow and pretty unorganized. One meal I had ordered I was told wasn't available at the point of service, not when ordering, which meant I then had to wait until everyone else had finished their mains to receive my replacement meal. However, a shout-out has to go to the owner of the restaurant who took over towards the end and was absolutely incredible! ☺️ Overall, definitely worth a visit as the food alone makes your time there worthwhile! 😋

Absolutely delicious food for lunch, myself and some work colleagues ordered food for take away and it did not disappoint. we ordered the Bang Bang Chicken which was fiery but not too spicy and bursting with flavour, the Braised Beef which absolutely melted in our mouths (the best I've tasted in a long while) and finally the Lemongrass Chicken which tasted so so fresh and the sauce so fragrant. The service i received inside the restaurant was second to non and had a great conversation with the lovely owner (Dawn) who was happy to suggest and explain dishes of the menu. I would definitely recommend Vietnam and will be definitely ordering very soon in the near future. So Vietnam Swansea its a MASSIVE thumbs up from me :)

This place was a recommendation from a friend and I've got to say, it was absolutely the best Asian food I've tested so far. From the delicious, fresh and flavoursome beef summer roll, or prawns tempura, to the lemongrass chicken, that we had with some boiled rice, we were definitely not disappointed. The waitress gave us plenty of time to chose while advising us. She was very lovely and professional. I could have easily stayed for dinner as the place was so welcoming and there were plenty more dishes I want to test. I'll definitely be back as a regular. Thank you

Outstanding food, seriously good! My Kimchi Beef starter were delicious! Great service and friendly, attentive staff (without being intrusive). Cool and vibrant atmosphere. Recently fully refurbished and it's really nice. A few nods to the Robin Williams movie dotted about too, but tastefully done and not over the top. We called earlier that same day for an 8pm table and it was nicely busy. Booking ahead is highly recommended!

A superb lunch time treat. This was our first visit to the Vietnam and we were not disappointed from the moment we sat down. We were greeted with a friendly warm welcome and contagious smile. Any questions we had about the menu were explained in detail and we weren't disappointed with our choices. We had the Vietnamese fresh summer rolls and prawn tempura which were outstanding and for main we had Vietnamese braised beef and Sichuan spicy chicken which were full of flavour. The ambience was relaxing on such a beautiful day with the open doors. We are already discussing our next visit and meal choices. Thank you again for a lunch time treat and see you soon. Our overall experience at the Vietnam is an easy 10/10.

The restaurant boasts a fantastic decor and atmosphere, with excellent service and delicious dishes overall. However, the pho was extremely disappointing and undoubtedly the worst I have ever had. Priced at £14, it consisted only of bland broth, rice noodles, a few bean sprouts, and very dry chicken breast, leaving me feeling utterly cheated！This place used to serve great pho, but it has progressively gotten worse, increasingly cutting corners. If you visit, I strongly advise against ordering the pho, as it might make you feel like a fool.

The only thing I didn't like was The Most Messy Menu I've ever seen ;D §§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§ 2️⃣ Second visit after 3 years! Fresh look make very positive impression 😍 Stylish, with lots of Vietnamese 🇻🇳 details here & there. Just pity that musical setting is not efficient enough to add some more of South East Asian vibes 🪷 But not only ambience of interiors changed. Menu has go through some sort of revolution as well! I was the one who complained the most about chaotic character of the previous card and now looks like everything had a lot of cuts offs! We took some Vietnamese Beef Summer Spring Rolls with lemon grass and some sweet-sout sauce and these been simply heaven in our mouths 😋😋 Vietnamese Pork Belly which we thought it's gonna be normal gluey spice dish but apparently arrived as... soup/goulash/bullion with decent amount of meat. Lucky we went with - amazingly friendly & professional - waitress advice to take a portion of rice because none of sides hasn't been included ➖☹️ and the size of dish portions were pretty small tbh comparing to the past and prices of those. I went with yummy Vietnamese Beef Stir Fry . Again! - size wasn't impressive, unfortunately. Good that we had a starter before! Generally speaking with cutting down the Menu, they go with a 'shrinking' trend & rising up the sum you gonna be charged for that. Not nice. Overall very positive experience but preferred old style food with new interiors - that could be a perfect combo! 🥰

Popped into the restaurant to try their salt & pepper squid and Vietnamese rare beef rice noodle soup after a long journey. I knew they are not authentic Vietnamese food after i read their menu. We were let down by the food, a very small portion of squid cost £7.50 & £13.50 for a msg base soup instead of beef bone soup. Luckily we did not order much in the beginning as I doubted if the food was good. First time and won’t come back again.

I love Vietnamese food and a visit to this restaurant did not disappoint me. I ordered half a duck and vegetable and special pancakes with delicious soya sauce. It was Portion for two but i couldn't leave a bite because of how good it was. Very nice owner who likes to talk to guests.

We decided to visit vietnames restourant with a family and we,really like the food, the athmospher especially the hospitality of the owner is outstanding . I really love to come back again and again .

The restaurant had a cozy atmosphere with nostalgic decorations and the staff were very friendly. What made the experience even more interesting was when the owner came to our table to ask if we enjoyed the food. Before coming to the restaurant, I had read about her inspiring life story. For starters, we ordered Vietnamese spring rolls which were delicious. For the main course, we had the Vietnamese Braised Beef and fried noodles which were also tasty, but the Kung Pao chicken was too spicy for my liking.

What a fabulous restaurant! Staff are friendly and knowledgeable about their dishes. All food is made to order, which is why service may be somewhat slow on occasion, but honestly the food is so worth the wait! I highly recommend the Sichuan chicken! The restaurant is also beautifully decorated and in a lovely location! I really recommend this establishment if you’re a fan of Asian cuisine.

