Food was amazing! Service was brilliant

The atmosphere was lovely, with attentive service and refreshing mocktails. Our sirloin steak, cooked to a perfect medium rare, was served with steak chips and a flavorful pepper sauce, just the way we like it. The lamb chops were also amazing, cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. We really enjoyed the dinning experience.

If you like your steaks I would say go somewhere else . Not sure what that was but my dog enjoyed it. Absolute waste of time and money .

So, apparently this chain is a reputable chain but upon eating the food, I was highly disappointed. Can I just say, maximum price we would pay for this food would be £12-14. The vegetables are obviously frozen veg, the mash is also obviously instant mash and the steak, don’t get me started on that rubbery piece of meat. The presentation looked like it was done by a toddler, i can say the only best thing that was edible was the spicy sauce that didn’t even come with the meal. I don’t know why you’d slather on peppercorn sauce over the steak and ruin the presentation. I recommend putting it in a pot and letting the customer serve the sauce as they please. Not to mention the “spicy sweet potato fries” which were just shredded cheese, onions and a slather of TOMQTO KETCHUP which we refused to eat as it was just disgusting and looked so gross. We spent the same amount we could’ve spent at Farmhouse which is WAY better quality, service and food. 0:10 - wouldn’t recommend to anyone or anything, wouldn’t feed it to a dog and probably gonna suffer immensely tomorrow if you know what i mean.

Bill for two - 41£ Toro's special with spicy rice and mashed potato. The rice and mashed potato were good. The meat however tasted more like a galouti kebab (iykyk). Ordered a medium well but it was done really well or cooked to really soft texture. Rump - the slices were quite thin and divided into two, I'd rather have one slice of 8oz meat. Fries and the spicy rice no complaints. Explosive shrimps - the plating could have been better, 6 prawns in the corner of a long plate leaving empty space which only adds to the quantity issue with the prawns. Taste was good. I'd order it again if the quantity would be like 7-8 prawns. Ambience: was okay to good. Music not okay. I'd rather have up beat music than heartbreak music. Visit the place with cash in your wallet as they do not yet accept card payments.

Top marks for food and service. Went with young kids and they were extremely accomdating.

We’re regulars here and travel from Birmingham. Excellent service provided by the amazing staff. Steaks are always consistent in taste and cooked how you request.

We went for my sisters birthday on Wednesday evening. The food was so good and great staff . We were very happy with restaurant. I would definitely go back .

Not sure why so many negative reviews, but we enjoyed our visit. Steak was cooked well and quality was good. Starters were nice. Only criticism would be not a fan of the chips. Otherwise would recommend

Burger was terrible for price, when I walked in and spent a tenner expected a good burger but instead got a burger with a beef Pattie and too much sauce. I recommend to go steak house if you solely want a burger which is worth the price.

Fast speedy service, great food!

I have been here a number of times, food is always good and decent portions. Last time I went for the Toro's special because almost everyone at the table ordered this and recommended to me , I liked it and can recommend it. Service is decent, can't complain and decent prices. Definitely to be tried. The place itself is not particularly a new build, could do with a little decor

So me and my husband decided to go toros in Coventry for the first time since it moved from foleshill to the city centre. I chose to ignore the bad reviews. Big mistake. We ordered the toros special which came out in 10 mins and the meat was dissolving like powder in my mouth. They clearly use meat tenderiser to cook it quickly but they must cake it in the stuff it tasted so rubbish they ruined the meat. I was so dossapointed. If your spending near £18 on 4 pieces of meat you want it to be cooked properly enough for it to be edible. I mean I ate it but I didn't enjoy the meat what so ever. The staff was very nice though, very friendly but the food a big let down unfortunately, I won't be telling family or friends to visit.

Sorry but not impressed with the staff & general attitude’ steak did taste good to be honest’ but the toros special is just few bite size kebab not actually a steak. Not value for money ‘ won’t recommend!

Poor quality steak, did not seem fresh. Also the sides of mashed potato and spicy rice seemed like they were cooked the day before. The rice burnt my tongue, it’s like it came out of a furnace. Waitress was a bit patronising.

