Turtle Bay in Swansea

Really nice place even though a lot of the menu was unavailable at the time we went hence the 4 star otherwise good was lovely .

Came for lunch and had a wonderful experience. The service from Mystique was warm and friendly. She offered great recommendations and we loved our food! It was very tasty. The drinks by Charlie were also fantastic. Will definitely be back!

#4th visit to our favourite restaurant for a Date day with my Luscious Fiancee 😍today (2/11/24) as usual greeted nicely by the staff, booked Bottomless Brunch and was swiftly served 😁 Food was great as usual and the cocktail 🍸 range even better with a few new additions (Lychee daiquiri) highly recommend 👍 Also would like to shout out to our server Caitlin who is the 2nd time we've had her serving us and is a credit to your Swansea workforce 😍 will be back soon #ONELOVE 😍 PS Cocktail Onelove tastes different to last visit so perhaps need to revert back to original recipe if it has changed?? 🤔

Excellent initial service by Connor and Joe, the latter very quickly asking us what drinks and starters we'd like! Ab cooked up something amazing, one of the quickest meals I've eaten in my times out, very tasty! After a wonderful service, Megan helped us promptly with our dessert decision and was very charismatic from start to finish. Props to all the Turtle Bay staff tonight for their help. I had a thoroughly enjoyable experience!!!

The food was amazing and the service was really good, I'm sure the atmosphere is normally really good however whilst I was there it was a bit quiet.

Don’t bother wasting your money. We ordered a cocktail, waited ages then they brought mains. Asked about cocktail, they said it would be with us shortly. Cocktail arrived, much smaller glass than the couple beside us, think they had forgotten us so went with what they had. Prawn curry sauce very watery, boring compared to others I’ve had. Had no sweetcorn sides and a number of other options, including drinks such as iced tea. Table was still dirty & fork had dried on food. Gutted we chose this restaurant with so many other places to choose. Pick somewhere else whatever you do!!!!!

Great menu and vibe but let down by poor service. Very slow service every time we visit - the awareness of staff that customers might want to order more when they have finished their food/drinks seems non-existent. This is the same whether there are lots of customers or whether it's very quiet as it was when we visited last week. Seems a lot worse than the Cardiff Turtle Bay and other restaurants in Swansea. Desperately needs QR notes to order food and drinks.

The food at Turtle Bay Swansea really let down the whole restaurant. The waiting staff were absolutely lovely as were the bar staff who did everything they could to make our experience really nice, but the kitchen let it them down massively. The food took nearly an hour and a half for it to come out. We were warned that there was a 40-minute delay on the food but after an hour it got excessive and then we had to continue to wait even longer... The cocktails were made really nicely and we enjoyed them whilst we waited. When our food finally came out lots of it was cold as it had been sitting waiting on the shelf for the rest of the food to be made. We were a party of seven so I understand this as larger than normal but it's still not a huge table size. The jerk chicken wings were absolutely soggy in a watery sauce which we actually left and didn't eat. The Kingston Fried Chicken came out cold as did the squid which meant that it was all tough and chewy. We spent nearly £250 and everything felt mediocre and rushed. A service charge was added onto our bill automatically which we thought was a bit cheeky after such a fiasco. We left it on there as we felt that the waitress deserved it after all of her running around, but actually the restaurant didn't warrant it as the food was atrocious and the kitchen was slow. It wasn't a particularly busy night, there were so many empty tables. Not the best experience of Turtle Bay and we definitely won't be going back. Such a shame as we really enjoy Jamaican food. I hate leaving a negative review as I absolutely love eating but the food really didn't live up to expectations.
