Vermicelli Restaurant in Wandsworth

Confused by the positive reviews. The bread basket was the best bit of our meal. I have never had such bad gnocchi. It was like eating little pieces of plastic. Gnocchi should be soft and fluffy. And my friends were not impressed by their dishes. Our service was terrible. The staff either seemed to ignore us or be confused why they were there. I also don’t like it when staff try (in this case basically force) you to leave good reviews at the end of your meal. Much better places to have pasta/Italian in London!

Excellent quality Italian with delicious and well-put together, flavoursome dishes! I had the Casarecce and my friend had the Pappardelle. Both tasted incredible! The ingredients tasted fresh and the combination of the ingredients in the dish were paired together so well! The Pappardelle in particular, with the combo of Beef Shin ragu and bone marrow tasted incredible! Only issue was that it was warm when served and it could’ve been served a bit hotter(heat). I would highly recommend this restaurant if you’re looking for top quality, delicious Italian 🇮🇹 food! I will definitely be visiting again. Service was friendly and fast.

The food was amazing and really good value, esspecally for london with mains from £8. They brought us over a little appetiser on the house which was very nice and my main of pappardelle was incredible.

Like being in Italy even if it’s a cold February evening. The food is outstanding, every pasta dish is delicious and the tiramisu was perfect. Can’t recommend enough.

Wow - lugar perfecto con una excelente cocina para hacer una noche de súper cita. Mi pareja y yo tuvimos la suerte de ganar una comida para 2 en IG para la competencia navideña de Vermicelli, que se canjeará en enero. El restaurante era un espacio acogedor y cálido para entrar desde las tormentas de invierno de Londres, y pudimos seleccionar nuestra propia mesa en un lugar acogedor. La comida era 10 / 10 - especialmente los entrantes. Grandes porciones, excelentes salsas y sin escatimar en la calidad de los ingredientes. Nuestro camarero era muy amable y servicial, nada era demasiado problema. Recomiendo encarecidamente el fondant de chocolate para el pudín - una verdadera delicia indulgente para culminar una comida maravillosa. Gracias equipo Vermicelli - no podemos esperar a volver!

Una sorpresa muy agradable. El restaurante se encuentra en Market y el ambiente en este lugar es fantástico. Los platos eran muy sabrosos que van desde mejillones hasta probablemente el mejor Tiramisu que he probado. Lo recomiendo a todos los aficionados a la comida italiana y mediterránea. Ganamos un vale para una comida aquí. La calidad de la pasta es increíble - especialmente la pappardelle maravillosamente delgada! Las salsas eran muy sabrosas y el servicio tan amable. Las porciones son muy generosas y (aunque no estábamos pagando en esta ocasión) los precios son notablemente baratos y buena relación calidad-precio. Todo el mercado tiene un ambiente turbio - estaremos de vuelta! Gracias.

Awful experience. Brought over 2 of the same type of pasta when we’d ordered different ones. Fine, mistakes can happen. But just walked off as though nothing had happened, barely an apology or eye contact. A rushed pasta dish cold and hard turned up on my plate 10 minutes later. £30 for two teenie pasta dishes.

El mercado con su oferta de ropa, cosas y café durante el día se convierte en un oasis de comida y alcohol alrededor del fin de semana. Vermicelli fue una gran experiencia. Fuera camarera fue con la corriente, colgado hacia atrás cuando estábamos absortos en la conversación y atendido cuando era necesario. El entrante - setas líquidas y croquetas de patata eran sabrosas y un plato entre 2 era aproximadamente correcto. La red principal era excepcional y en £ 13. 50 y 14 libras. 50 mucho menos que en un lugar independiente. Tenía papadelle con ragout de ternera - trozos de carne suave con hebras caseras de pasta de huevo. Mi amigo tenía rigatoni casero con carne de salchicha de hinojo - excepcionalmente sabroso. Y como floritura innecesaria al final teníamos sorbete de limón y le echamos limoncello encima (habiendo sacado primero un baño en el sorbete). La cuenta con un cóctel, una copa de vino y 2 cervezas con servicio era de £ 88 - Tuvimos mucho y eso fue una buena relación calidad-precio. Recomendado.

