Came in for Carvery on Sunday. Fantastic food and amazing service.

Whilst staying at the premier inn we visited the restaurant for breakfast, we was greeted by a lovely lady (Mandy).we was shown to our table and informed that breakfast was buffet and we could just help ourselves,there was plenty to choose from.Will definately return on our next visit.

Dirty restaurant, cold food, my daughters dinner looked like vomit 🤮

Brought my 2 year old daughter to brewsters for breakfast and got turned away at the door as they couldn’t accept walk ins. I explained that she is 2 and all she will eat is a piece of toast but was still told they won’t allow walk ins. Complete inconvenience having caught the train to parkway and having to wait for a return train. Shocking service.

Brewers fayre were probably an okay place to go for a quick meal 15+ years ago. Now living off hotel guests next door who have no where else to go. Staff quite friendly, but slow to clear plates and having to prompt for courses. The vegetarian lasagna was vile - no tomato sauceq and cheese on top hadn’t seen a grill - dry and anaemic. Food overall lacking and not worth the prices paid.

Went last minute, booked a table & arrived an hour later. From the time we walked in, the staff were lovely & helpful, the food was HOT, & arrived quickly & and efficiently between the courses. Would definitely recommend a visit even on a busy Friday night.

Went on Saturday stood at the please wait to be seated area staff and management just looked at us and walked past waited 20 minutes went up to the bar and asked could we please be seated in the play are they said yeah just walk in fond a table someone should be in there , got in the place was filthy 3 empty tables only 1 hadn't been touched , food all over the floor sticky tables food just tasted OK ish , there's no staff ensuring the kids aren't misbehaving (parents should be doing that also )as there was a group of boys playing with the wire of the toy horse pulling the plug in and out so no other little kids could play on it , just very dirty and the poor girl working there was so busy there really should be another member of staff in there to help keep it clean and run properly , just a very dorty poorly run place won't be going again

Booked a table for half past 4 for the carvery, on arrival. Was told was no meat so the carvery was off the menu, then the menu was limited to certain days so I suggest if you choose to come here be prepared for a bowl of chips. We walked out straight away and made our way to the nearest weather spoons.

We stopped there last Saturday night. The food was superb and the waitress on sat night and Sunday morning were both lovely and friendly.

Went there yesterday fri 20th And I must say it was the worst meal I’ve had for many years. I will definitely not be going back there! Spent £11 odd on a terrible curry the nan bread was soggy the popadom was soggy I was really hungry but only managed to to eat about a third of before pushing the plate away My wife had a pizza that was soggy bottomed and basically undercooked she ate even less than me, We went home for dinner instead Being as kind as possible without being over dramatic I give the place 2 out of 10 They had me once they will never have me again.

WILL NOT BE GOING AGAIN! Went there for a meal today,as it was my local previously. Service was appalling. Not welcoming at all had to wait to be seated even though it wasn’t seated so grabbed a drink and there was a fly on the top of my partners pint. Once we had our food, I noticed there was 3 FLIES in the VINEGAR jar on the table so I checked the surrounding 4 tables and all of them was the same with flies in! So I had no choice but to ask for a fresh jar and tell the one waitress there about the flies, to which she didn’t apologise or look just brought me a fresh jar, and left the one with flies on my table and the 5 surrounding tables. There was food debri everywhere under the chairs and seating.

Stayed in the Premier Inn next door, food was ok for the one night as had been a long drive, had issues with the Premier inn Meal deal. breakfast was nothing special.

I am a regular visitor at Victoria Park, The breakfast is amazing always fresh and lots of choice but the service is outstanding! I always seem to bump into Jackie and Mandy and have gotten to know them during my visits. Always very Friendly, Polite and great with the children. These pair really are an asset to the business and breakfast would not be the same without them. Thank you for providing such a great service!

Asked for rare steak, not a spot of pink in it. £4.50 for the tiniest soft play which was also freezing cold due to heaters being broken. Soft play price isn't clearly stated on the website when booking.

Recommended restaurant to visit,staff pleasant and generous portions dished out! Night visits ₩orth a gander. ₩ud recommend rolls and 🥧 to b on sale for those of us needing a quick eat between ₩ork breaks,perhaps?