You honestly cant go wrong with this place...top quality food & service every single time!!!! Steaks are seasoned perfectly & arrive sizzling on a bed of crispy veggies & sides of your choice...their dessert brownie sizzler is absolutely divine..best to order the bigger portion...only reservation is that they dont accept card payments which is real pain for people like me who dont carry cash all the time & parking is a nightmare in Coventry city centre but apart from that's it's pretty decent:)) would reccomend keeping some colouring books & crayons to keep the kiddies occupied whilst the adults enjoy their meal! X

Not worth the price. We paid quite a bit for overcooked, chewy steaks that came in an excessively hot sizzling plate that kept cooking the steak in the table. Sides were also on said plate which eventually started charring the veggies and chips we ordered. The sauces were the only good thing. Also no alcohol was served and they don’t take cards. You’re better off buying the steak and cooking it yourself for that price.

I like the kids menu the chocolate brownie sizzler but the chicken steak and Toro special steak medium rare could be improved in flavours.

By far the best Chocolate Brownie and the best Peri Peri Chips I've ever had. They were absolutely delicious. The Fillet Mignon was nice and juicy and cooked to perfection. Would definitely go there again and recommend to everyone.

The worst ribeye I've ever eaten (felt like chewing on rubber) while paying top price for the privilege! Same experience for all three steaks we ordered for the family, so paid 75 quid for a meal we wouldn't have eaten for free!

The best toro's experience. Everything was spot on. Got to say. So much better then the one in Leicester and definitely better then the one in Birmingham. The staff were amazing. If only we got their names. The shop floor was managed by 3 amazing girls. It was well managed. Their so friendly. Kids friendly. And the food, portion size, we can definitely say we enjoyed it. We rather travel abit out and enjoy the food, instead of not enjoying it locally. Definitely recommend the Coventry toro's..

The service was great food come out on time great flavours great food loved it. The meat was nice and soft not chewy at all.

Waiter recommended that we should go for Premier Steak (£29.99, over the standard £12.99 rump) which he said more than double the size of the standard It came and was TINY. The waiter argued that it was because we got it as Medium Well and so it shrunk. We stood our ground and grudgingly got another "premium steak" on the house Be careful of the service

Ordered via deliveroo, I ordered what was ment to be lamb steak and rubber rings or so called calamari, totally wrong in every way the lamb was pure fat on a bone calamari was solid rubber the chips under cooked , disgusting total waist of £22 and a Saturday night dinner ruined, WOULD NOT RECOMMEND

Visited Toros Coventry recently. The restaurant is conveniently located in the city centre with ample parking nearby. The staff were welcoming and friendly. I had the T burger which was thoroughly disappointing. Others in my party had chicken and said it was just about average. With the amount of new burger places opening up they need to up their game. I didn't try the steak and to a certain extent really glad that I didn't.

Somewhat disappointed. Chicken leg was fine although the size was small. Spicy rice tasted like tomatoes and a bit of chilli was added, but was bland. Pasta tasted like Tesco's tomatoes pasta. T burger was very disappointing. Sweet potato chips was fine.

With friends we Brought a special toros steak with mash and spicy chips. The steak itself tasted like a very cheap cut and as if it was marinated in salt and vinegar to make it tender. But the lingering vinegar taste made it inedible chewy and taste disgusting. The mash patato was raw and tasted like cardboard and the only decent thing was the spicy chips ( paid extra for chips literally normal chips covered in abit of sauce lol) But not a very good experience my friends who ate have been sick since. I did not eat the steak after the first bite so I was fine. I really think out of all the torros ( all steak establishments in general ) I've been to this is the worst. I can only go as low as one star but in reality he would have gotten zero. Rotten/bad steak Uncooked mash patato Food prepared late. Store says it accepts card but on arrival says they don't. Didn't care when called to say how bad the meat was. No masks worn by staff Sanitiser is more like soap that doesn't dry. L

I had ordered toro’s special steak..I was very disappointed with the steak considering they were charging premium price the food was really bad, my steak was sooo chewy I could not eat it and it had an acidic vinegar taste to it.. I then rang toro’s to tell them, the guy on other end was not bothered did not even offer replacement will not be coming to Coventry toro’s again.