Este es un pequeño restaurante italiano encantador que ofrece comida realmente sabrosa y auténtica a precios asequibles, teniendo en cuenta que es Londres.

Very nice food but the chef with glasses and bandana was very rude with terribel attitude. Would have given it a 5 but unfortunately due to terrible unwelcoming service gets a 3 to be fair.

First time @ Vermicelli. Certainly lives up to its reputation. Excellent food. Great service. Will be back.

Great pasta and arancini with excellent service

📍 Not worth the hype. 📍 Some dishes have really small portions, some are bigger. Stuff we bought was too small. 📍 Def not cheap. 📍 Pasta was a little too dry and the pistachio pesto pasta didnt have as much pistachio as it has on Instagram/Google maps photos.

By far the best Italian restaurant in London. This is truly a hidden gem. My friend, my daughter and I were randomly walking in this market and saw some of the plates while other people were eating and this was the busiest place in the market. We decided to give it a try and what a wonderful experience, service, ambience and food was impressive. The prices even better. I never go twice to the same place while on vacation but I was dying to go back here again and didn’t get the chance. Thank you very very much

Great tasty pasta, good portions and good lunch time deal. My only suggestion to management is to please offer some greens like spinach, tenderstem broccoli or peas to be added on the side or to the pasta dishes. Pasta dishes have hardly any vegetables.

Came in on Sunday with my husband and 2 kids, really enjoyed the food. It was busy but service was great, staff were very attentive and kind. Staff stayed professional during a confrontation with another customer and I was very impressed with the customer service. Will definitely be back!

My first time here! A good menu with a variety of pasta dishes! I had the Tagliatelle with mussels, prawns, tomato and just the right amount of chilli. One of nicest pasta dishes I've had in ages.

Me and my friends came in on a friday night, service was great, food was even better and very reasonably priced. Was even given a complimentary round of shots! Thanks guys, will be back 💗

Very good pasta, nice sauces and amazing amount of beef in my main. Starters were decent and getting them in the lunch deal meant it was brilliant value for what we got seating is in the market so not the most amazing aptmosphere.

Visited Vermicelli for their "Free Pasta on Tuesdays (August)" offer. Amazing food at a really reasonable price—got mussels for just £8.50, which is super cheap for London these days. All the pasta is freshly made. I’d happily come back!

Great little gem in Tooting market - Cyprian was an amazing server. Made a special order up for my dog alongside my meal (as I’d foolishly forgotten to pack her dinner) - great food and fantastic service. Will be back!

Tonight, I visited this deceptive restaurant. I ordered a £12 carbonara, but when it came time to pay, the waiter tried to charge me £22. When I asked why there was an extra £10, the waiter said it was a service fee. If you dine at this restaurant, make sure to double-check your bill.

Tried to charge us the full sevice charge for the whole table multiple times when splitting the bill. Make sure to check your receipt before paying.

We went yesterday with their free Pasta on Tuesdays offer. The food was really nice and loved that they were not in a rush to kick you out - they were busy so everything was a little slower. But tbh it wasn't an issue they were all lovely and the food was amazing. Unfortunately due to living an hour's drive away we may not return, but if they ever open one in West London then we will definitely go again

The food looked great when it came out but unfortunately was pretty bland and could have done with some salt. It was super busy so the service was pretty slow.

Me and my friend absolutely loved our visit - we just wished we had more stomach space for the lovely menu! Absolutely wholeheartedly recommend their buffalo mozzarella and heritage tomatoes and mushroom croquettes! Spoilt for choice really with their pastas too!

