Valentinis in East Renfrewshire

Can not fault this chippy the food is always cooked to perfection n the pizza’s a delicious + the staff are always cheerful even when the place is really busy..it’s my go to.

I find the manager very intimidating. In general. I got a chicken supper, which I shared with my friend. We were both ill n when I foned to complain. He was horrible. The way he spoke to me was disgusting n told me no way was I getting ny money back. I want to go higher but don't no who to contact. I will find out n take this further. This is far from over

Hands down best chippy in the Mearns. Been going for the last 15+ years and wouldn’t go anywhere else. Food quality is excellent, always prepared to a high standard & made in a timely manner. Staff are always so helpful and friendly - in person & ordering over the phone. Great price for what you get aswell.

Again we received 10/10 meals! Probably the best fish we have received from any chip shop-nice and fresh! Fresh hot chips! Friendly staff! Wouldn’t go anywhere else!!!

We order from Valentinis every week. Sometimes twice per week. Their special fish is great and pizzas are delicious. Pizza toppings are not great value for money. We often order onion and black olives. The sliced onion topping is an extra 1.60 and the olives circa 2.00. Seriously Considering ordering Margherita and finishing off at home with topping. Mostly we order special fish suppers. These normally come with a sachet of tartar sauce and we often order pickled onions as an extra. Sadly, tonight the pickled onions we bought and paid for were not added to our order. Also, the server forgot to provide the tarter sauce. Not the best experience tonight but also out of character for this good chippy!

Absolutely appalling service and lied to several times on the phone when expediting order. Told each time I called that order was on way. For 2 hours. Male person on phone did not understand his own app or process and became irate when app did not perform as expected. Used to order regularly. Never again. Avoid and order from nonna Ginas or piccolina e vino.

Been using this chip shop for many many years. Over past year food quality has become disgraceful. No taste to chips, sausages like rubber, fish such a disappointment. Cost cutting should be done to overheads, not the quality of the food. I put meal straight into the bin… I didn’t even give some of it to my dog! I will certainly never return.

Unbelievably bad . Due to covid waited outside. When arrived home not what I ordered. Although collected every thing was cold and needed reheating. Battered fish were greasy stuck together pulled apart when trying to separate . Chips were less than al dente. Ordered 1 special supper and 1 special fish received 2 special suppers . Also 2battered suppers received 1 supper and 2 battered fish. Watching grand kids in emergency or I would have gone back.£32 for this quality !

Dried cold fish, thinking it has been cooked and lying on heater, chips stale. Tasteless!!! Got 7 pieces of scampi in my scampi supper. Overpriced dreadful food.

Got to be slowest chip shop in Glasgow. They concentrate covering phone in orders whilst “walk in” customers are left standing around waiting until they fry more food..just walked out ...won’t be back. They have no interest in customer service.

Whats gone wrong. A few months ago my family and I bought a takeaway, I had a hair fried into the fish batter, bloody disgusting. So i thought id give them another chance, so tonight we bought a pizza and fish supper, the tomato base resembled tinned tomatoes, what the f..k!. The chips where disgusting there's summit wrong with the oil, come on guys, taste your food before you sell it to your customers.

We went to get fish and chips and sausage supper and it was dreadful, the sausage was a kids size although meant to be an adult portion. The fish was small and so soggy, really horrible. We were all so hungry but had to leave it as it was really terrible. We wont be back.

I could not pay with my bank card. Staff unfriendly . Fish supper was very disappointing with one fish being mostly tough batter. Chips pale.

Telephoned and ordered 5 meals. My wife dropped in to collect and pay with her bank card, only to be told abruptly “ we only take CASH” What makes it worse is that she was then told there is a bank up the road, which...

Great food and top service always deliver on time with happy corteus staff, I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants a chippy in the Mearns.

Quality of chips can be variable but fish is usually good with crispy batter but the Special Fish is something really special being a large piece of fillet (or two) expertly deep fried with breadcrumbs.

The food is nice. BUT NO NOT ORDER AS TAKEAWAY. Two hour wait for tepid food and as always it doesn’t matter if you ask for salt and vinegar or put it in the comments they won’t bother. Indifferent staff “sorry”.

A spotless newly renovated dish and chip shop. The special fish supper is as good as it gets. Great for comfort food.

Ordered through just eat turned up over 35 minutes late past the time , no update saying going to be late and the batter on the fish all soggy under cooked , pizza crunch and king rib like eating soggy cardboard and the chips so...

Went on Friday to get fish and chips. The food was good however, the service was not. Both the members of staff were disinterested. No thank you or good bye. Not the first time this has happened.

We always visit valentinis for fish And chips. The special fish is great and so large that it is enough for two. My son especially like the sausage suppers and the oven bakes pizzas.