I ordered a torro's special for takeaway and it tasted horrible. Steak tasted like it had been soaked with vinegar, and chewy, and the rice tasted stale. It did not taste like the meal i have had in Torro's in the past.

Fave place to eat out, excellent customer service and high quality food.. toros special is my fave with sweet potato fries and pasta mmmmmmm. Cant wait to go back after this lockdown

Just came here for my sisters birthday meal and received amazing and attentive service. The food was cooked perfectly and we throughly enjoyed it all. The manager is a very kind and lovely lady. Will definitely be coming here again, I would recommend the owners have card facilities set up and tap water served.

Ordered rump steak today for collection. The picture advertised is nothing like the steak you get at all. full of chewy meat very stringy quite possibly the worst steak I’ve ever eaten.

Parking is a pain as the location is in town. Cash only no card is also inconvenient as with covid regulations it's just easier to use card. Steak is good I opted for a chicken steak sizzler with pepper corn sauce which is always a safe bet with pasta and chips. Served on a bed of grilled onions and string beans. Got some extras a fried egg and extra onions. Egg was good extra onions arent the grilled kind. Place is decent if you like steak.

Paid 15£ for 2 small pieces of chicken and 20 pieces of fries which were tasteless .

Absolutely disappointed with the service and the food, we was sat next to a window near the entrance baring in mind it was cold and we asked to be moved because of a damp smell near the radiator but no one came back to us, the one steak was raw when ordered medium rare the waitress then questioned us and argued with us when we asked for the steak to be cooked for extra time. The pasta had a bitter taste, my steak was ordered, as a well done steak but it was that over cooked that it was mushy. The staff did not offer any compensation for the inconvenience, we spent £100 between 3 people and the service and food was not worth even a £1 of it, I don't usually come on here to review my bad experiences much because some business deserve the benefit of doubt but this place and the staff are just rude.

Food was spot on! Couple of things They could improve on is service levels forgot my starter but food came quick so not too much of a problem. Asked for medium well came medium rare but again was fine as tasted delicious! Definitely worth a visit as foods extremely nice!

Very rude waitresses, waiter was nice, but the 2 ladies were very arrogant and rude, we waited at the door and one of the ladies stared at us from afar until i walked forward, even still she said nothing until we asked what was happening. Very unprofessional and very rude, would not recommend.

Ordered online from deliveroo, was really impressed at the size of the sirloin steak (14oz) which came with chips and vegetables and all under £16, was going to order from another place til I realised their steak was £21 for 6oz!! Glad I didn't, really impressed with this place, huge portions to easily feed two people!

I came into eat with a friend staff were very friendly especially our waitress she made sure we had the best service I managed to get her name (Sadia) ask for her as she was so helpful and gave us the best experience. Women in charge was also so polite, food was amazing ordered the chicken Filet.

1 star as the the waiter and waitress were very kind and quick to assist. We sat down and were not told that we would have to order at the counter (we usually go to the Birmingham ladypool road toros where they take your orders at the table) after waiting for a while we were quite frustrated and asked the manager who informed us that normally they would take our orders at the table however for some unknown reason they are asking customers to order at the counter (this would not have been a problem in any way however we were told a good while later) then she followed up by telling us that we could only pay via cash. We were also not informed of this until after the long wait. The food was very bland, they were very stingy with the extras. There is no AC and the manager refused to open the windows. They could have easily put a fan in given the fact that it was roughly 29 degrees. No customer consideration. Portions of steak were very small. Waiter and waitress were kind and quick. The manager was not very accommodating. They gave tiny amounts of sauces in plastic containers (waste and no consideration for environment, both paper and plastic straws used- make up your mind. Birmingham branch gives customers bottles) Spicy rice was not nice. It literally felt like we were having btech toros. The waitress in a black pony tail and waiter with tattoos were very kind and professional. As for the manager, not so much.