Super slow service. Didn’t taste Vietnamese at all (other than the summer rolls) All food was heavily cooked in oil, which is generally the opposite of how it is usually cooked. Veggie soup cooked with meat broth, so be careful So disappointed as we travelled over half an hr to get to the restaurant

The restaurant is nicely decorated. However I will not go again. I went with my partner and ordered two pho- dont know why they dont write ‘pho’ but used a very lenghty name ‘authentic vietnamness rice noodle soup’, and one roasted coffee under their hot drinks session (see menu as attached). Lets talk about the pho first as it is easier. The stock is so thin and not ‘authentic’ at all I’d say. It is like water adding a bit of shop-buy stock. Anyway.. it doesnt taste bad.. but one would expect something much better in a viet restaurant. I was very sure that I ordered One coffee because I literally said ‘one’. End up they came with two cold roasted coffee. The waitress said that we did order two (!!?) and roasted coffee is meant to be cold. I show her the menu and she said the menu has mistake. She did offer to change to hot but I can sense her unwillingness so I didnt. Especially she thought it was my mistake. I dont think they are honest and the food is not good enough for me to go back. I dont recommend.

Visited here the other day with friends and really enjoyed the food! The duck pancakes were so tasty and so were the udon noodles. The waitress was very polite and attentive and the decor inside was so nice. Would definitely recommend!

Came here with friends and was pleasantly surprised with how tasty the food was. I had the bang bang chicken and it was delicious, also loved the summer rolls and the crack fries. The boy that served us was very polite and was helpful with recommendations on the menu. Would definitely come back again to try more stuff on the menu!!!!

Really tasty food, warm welcome and service

Slow service, sat for 15 minutes before offering us a drink or taking our order. Food was great for some dishes, average and awful. I wouldn’t go back.

Firstly, sort the menu out. The online menu and the in house menu are completely different. Chicken skewers were described online as satay and this was confirmed by the server. They were not. Very disappointing. Bang bang chicken. Not sure what’s bang bang about it. Described as chicken in a coconut sauce. Arrived as a bushtucker trial giraffe tongue looking collection of meats in a sticky broth. However, the meat had a nice taste, just had to push the bowl away due to the stench of the broth. Clearly didn’t enjoy the food due to what was left on the plate but the server said nothing, didn’t even ask if we wanted to take anything home.

The Vietnam has recently reopened after a MASSIVE refurb however, the food is as good if not better than ever! Amazing atmosphere… delicious food and a very warm welcome! Dawn, the owner, could not be more welcoming and friendly and will talk you through the menu if you’re unsure… go there.. you will not be disappointed!

Half decent. Kimchi beef starter was banging. Pho is called authentic Vietnamese soup, why not just call it pho? Broth was thin, not much aromatics or garnish and thin rice noodles like in paper rolls which not a fan of. Rice paper rolls served with hoisin? Where’s the Nouc Cham fam. Not exactly what I’m looking for tbh

I’m Vietnamese, and I’ve been trying to find a Vietnamese restaurant to eat at. Then I found the Vietnam restaurant. I had a bowl of Pho Bo, and it was decent, not anything too special. If you want to taste an actual Vietnamese cuisine, this isn’t the place. But if you want to tryout the cuisine, it’s not a bad place to start.

Visited this restaurant with my family. It was excellent in every way, fresh authentic food, friendly staff, cosy warm atmosphere with lovely lighting, look forward to eating here again

My partner and I waited a year for our favourite restaurant in Swansea to re-open and we were not disappointed. The food is always consistently fresh, delicious and healthy. Our visit following the re-do was perfect. It’s the most authentic and fresh Vietnamese restaurant. The owner is always so lovely and friendly, always coming out to talk to us. It makes the place welcoming and inviting. We love the remodel, beautiful decor. You can tell she takes pride in her work. Probably the best Vietnamese restaurant in Wales at the moment and we have tried most of them over the years. Food was excellent, I had chicken gyoza, spring rolls and crispy duck. Every dish was beautifully served and taste was so fresh and delicious. Definitely freshly cooked food! The interior in this restaurant is unique. We was very pleased with the wine list and selection of beers.The service was all that we could ask for. Waiters was all the time around and were very friendly and polite. We will be definitely back there soon!

We visited Vietnam this week. The restaurant was half full and a bit cold inside, with a few diners eating whilst still wearing their coats. No problem at this stage, since it wasn’t that cold really. The drinks took over 30 minutes to arrive and...

Make over not worked, service was worse than a 1 star, food substandard, tables crammed in meaning a member of my table had to move everytime someone wanted toilet or food being delivered. Refunded 1 main meal as it arrived after we all finished, starter was a mess, 2 soups delivered to 1 person, also refunded.

Tragic The waiting staff get a 5* for not walking out they were lovely apparently one of them didn’t even work there and was just visiting her pal. It’s not many times I’ve left restaurant hungry because of poor service. It took 35mins to get our drinks after ordering, after 80mins one main course turned up followed by two starters 10mins later. We had to find our own cutlery and napkins. At 95mins we gave up and went to the kebab house. Until they sort their Shi*t out avoid like the plague, there were at least five tables around us complaining about service, food, bills etc. A failure on every level which was a shame as they one meal that arrived tasted ok.

Don’t look like much but it’s a good meal out..

If you love Pho and live in Sth West Wales you actually have no alternative. Fortunately, the Pho Bo is excellent - as are all the other dishes - and the service both friendly and efficient. Decore is plain and simple, but that's definitely not a complaint. Indeed, my only complaint is that the Vietnam Restaurant in Uplands, Swansea is an hour and a half drive from where I live!

The Vietnam(ese) restaurant is a go-to eat. The food is fresh and the service is great. Highly recommended the salt n chilli tofu- even if you're not a meat eater!
