Valley’s Spice Indian Restaurant & Takeaway in Blaenau Gwent

Had a takeaway tonight and I have to say it was probably the worst food I have tried in a long time. Would I recommend you? Absolutely not, would I use you again? Absolutely not

Visited last night for Wednesday night £15 menu excellent value, the food and service was also excellent

1st time, and food was absolutely beautiful, staff was very helpful in ordering the right dishes. Will definitely be ordering again.

They have big parking lot facilities

Nice little restaurant, we were a group of 6, pre booked a table on a Saturday night for 7.30. There we 2 other groups in the restaurant and plenty of space for walk ins. We ordered drinks and poppadoms after arriving around 7.15pm, they took our food order about 1/2 hour later. We had to flag the waiter down for extra drinks and chased our food order up after around an hour of waiting. Not the best in that aspect. However the Saagwala I had was lovely, and the tikka masala. The pasanda and sag paneer was very sweet. The curry’s were not hot but tasty and I would eat here again but be more prepared to wait.

Great curry house, friendly staff and nice Cobra on draught. Loved the Lamb Tikka Kharai and the Peshwari Naan, plus Saag Paneer were excellent. Will defo go again next time staying in the area.

I hate leaving a bad review, we use this place all time for a delivery and the food I have to say is amazing, but the last twice I have to say poor service, last time chutney trays missing, time before over charged and only fact my mrs added it up we realised which they refunded on next meal, and tonight 34quid on a take away to get home and all food smashed in bottom of bag, rang up and promised a new meal and still sat here nearly 2 and half hours later no food and no update, will I use again not at all. Food: 5/5 | Service: 1/5 | Atmosphere: 2/5

Best Indian food in South Wales

3rd time to dine at this restaurant and I've always had a positive experience. I intend to use again.

We were glad we chose this restaurant. Our meal of samosas, chicken tiki mango, and a spinach dish was Aplus. Very clean, extensive menu, open every day of the week!

Had various dishes from this place and I have to say it’s the best Indian around in fact best in south wales from taste temperature and presentation ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ and the staff are very accommodating I was originally ordering via justeat and got advised to place my order simply by phoning up I now save £6 on every order 👌😊 would definitely recommend!!

I have seen all reviews and went for dinner… I was sooo disappointed with the place. 1)poor customer service- only one member taking order for takeaway, eat in and serving food. 2)Hygiene- fingerprints on clean serving plate. Bugs were flying on the food while we eat. 3)food- waited 30 min for starter… which was nothing but oil soggy pakoda and samosa. For main course waited more than one hour. And food was not so looking good in taste and in presentation. I am requesting owner of the restaurant,to provide proper training to their staff..please focus on the customer who is present in your restaurant, not only take away orders. It could be someone’s special day and it can be ruined by these kind of service. For vegetarian i wont recommend this place. I am not sure about non vegetarian items.

I’m a seasoned curry eater and tried some of the best curry houses around the country. The lamb Nagachi is absolutely incredible. Noticed it when I dined in and consistently good on several takeaways later. Great to have a good curry house in Ebbw vale and hope the new owners get well supported. 5 stars from me and highly recommend trying the Nagachi.

Had a family birthday celebration 23rd August 23. Banquet Night. The food was amazing. The staff were excellent, friendly and helpful and a wonderful night was had by all. It was a set menu with lots of choices and you could add and pay extra for your needs.

Lovely Indian restaurant 😋. Had a lovely meal here and everything so fresh and tasty. Lovely and clean. Great choice of food and drinks. Only one thing was the toilet door for the disabled had no lock on it. Other than that it was perfect.

Had a great takeaway meal last night. Each dish was really tasty and distinct. Collected it and the staff were lovely. They gave us a free bottle of coke. Highly recommend.

If you're ever in Ebbw Vale and fancy a great curry, then this is the place to go. The food was just delicious and the staff were lovely.

I use this restaurant regularly and it’s always exceptional but they went above and beyond for my birthday a few days ago. 5 of us had a takeaway and it was literally perfect. I’ve been eating curries for 30 years, lived/worked/visited big city areas where there’s so much competition. These guys match and exceed those levels regularly at much better value. Me and a friend spent a fortune at Asha in central Birmingham and it was lovely, we spent half that in Valleys Spice and fed 3 extra people with no reduction in quality. The owners also support local sports teams and good causes. What’s not to like?

One of the nicest Indian meals I’ve had in a long time. Very friendly and attentive staff. Excellent quality food, really good value for money. Really recommend this restaurant.

We went to Valleys Spice on Saturday for my birthday treat. We were greeted with a very friendly welcome. The service was very good and the food was very tasty. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Had the nagachi curry. It was delicious and spicy. My friends also really enjoyed their meals, so I'd highly recommend them.

My boyfriend and I went here after going to the owl sanctuary and we couldn’t have made a better choice for food! I ordered something that wasn’t on the menu and it was absolutely phenomenal. The staff were friendly and very accommodating, & the facilities were clean. The lighting in the restaurant gave a really fun feel too! Overall it was a great experience and we will be back!

It was the best curry I've had in the last 8 years. The food was excellent, well cooked but not dry. Service was great so would definitely recommend. We had the restaurant to ourselves and had a great night.

Although the curries were delicious, the half tandoori chicken turned out to be 2 legs with no side salad which we normally get at other Indian restaurants. We also expected a couple of free poppadoms after spending £56. Would use again though.

Had a lovely meal this week, we were a party of 12 and no one had anything bad to say it was fantastic and probably the best garlic and corriander nans I've ever tasted. Would highly recommend

I had a takeaway delivered from Valley's Spice last night and - WOW!! I ordered online - Chicken Tikka Dupiaza, Keema Fried Rice & Chips. I requested the Dupiaza as Madras hot via the 'Comments' box on the online order page and, sure enough, they increased the spice level for me (so many times in the past when using online order forms these requests are ignored with other takeaways). This was one of the best Dupiaza's I have ever had - the sauce was bursting with flavour and there was not a drop of grease to be found. The Chicken Tikka was also delicious and tender - you can taste the tandoor oven, I love Keema Rice and theirs was also top notch. Delivery was prompt and the curry and rice is packaged in tin foil cartons which I always prefer as it keeps the food hot - not luke warm. I can't praise this Restaurant / Takeaway enough and the portion sizes are very generous - great value for money and the service I received was faultless. I'll be taking a friend for a sit-down meal at the restaurant in the next couple of weeks and I can't wait!!! Thank you Valley's Spice & keep up the good work!!!

Our 2nd curry since the new owners have taken over. Unbelievable Chicken Tikka Nagachi plus many other dishes. To me you can tell by the rice, and the Pilau was exceptional. So pleased to have this premium offering available to us in Ebbw. Amazing staff and the best quality food. Use them or lose them.

Had a Chicken Curry with Pilau Rice and Naan bread and the flavours just hit that sweet spot, the service was professional and quick. All washed down with a couple of Cobras my favourite lager and I'll sleep like a baby Thanks guys! 👍