I tried this place before with my friend and I am obsessed since then. I loved the fantastic mood and yummy dishes and drinks. I recommend this place.

Great food very fresh came out sizzling , very speedy service and very welcoming . Only cons are they dont answer the phone tries ringing 3 time just got a text back saying table bookings for 4 or more people ... also they dont except cards neither does the one in leicester but I think this is a more toros thing then anything I just think if you charge 20 pounds per person you should have a card facility all in all nice place to eat in a good area parking might be an issue depending on when you go .

I gave it the one star to be able to comment. I don't think I've ever left a review as negative as this. We ordered the explosive shrimps, Toros special steak and rump steak. I can't begin to explain how bad the food was. The steak was sour! The texture had nothing to do with steak. The shrimps were fried with oil that is probably really old and tastes bad. To be fair, the Cola was good!

Terrible, The scampi starter were still cold in the middle (almost frozen still), the Meat quality of the Rib eye steak was very poor (tough and tasteless). And when we came to pay they only accepted cash, which is fine but a warning at the start of the meal would have been useful. Also they do not serve alcohol, which is okay, but a bit odd for a steak house.(zero stars)

We was sat down by a waitress who was very rude, didn’t smile one and seemed to be in a rush. Ordered lamb chops for starters, the portion size was wrong and the “fresh salad” with the chops was old lettuce drenched in lemon juice. Ordered steak and chips for mains. Chips was burnt because it was served on a sizzler platter underneath the steak. Steak sauce was lumpy and thick. Found multiple hairs on the chips (which another waitress made up for it) but would not be going back here.

Used to come here all the way from Birmingham but today my Last time I’ll ever eat hear we ordered our food made us wait 55 min only to tell us the order wasn’t made never offered nothing and said will have to wait another 40 min walked straight out never again I don’t ever normally leave reviews for anything

The chicken steak tasted boiled and was hard/rubbery, the chips were dry and the mash was stodgy. Nothing like in comparison to the Birmingham branch.

Good food but absolutely rubbish service. I believe I was hosted by the owners son, who had appauling manners! Very rude and unpressional, aswell as intimidating. Tried to settle the disagreements yet he kept being snidy and rude! Everyone else was really nice and came to our table to apologise and give good service, but when the face of the name is not professional, it kind of defeits the purpose. Especailly after an embarrassing moment like that, don't think I'll be going there anytime soon! Amd didn't get an apology from him either

Wanted chicken but got told there was no chicken left by the owner and then all of a sudden other customers are getting chicken lol anyways in the end I ordered chicken wings with rice and veg and by god did they get it wrong instead of rice I got chips lol safe to say I wont be going back there anytime soon 😂😁😆😡

I went here earlier today for my son’s birthday and I could not fault the service and food. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The food was delicious. I highly recommend this place. Very good value for Money. The steaks and portion sizes are very generous. If your Looking for somewhere to eat in Coventry, definitely pay a visit.

Had a table booked for 10 people at 8pm. When arrived for my meal with the family I was told the table wasnt ready. Not very good customer services. So the end result was we was turned away. Told by the not so lovely lady at the counter she advised me to leave my review. Personally she dont look like she cares.

Giving them 2 star because they are clean and tidy, or else it would have been 1 or 0 stars. The steak tasted more like mince, not sure if they understand what the texture should be like. Quality need to be improved a lot, especially when they have steak competitors just across the road. I would not recommend the place unless they somehow improve the quality and taste.

Amazing food with great quality service.

Awful food, service was non existent. Staff are rude,waited over 50 mins for food. After I had ate the food, I was visiting the toilet more times than needed. My brother had a allergic reaction after having a prawn starter. They do not take card payments and make you search for atm. I would not recommend this to a dog let alone another human being. I If I could put a minus star I would, one star is being kind. I would have been better of going to Foleshill chippy. I would not eat here again,ever.
