Fantastic food, will be back soon.

Although we visited on Mother's Day, it wasn't too busy. Food was very good, but service perfunctory at best. Long wait between starters and mains, which was a challenge with 3 kids at the table and at no stage of the wait were we approached by any of the waiting staff. Had to ask for a jug of water twice and my wife ordered a second diet coke which never arrived. Also, waited too long for our table to be cleared after eating so I could ask for the bill, so I just ended up going up to the counter to pay. All in all, not a bad experience, just ok. Maybe caught them on a bad night, but I'll not be rushing back.

Great Asian Restaurant with delicious Thai and Far Eastern cuisine. Make sure you book as this place is VERY popular everyday of the week. The Pad Thai is especially good and thoroughly recommended (best I've had anywhere in Europe).

Food was great as always. Two of our party couldn't make it last minute although they had only set table for 6 anyway instead of 7 but still wouldn't allow full deposit because apparently they could have reused the table... how I've no idea. Also over charged corkage and then 2 minutes past 2 hours slot told us next party had arrived and we had to leave... the other party hadn't arrived at all! Left a sour taste in our mouths... One of our party also asked 4 times for toothpicks before we eventually got them!

Amazing food, exceptional service. Delicious food. Super accommodating for me as a pescatarian coeliac! Came after years of recommendation and it was excellent. Fresh tasting and authentic cuisine.

My usual takeaway was closed so we tried to order from here. Walk in and was told they do takeaway orders in the shop but we're happy to take my order for delivery. I didn't order.

Let me start by saying that I’m blown away by everything about this place! The food that we had was a solid 12/10. My friend and I originally ordered one main each, mango & coconut and the sea bass. It was so good that we asked our server to give us the menu again and we ordered 2 more mains each. Being aware that we may be spending a longer time at out table, the server was very enthusiastic in making us feel comfortable to enjoy our meal and assured us that they were happy to accommodate us even longer. The service here is excellent! Friendly and home-y. It feels like dining at a family’s house. The place definitely passed the vibe check. And again, the FOOD! I think I might be dreaming about the meal we had for the next couple of weeks! Top-notch food, excellent service, amazing vibes! Slay the house down bootsss!

The restaurant was very busy when we arrived. The music level and tunes were just perfect were you could hear everyone at your table but not others. The food was fantastic beyond what i expected. Duck wraps are a must. Highly recommended.

Lovely family reunion dinner at The TukTuk Asian Bistro. Always happy have been returning once every now for the freshly cooked south east asian meals. Staff were friendly, attentive and very friendly! Atmosphere is great and highly recommend for anyone wanting a taste of authentic asian food!

Food was excellent but service was very poor. First time at the Bangor Tuk tuk and was a disappointing revelation that although we opened our own wine and beer it cost us £4.50 - there were no prices on the specials but the one we ordered was £5 dearer than the dishes on the menu. We would have had a desert but staff were too busy setting up tables for tomorrow to come back and take our order. Will get a carry out next time!

I was expecting great things based on the reviews and awards. The staff was friendly and efficient, the place is attractive and the food was disappointing. I think it’s probably been great in the past but now maybe not trying very hard.

I took my wife to tuk tuk last Saturday night on a date night, the meals we had were really tasty, we both had the curry puffs to start with, I then had the seabass my wife had the Vietnamese chicken and black bean sauce with jasmine rice both meals fresh hot and delicious, staff friendly and very noligable of every thing on the menu, we have a family meal coming up in April and this is where it will be held, looking forward to our next visit, thanks everyone for making it very enjoyable.

TUK TUK is the nicest place to eat sit in and also takeaway. All there dishes are exceptional, my favourite dish would be the Thai crispy duck with the salted chilli chips. The service was A star and I would definitely recommend.

Had a lovely lunch here with my dad a couple of days ago. I had Chicken Satay and the Tuk Tuk Special Fried Rice and my dad had Curry Puffs and a Chicken Pad Thai. They are very accommodating when it comes to modifying your order and I didn’t want any fish sauce in my dish and it didn’t come with any. The restaurant is not licensed so if you want a drink you will have to bring one with you, although this didn’t detract from the great freshly cooked food. My only ever so slight criticism is that even at lunchtime, the restaurant is quite dark, and for someone with poor sight or partially sighted this might be challenging. Other than this small thing, service was very friendly and quick and the food was excellent.

Takeaway for 9 people. A variety of dishes. Was delivered on time - food was freshly cooked and delicious. Chips were best I’ve ever tasted. Sauces fresh and full of flavour. Superb standard of food.

If you are looking for quality Asian food with lots of choice, this place is a must visit. It has become a regular haunt of ours because the food is excellent and the staff provide great service, especially Ethan and Will. Turn around is quick if you are looking for a quick bite to eat or you can equally make a night of your visit. You will not be disappointed, the food is hot, tasty and presented well. It is a bring your own restaurant so don't forget your favourite tipple when you visit for a small corkage charge. See you again soon!

Great meal yesterday, top quality nice surroundings and good staff

Happened to be in Bangor and stumbled into this place, while looking for another. It was fate! We managed to sneak in before the dinner rush and watched others get turned away. Make a reservation! The food was great and came out in a very timely manner, which is very important to us, as we have young children. I worked at a Thai restaurant before and ordered a couple of my favourite things. While a bit different from what I was used to, I was still very happy with my food. My wife was also very happy with her dish. We look forward to going there again, if we are in the area.

Heard great things, but was sorely disappointed, I opted for a mango coconut chicken dish, I struggled to eat it, tasted like chicken with Mango Yoghurt, she had a duck dish, fat not crispy, and was very bland, rice was good but chip were cold.

Visited here with my wife for dinner last week. Food was excellent especially the scallops and squid starters. Service was very hit and miss - started off brilliantly but then had to wait a good 15 minutes before being asked if we wanted any desserts and then another 20 minutes for the bill to come after having to ask twice. I don’t necessarily blame the staff as they were just very busy with a full restaurant and you could see they were struggling to get tables re laid for guests coming in and really trying hard, but maybe would have been worth another staff member being with them to take some pressure off, which is why I have given 4 stars and not 5. Will not put us off from coming back again though as it was overall a very nice and enjoyable evening.

Had dinner here last night and food was ok. Nothing to overly complain about but it was a little plain and definitely lacking something. On previous occasions it’s been a lot better. Service was pleasant. Toilet was dirty.

I was really looking forward to this as the place had been highly recommended. Up front, the review is based on a delivery, not a visit to the restaurant. First impression was bad. You have to book a 60 min delivery slot. Seriously. What kind of customer service is this? I expect to go to the end of the queue when I phone but if you are not busy I expect a better level of service than this. Even McDonalds are more efficient. Anyway, I perservered and ordered Thai Green curry with Sea Bass and Jasmin Rice. It arrived with a thin curry sauce, some brocolli, and 2 fillets of fish. The brocolli was a little wilted but that could well have been down to it being a delivery. The curry sauce was excellent, possible the best I have had from any restaurant locally. Really good. The fish was not so great. The skin was like soggy tissue paper and the flesh was overcooked. While I like new experiences, chewy fish is not one I would be keen to repeat.
