Vegan Shack in Manchester

I recently discovered that Vegan Shack do Shake of the Month- this time around, it was Birthday Cake! It had a vanilla flavour, with strawberry sauce and sprinkles. Yay!

I don’t like very much vegan fast-food, but this was quite a nice surprise. We had “chicken” salad and a burger: the portions were small but tasty enough. The salad in particular was better than other vegan salads I’ve tried elsewhere! The staff was nice and prices ok. It’s ok for a to go meal!

My boyfriend and I visited Vegan Shack during a weekend in Manchester. We visited on our way to the station for our train home, and is very conveniently placed for this kind of visit. We arrived just after they opened for breakfast, and the restaurant was very clean and staff friendly. The breakfast muffins and hash browns were delicious and we couldn't fault them. A really good option for vegans wanting a "fast food" style meal, such as that provided at McDonalds. Really impressed with the place and wish we had one closer to home.

Although the vegan food was very nice I had a bad impression of the staff who work there, they come across unfriendly, not caring and quite insensitive. They seem indifferent and not customer focused. They work in mechanical manner and don't make customers feel good, the manager comes across very abrupt when approached and doesn't listen to customers needs. All members of staff could do with customer care training and lesson on empathy.

The title says it all...this shake was incredible. Well worth the £6. I'm making it my mission to go back and try them all.

We found this place after looking for somewhere with a good vegetarian/vegan burger. So many choices and they tasted amazing! It’s a typical fast food type set up in terms of basic furniture etc as to be expected, but service and food so good! Fries portion very generous, we ordered a portion each and barely had any!

Not overly impressed, would’ve given a 3 star however due to the amazing peanut butter shake, I’ll give them a 4. Firstly, I would not visit again due to the fact that they wouldn’t accept cash. In 2023 I think it’s absolutely ridiculous that they won’t accept money. Secondly, the furniture was very outdated and some of the chairs even broken. The food itself was good for fast food, I had the chicken strips with chips and sauce which was okay. The peanut butter milkshake was to die for. Absolutely unreal. Over all, very average. However I’m happy to see more vegan restaurants.

I popped in here for a quick work lunch to take back to the office. I’m a vegetarian and have tried lots of these types of places and this one was top tier. The chicken and batter was great, the perfect kind of fast food taste. The chips were spiced and really nice too (you get so many with the lunch portion - I couldn’t finish them all!). Great lunch deal including drink for £7.

Great food - not your typical vegan fast food options. The chicken sandwich was flavorful and beyond the offerings of BK and others. Soft serve ice cream a real treat. The staff was very friendly and service quick

I forgot to take pictures of the food cause I was hungry. Pancakes were amazing. The lunch menu looked really good as they used beyond meat. Seemed envro friendly. However need to get rid of using plastic cups and utensils please. Prices super cheap but happy to pay a little more. Small little place. Friendly staff

Amazing place!! One of the best vegan take away places. Recommended all burgers are amazing! Took as breakfast and also Dinner definatley a place to visit and try out their burgers!

Called in for my dinner on way to work. My debit card wasn't scanning so had to put in the machine. The machine was a big screen attached to the desk so firstly it wasn't private at all when putting pin in. It was that far away I was almost climbing the counter to reach. The food and service was not the best

Went here with a group of friends and I can say it definitely didn’t disappoint! Can’t wait to see Vegan Shack become a chain. These guys deserve it and absolutely love their story.Staff are lovely and the food is absolutely the best vegan junk food in Manchester!

I was excited to visit for the first time but definitely won’t be going back. Their menu looks impressive and the prices make you think the food would be good quality but it’s not. My chicken burger stunk of plastic, maybe because of how the buns had been packaged? There was no seasoning in the chicken batter and I couldn’t even eat more than 2 bites. My partners Shack Burger came with only 1 patty instead of 3 and we had to ask for it to be changed. When it arrived it tasted bland and looked a mess, no effort or love put into the burger toppings or sauce and looked nothing like their photos online. For £36 total this place is a rip off. How is it so popular when Frost Burgers is just around the corner?! Their burgers actually taste good and are worth the money. The decor here is terrible and there’s no atmosphere, people queuing everywhere, hardly any places to sit apart from hard wooden stools and the service is unbelievably slow.

We had the loaded fries and they were unbelievably good. We also had the chickn nuggets and they were also amazing. Definitely recommend this great little place!

Chips were hot and really nicely seasoned. 'Fish' was one of the best substitutes I've had. Staff are lovely too

Regularly visit here as it’s my favourite fast food place in Manchester. The staff are always really friendly and welcoming. Love the music and the vibe in the shop, a really nice place to sit and eat lunch. Went in for my dinner today and the food just gets better and better every time I visit. Highly recommend the bbq strip burger!

I visited you recently for my lunch and the girl behind the counter was just really rude. When I asked questions about the menu she was really snarky The food was also pretty bad Won't be visiting again