I popped here for lunch today (Tuesday) and it was a delightful place. I had the set menu which was a starter, main and drink (can) for £13. I went fie the arancini to start which came on a blue cheese sauce and it was delicious. Up there with the best I’ve had. I then had the tagliatelle which was also very tasty. Had a little kick to it because of the nduja sausage sauce. Service was friendly and efficient albeit I was the only one there but it is the hottest day of the year and the whole market was quiet. I bet this place packs out in the evenings. While I ate a chef was preparing food to the side which added to the atmosphere of my meal which I liked. Really liked the decor too for such a small place. So food was great, I recommend it.

Excellent Italian in midst of Tooting market. The Arancini are as authentic and delicious as you would find in Sicily. Had the nduja pasta which was cooked al dente with a piquante flavour. Again delicious. Service was excellent. Definitely on the list for a revisit for either lunch, which we had on this occasion, or dinner

The croquettes with gorgonzola cream were excellent!!! The pasta is homemade, the service was welcoming. On the whole a very nice evening.

Was very excited to try this restaurant but it fell short of expectation. My wife ordered the seafood tagliatelle and I ordered the Rigatoni with fennel sausage. Both were bang average. My rigatoni was soooo salty and terribly tasting couldn’t finish it and I always finish a good pasta! My wife’s tagliatelle was just tomato sauces, no herbs or flavour. The truffle burrata for starter was poor too. Overall disappointing experience

Really lovely meal on Sunday afternoon, with my wife and our three year old. Mo and the team went the extra mile to make our daughter happy- even dashing out to get some marshmallows when our daughter asked randomly for a babychino with them in… which was entirely unnecessary but really kind. The food was great- good portion size and the carbonara I had was really well balanced.

We were served by the lovely Moamen who was absolutely fantastic, very attentive and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great time. The food was also brilliant - would reallt recommend the sausage and fennel pasta and the tiramisu. We will definitely be back! 😊

Love this place! I live in west London and we have made the journey to Tooting multiple times just for this. Moamen is such a great host and serves limoncello on the house! Definitely would recommend to anyone looking for good service and good pasta in south London.

We had a fantastic meal at Vermicelli’s. My parents were visiting from Wales and wanted to try something in the market and we were so glad we chose Vermicelli’s. The food was incredible, fresh and tasty and the friendly service really made the night so memorable, particularly Moamen who went above and beyond to ensure we had a brilliant meal. I cannot wait to come back and would highly recommend the restaurant to authentic pasta lovers

Amazing food, and probably the nicest staff I’ve encountered at any restaurant in London. Immediately offered to make me a (very delicious) mocktail when they realised I was pregnant, and we also got a surprise dessert on the house for my birthday. Will definitely be back to try the other pasta dishes because they all looked amazing.

First time here, basic pasta nothing special, Good service, and sensible price 20-30 per head, 2 starter , 2 pasta, and drink, the restaurant in side the topping market, only one I like Burrata tomatoes

Cute and cosy restaurant located in one of the market places in Tooting Broadway. The staff are friendly and make you feel welcomed and not rushing you to order and really nice and talkative. Good selection of pasta on the menu and they also do lunch time specials as well. Personally I really enjoyed the starter and wish I had ordered a few more things there.

Convinced the reviews are fake because our food was not good at all. The service was good though.. - Bread basket - Very cold. As if the bread had been sitting in a freezer. The crust was actually also really tough. - Buffalo mozzarella with heritage tomatoes, basil & balsamic dressing = Very very cold and not much flavour. - Arancini - tomato and mozzarella on blue cheese sauce - Just tasted weird. There was also barely any mozzarella. - Smoked salmon, prawns & spicy capers pasta - The pasta was too salty and the prawns were tasteless. - Mussels, tiger prawns, chillies and tomato tagliatelle - The mussels tasted off, the pasta was undercooked and definitely not fresh, and the prawns were tough and tasteless.

Food was lovely however took a long time to come out. However would come back to try more of their interesting menu