Just got back home from a lovely breakfast at Brewers. We were greeted by a friendly and happy staff member called Mandy. I had trouble booking online but luckily when we turned up we could get a table. Mandy was very accommodating showing us where everything was and how to order food. She checked in on us twice to make sure everything was ok with our food, which is was! Lots of different options and all so fresh! Its nice to go somewhere with lovely staff members that make you feel welcomed! Nothing was ever an issue when asking questions. My little boy even made a comment on how nice the people were and has asked if we can go back for breakfast again! Thank you very much Mandy and Brewers Fayre!

Food was good, service was slow only one member of staff on bar at the time waited 10 min at bar to order food and drinks as the bartender was serving customers at the bar side. More staff needed (we arrived at 7.30pm).. there were two other floor staff that we seek on but they didn't attempt to serve at the bar even though they wasn't doing much

This place continues to provide great, friendly service at very good prices and I still can't find fault with anything on the menu. It is quickly becoming one of my favourite places to pop into for a quick bite or drink.

Nice place to eat during the week but leave the Sunday lunch alone its not great ...nice atmosphere if its not full of screaming kids running around with little to no supervision from either the parents or staff. Never enough staff at the bar serving drinks or taking food orders

Lovely breakfast here today. Plenty of selection out and food was really nice. Amazing value and kids eat free! Kids eat free until January with adult purchasing a main meal 😋 .. service tonight was quick compared to last week when there was an hour and half wait so we left before ordering .. the play area is good to entertain the kids if you do have to wait bit it does cost £3.50 which is a bit steep . Food was nice. Atmosphere was lovely Booked for fathers day to enjoy a roast I didn't have to cook.. plenty of choice food was lovely .. really good price. Dad's eat free ..

Good tasty breakfast, very strict on cut off times for breakfast which left my visit feeling rushed, will go earlier next time!!!

Tidy enough place for a cheap meal out

Visited today. Welcome by, lads sat outside drinking and swearing, we had our two daughters with us, service was quick and friendly, however looked dark inside bit dated menu was lacking for vegetarians/vegans, needs up dating, may visit again

Perfect spot to take brother in law to for his birthday. No pretentions, standard food. You get what you pay for.

As always the food was microwaved to perfection…… but I would like to send thanks to Mandy, for being perfect in every way. Bubbly, friendly, polite with amazing customer service. All in all Mandy is the only reason that makes this restaurant 5 stars. Keep up the amazing work Mandy. Thanks

lovely cosy atmosphere and very nice people serving when visiting for some food on the Saturday. Unfortunately bought a pint of Coors £4.50 and it had a very sour taste, was offered a replacement by bar staff but there was something off about it all a second one didn’t taste right either. Quite expensive for a bad pint, also had a bbq chicken burger and the brewers dog. The chicken burger was decent but wasn’t fussed on the hot dog (too thick and hard to eat, maybe could do with some onions or something to break it up) Overall quick place to pop in if your peckish, didn’t think there was a lot of food choice personally and the food quality is that of Wetherspoon quality. Don’t think I’d return but have heard the roasts are meant to be good

6 adults fed here today for a late birthday catch up. We had booked but when shown to our table we preferred a different location. We asked to be moved and our request was quickly dealt with. Ordering was quick and easy. Food was great and particularly good value for money. Staff were friendly and attentive. Will definitely return.

Great value food, especially with discount vouchers. No table service unfortunately but food served quite quickly and friendly staff. Ideal if staying next door at Premier Inn.

Slow service and rip off for soft play during half term

Food was nice but was a bit expensive for pub food. Drinks were refillable but costly especially if you didn't need a refill

Love taking my Grandchildren here the play area is brilliant and it's a lovely place to go to entertain the children and the food Is excellent value for money and plenty of it. Great service wonderful friendly staff that are always ready to help in any way I highly recommend Victoria Park it's like home from home I can't praise the staff enough the service here is brilliant 👏 👌

yet another great visit. friendly staff and lovely food. As usual i had no issues booking and the prices were very reasonable.

