Poor- in this age of allergies I'd expect any company to be able to cater for a nut allergy. The staff said that there were no nuts, I had to explain pistachio and hazelnuts are nuts. I asked if they could open a new gelato and use a clean scoop and they blanket said no in front of my son. Discrimination and ignorance at its height.

Until you have tried it, you simply cannot believe it. Very simple, firstly it's served at a slightly higher temperature and secondly the water content is lower. Both enhance the flavour. Seating rather limited, but most customers are happy to eat on the hoof. Hayling Seagoon

I visited Venchi – South Kensington branch on Friday 5 April and as I was eating my ice cream, I found a DEAD FLY nestled within the lemon flavoured scope. This lapse in standards of hygiene is unacceptable and deeply concerning. What was even more distressing was the response I received from the supervisor of the store when I brought the matter to his attention. Rather than addressing the issue, he was extremely rude, and shockingly unapologetic. Horrendous experience - never again.

What a treat, until you have sampled Gelato you cannot believe how superior it is to Ice Cream. Less water and served at a slightly higher temperature - both enhance the flavour. Do NOT walk past this venue - heavenly. Hayling Seagoon

Visited today for a treat with my 94 years old grandmother only to be humiliated by a young female staff ( Shiwani): I was queuing for 15 minutes outside while she was pretending being busy inspecting the shelves or checking on napkins. When a young man was pulled from the back of the que and served the ice cream just because his wife was paying to another cash point. I did ask if she can take orders as well thinking the que would be operational and my grandmother or other mothers with children could be served efficiently instead of waiting in the cold, she said that’s unfair….Absolutely stunned by her attitude and lack of manners!!!!! But Venchi should train their staff if parent’s could not deliver any basic manners! I would have left on the spot , but couldn’t break my grandma’s heart ( she does love your ice cream!), but I will never get any chocolates ever from you. It takes time to build a brand as old as yours, but one’s attitude can loose it… Absolutely not worth the waiting, the price tag or experience whe n round the corner Oddono’s gelato can deliver better!

Di solito sono un estimatore dei prodotti Venchi, e in particolare del cioccolato, ma devo dire che questa gelateria di South Kensington non mi ha convinto granché. Indubbiamente, non posso dire che il gelato fosse di scarsa qualità, ma abbastanza sotto gli standard generali di Venchi, ma di certo non ho riscontrato lo stesso livello che ho trovato in Italia. Un po' deludente, ma sufficiente. Di certo si può migliorare.

Kids loved the gelato from here. Good range of flavours and authentic Italian ice cream. Is a nice experience watching it being made from the window as well. And the staff were friendly and patient. A bit pricey but worth it every now and again.

One of the best gelatos my wife and I have ever tasted - a must visit! Great location too. We opted for the choc hazelnut and tiramisu.

We have visited with the purchase of a specific product in mind : the pistachio chocolate. I have been gifted one of the mixed boxes and found this particular one sublime so I went looking to buy it. For us, it feels like the best pistachio chocolate that we have ever tried. We have not tried the gelato, hence giving it a 4*.

First point - this gelato is pricey. Second point - this gelato is worth every penny. It is an indulgent treat and the flavours tried (Mango sorbet, strawberry sorbet, Nougatine and Pistachio) were all spot on. We ordered at the window and made use of the small outside seating area. Service was excellent. Portion size was decent (my wife could not finish her medium size cup). I have tried gelato in many different places in Italy and I highly recommend trying Venchi for great quality, authentic gelato.

I love gelato so jumped at the chance to try some when I noticed this place while walking past. Had a scoop of the coffee gelato and it was really really good. Amazingly strong coffee taste and the texture was really creamy. Highly recommend if you like good gelato!

I love Venchi, whether in Italy or when I'm in London. Wonderful flavours and so velvety, it is worth the queue. Luckily this time there was no queue (due to Covid) so even better!

Ok a cold wet eve of Storm Dennis getting dark maybe not the ideal time to sit outdoors eating cones but I was desperate.Id heard this brand is the best in Venice. However was disappointed.Service was chaotic divided between inside and outside all at the same time. They were nearly out of Stracahhli and Piedmont Hazelnut. it seemed to take an inordinately long time to get the attention of the servitor, There was an overall atmosphere of it having been worn to the bone due to all the throughput of tourists. Very small salon with no where to sit as full of kids Eventually I succeeded in scoring a cone the ice cream tasted rather banal. Pretty industrialised without biting flavours. Ive had better as more obscure ones in Soho. Three mouthfuls and it was gone. id hardly known Id had it. I then got the mother of all belly aches though whether this was down to the ice cream or a a greasy sausage roll I brought from Harrods I wouldn't like to say. Beautiful ice cream in a coconut chocolate cone! The lady who served us was very helpful and kind. The flavours were so creamy and very decadent. £7 for 3 scoops but well worth it!

Great gelato. I had dark cocoa flavour and hazelnut flavour, the cocoa one was dense and rich, the hazelnut one was light but flavourful - and there were actually hazelnuts in it.