First time visiting this pub and will definitely be returning. The customer service was first class and the food was cooked well plus piping hot.

The food was good and staff helpful and surroundings are pleasant. This place has grown on me over the years, I enjoy the sunday carvery and the deals which come with the Brewers Fayre card. Wouldn`t come here so much without the deals they send you though.

Visit last week it was half term they where busy , couldn’t fault the service and staff they were brilliant and kids loved the play area, will be going back soon.

February 14th lovely meal .but witnessed a senior member of staff, what looked like work place bullying, a younger member of staff in front of customers, very inappropriate from the senior staff. Shame on you . If the young lady is reading this, dont stand for it and take it further. As we could see you was working very hard on the busy day . Ebbw vale

The food was very very poor after an hours wait

OK if you're not in a hurry. Service was appalling. 40 minutes for the food to be brought out. Then they brought out the wrong meal. So had to wait a further 15 min.

Happy that with no appointment we had a table the main meal was OK but the starter very disappointing we ordered breaded mushrooms with garlic sauce but no garlic whatsoever and the sauce was barbecue. We ate it not to cause a fuss but it did spoil the meal.

The deep fat fryers were not working, so the menu was limited. The food was great, as was the service. Bar and restaurant staff were polite and helpful.

Very large carpark with a Premier Inn next doors. We had a lovely welcome when we arrived and the service was great. We came as a group of 6 and all had the Christmas carvery which was a great choice, good potion of Turkey and beef with large Yorkshire puddings plenty of veg and lovely gravy.

Went today for a birthday meal in total there was 10 of us. We ordered our food starters arrived everything was fine. Then to the mains coming out we had 3 missing. There had been a mix up in the kitchen, the person who took the order at the till hadn't put a meal on. We had 3 popple sat without food the 2 meals that was ordered just unsure on were to go come out quite promptly but the neal for Mt aunty took ages she was left eating by herself! The manager come out to address the situation her attitude was absolutely disgusting she didn't have the time of day and sounded very patronising not one bit of customer service in her she definitely should not be doing the job she is ! Working in hospitality myself I understand things can be tough but it wasn't even a busy night. The only positive I can gibe was out waitress Louise I believe she said her name was absolutely fantastic and could not apologise enough for the experience we had. It wasn't even the fact the order got a little messed up thst we could deal with it was the stinking abrupt attitude that come with the mistake that was the issue ! Can honestly say as a customer that have come plenty of tines for breakfast , dinner and evening meals I probably will not be returning. Sort your managers out absolutely appalling the waitress could of run the place better she was doing the job of 10 people anyway bless her.

Great staple pub for food and location when staying in area. Staff welcoming and food great from breakfast to carverys.

Stayed at the premier inn 29th dec till the 1st January. Arrived on the friday, my husband had a bacon cheeseburger didn’t look right or taste good he ended up being extremely poorly during the night! We asked for a cocktail of the festive menu and tasted absolutely vile something wrong with the lemonade told them we wanted something different which was fine. The Saturday was there most the day the manager Claire, had attitude! Booked in for 5:30 on New Year’s Eve had the carvery ordered 2 kids meals at 5:50 come 18:40 still hadn’t arrived chased it up and apparently lost the tickets 😡 not once did a member of staff come and ask if everything was ok with our carvery’s my son is autistic so struggles to understand why it was taking so long! Asked for the manager Claire twice before she would come over! We also over heard her slating another customer! The only waitress who was extremely helpful was Lois he went out of her way to make my children had there meals pretty quickly and offered them a free pudding! Arrived for breakfast New Year’s Day having already paid for breakfast the meal deal the day before and wanting to charge again! Absolutely shocking management who couldn’t care less! Will think twice about going back again!

Food was great, the mac and cheese bites in particular. The restaurant was clean and the staff are very helpful and respectful, making our visit amazing!

Food was average, ate carvery and the meat was ok. Roasties were dry and veg not great. Gravy was basic. Most of the surfaces were sticky or greasy and urinal walls were urine soaked wood. Service was also slow

It was alright. A lazy review I know. Any other day than a Sunday after the carvery was closed. Then the festive menu would have been ok. But all turkey products were gone. The venue is alright

On arrival evening staff very rude and insisted on over charging for drink and food intotal £30 which was hard to get back.the manger was not interested and bar staff incaperble of using a calculator CHECK YOUR BILL

Dont go here! We were not greeted for 2-3mins & when we were it was not very friendly, was not asked where we would like to sit despite it being nearly empty. Stuck in a corner by a pillar which was barely enough room for four of us & wasn't comfortable despite 4 spacious window tables being available throughout our entire visit, it was baffling, why not sit guests by the window it makes the place look far more welcoming. Ordered at the bar & got four over priced refillable drinks, lemonade tasted a bit strange, diet coke poured clear, went back to bar asked for a diet coke & informed them of the syrup issue. Was given a incredibly thick syrupy regular coke despite the staff member asking was it diet as she was pressing the button on the dispenser, so gave up and poured a fanta myself as there was one member of staff serving the bar, food & welcoming new customers/asking them to wait for the greeter to emerge every 5-10mins, I just couldn't queue again it was too agonising & she looked overwhelmed & ready to just quit despite it being pretty quiet. Waited so long for food needed a second round of refills, the lemonade syrup had also run out so tried diet coke again but after almost a hour they still hadn't replaced it went back to the bar reminded them of the syrup for both coke & lemonade again & got a bunch of weird tasting lemonade from the bar it was just terrible also the ice was out of order, they just can't get the basics right. Then the food... service was slow, food was terrible & pretty basic, my girlfriends Turkey dinner was burnt & my beef pie barely had any filling, wasn't very warm & came with just some basic fries on the side & the worse watery gravy I've had, it was like granuals gravy. No one came to ask us how the food was. Then the person serving cleared four tables around us while we were clearly finished and had stacked our plates on the end of the table. There was no other customers there at this point around 3pm. We waited at least 30mins for plates to be cleared before we lost patience and asked for them to be cleared & to have our desserts which we ordered at the bar previously to save time queuing again. The staff clearly are not trained properly on the order of service & the staff themselves I don't think have ever been to a restaurant or understand the service industry... or maybe they just don't care. Desserts were pretty basic too, tasteless and small with clearly no care in preparation & were definitely not freshly made. I went to get one last drink but predictably the lemonade & the coke syrups had still not been replaced. I was not queuing at the bar for 5-10mins again, this is so bad, I'm paying more to serve myself then inconvenienced even more to do that every time. Either its complete incompetence or the staff are just not trained on how to keep the place running or the manager just quit that day, I don't know but if it's how it is regularly, they won't have any returning customers. I heard other customers also complaining about the lemonade taste & not realising it's a syrup issue, pretty much every customer would of had a issue with drinks which extended the bar queue which just made the experience terrible. We left before we seen another member of staff it was like a ghost town in there. They have a Christmas tree but no music or atmosphere or staff its absolutely terrible in every possible way including the glowing gambling machines in the corner next to the bar & the lonely men drinking alone. Urgh who would want to come here with their kids? It was not a fun or nice place to have a family get together. On the plus side there was parking available I guess... We will never return. I'd highly recommend the Willow Tree in Brynmawr as an alternative it's slightly more expensive but they have friendly staff proper table service & a great atmosphere. Plus the food is amazing! Brewers fayre just don't care about their customers, their food, their staff or their business. Worst experience I've had in many years & everyone just seems oblivious of all the failings.

Sunday carvery poor tasteless food. We also had our food served on kids plates not what we paid for the food was just going everywhere. Also just had one person on carvery and tills que was massive. Not a good relaxing experience

What an absolutely excellent staff team at Brewers Fayre. We went at lunch time on a Tuesday and the place was very busy - the staff coped so well with this and rather than rushing they took time to speak to guests, check everything was okay and always said thank you to coming to guests leaving. The barman took a while with my drink (it was a new cocktail) and apologised twice - there was no need, but it was appreciated. The food came out quickly and was lovely and hot. I ordered a two course menu (great value for £14.99) and the pudding I ordered was vegan - I didn't realise and this wasn't a problem, but the server went back and added cream on and said if I did not like the vegan ice cream that she would change it. Nothing was too much bother for this staff team and they are a true credit to Brewers Fayre and we will return because we were made to feel so welcome. Thank you and keep up the good work.

Really an hit and miss place . Its our place to go with the children but omg such different experiences, ranges from good food lovely food to ok food just about edable food and completely rude staff. Customer service don't come easy to many that work there such a shame really .

Fab place. Clean, tidy food was fab. Too many out of control children although they have a separate eat/play area for them. It spoiled our visit tbh.

My family quite often comes here, but today especially the team went absolutely above and beyond for my 4 year old! He ordered his food and asked for eleventy thousand sausages🙈🤣 for the lady serving us to come back to our table to say she asked to give him extra sausages because he was so good. Then afterwards the ice machine was broke so he went up to a gentleman working and told him, for the man to go get him some ice and brought him a whole jug full! To some it might not mean much, but to myself and my 4 year old it made our absolute day!! Definitely 1000% recommend here, absolutely lively food but even better staff! Thank you!!

Fantastic first visit, pleasant staff, excellent food at excellent prices, we will be back! Sunday carvery is absolutely delicious 😋 can also recommend the chicken and ham pie with cheesy crust, absolutely packed with delicious filling and a tasty cheese topping 😋😋

It's a brewers fayre chain so same ole same ole but Tue food is excellent. Always Well cooked great quality meats but every one I go in the tables are always sticky. Well worth a visit. Mixed grill is beautiful and the prices are reasonable also.

A very well run pub/ restaurant. Great service even though there are few staff. All food was perfect.

My experience was very poor. Our carvery service was ok firstly there was about half a turkey u carved. I went to order two adult carvery and 1 child.i was told the turkey was all ordered. I then started to look at the menu to be informed as long as I just wanted turkey we could have the carvery. Went to the bar to order desserts two came after a bit of a wait. Waited approx half an hour then asked where are desserts were. They were sundaes. The young girl did apologise for the delay. However on looking at the dessert which cost 5.95 I and my husband had only half a glass full. The rest of thevdessert was whipped cream. Apparently the dessert was made to brewers fayre specifications. I would say don't bother having a dessert. Go to.Marks and Spencers and get a selection of cakes.Anyway took the desserts back to the bar was offered a refund and more desserts. I thought fair play. Oh no the manger then o er ruled this offer we could have one or the other. I explained that's not what I had been offered. I was informed with a straight facethe computer lost my order. The desserts were ordered and paid for at the same time so this does not make sense to me. Also don't offer me something you have no authority to do so. What really got to me was the scarastic farewell not once but twice. What you don't know is my son heard what your comments when you were in the kitchen. I really would not recommend this place to anyone. Yes I was assertive but at no point did I shout or kick off.Go to the local cafe or Morgans you will get a far better service and better food and service

If I could leave no stars I would awful started great until cold food was served then left waiting for the kids ice and Brownie for half an hour not even busy. And yet the Brownie was hard and stone cold. Never coming back

Popped in as a group of 7, 3 of which were under 7s,. Ordered food and drinks but unfortunately after 45 minutes no food. Money had been taken but a system glitch meant the food order didn't reach the kitchen. Refund eventually in the food but the lady dealing with the complaint lacked any customer service skills. Very poor on a not overly busy Saturday lunch service.

We met family here as the play area worked for the children in tow. We had a meal and chatted, relaxed and the staff were super friendly. The toilets could do with the locks being sorted in the ladies but overall a cheap and cheerful place to eat and entertain the kids.

Had a party for 10 family members for my daughters 16th birthday.. Sunday lunch was lovely all staff was fantastic.. big thanks to Logan who looked after us.. he couldn't do enough for us all..

The food was good but nothing amazing. The atmosphere was also quite pleasant, but the attitude from the manager this morning (14/08/23) was disgusting. Telling me that they wouldn't usually give refunds. Why the hell would me and my partner order 4 refillable drinks for just the 2 of us. I'm no mathematician, but it doesn't seem to add up. Idiots.

We go now again, normal chain pub food but ok if you need something quick
