Has to be the worst Chinese food we have ever tasted! It literally tasted of nothing, so bland, the prawn crackers had no flavour whatsoever and like cardboard! Threw it all in the bin and there was a lot of us so not just one opinion! I don’t like to leave bad reviews but this was awful

We’ve been using Top Wok takeaway for years and food is consistently good. Recommend the meals for two or three.

Having loved in Metheringham for a few years and the surrounding areas before that I an say without any doubt that this TAKE-AWAY is great. The food is always hot and tasty. The staff are friendly and prices aren't bad. It seems to me people who write bad reviews expect too much - if it was expensive I'd differ my view, but value for money is excellent. I've tried a lot of the menu and it is always flavoursome. Few other "local" Chinese TAKE-AWAYS don't stand up.

Family had a meal last night. While everyone else had no issues, my meal of Singapore rice and s&s chicken was very poor. S&s sauce very vinegary, chicken balls over cooked or re cooked. Worst of all within 30 mins of eating it was on the loo and have been most of the night. Place to avoid

We spent over £50 in this take away and literally ALL the food, including sweet and sour chicken balls, curry sauce etc all tasted of lemon. Not even a hint, it was potent!! Had potential to be a great meal but it was ruined by lemon flavoured EVERYTHING.

It’s ok but there’s room for improvement. The breaded chicken balls were nice but the sweet and sour sauce was way too lemony. The noodles were ok, unfortunately we didn’t like the beef. Maybe we will try different dishes next time.

I've been using this takeaway for the past couple of years and have always enjoyed what I've had. My personal favourite is the king prawn chow mein and the top wok rice is excellent too. My only criticism is that the batter is a too thick for my tastes. My orders have always been ready for the time agreed and has always been hot. Friendly and polite staff too.

New to area local Chinese take away. Basic usual type menu looked clean. Chips were nice is the only positive on the food. Sauces on both our meals were like slop and tasteless too. Will never eat from here again it was vile

Personally, I find many of their dishes to have too much sauce that's too thin - there's a suspicion that different dishes taste the same or similar. That said, one or two are very, very good - Singapore Chow Mein is my top choice and I always ask for it to be made very spicy, thought hat's a bit hit and miss and it's easier to have dried chili flakes on standby at home. Their chicken with cashew nuts is very good too, and things like chicken satay. Better yet, they make the best chips in the known universe and their pack of 10 mini-springrolls is superb. Nice, very pleasant people, top hygiene rating, it's good. A little more imagination with some of the dishes would make it very good indeed.

I would rather drive to sleaford or lincoln for my Chinese. The sauces are gloopy and set like jelly before you get them home, yuk. The only good thing on the menu are the giant pancake rolls.

There are 3 Chinese takeaways in Ruskington, 1 of which has eat in facilities. We use Topwok regularly for deliveries. You sometimes get free prawn crackers or cans of Coke. The ribs come in two full dishes, so ribs and rice feeds 2 for £8.40. There are several choices of sauces that you can have over your ribs. I wonder if they would do Half n half as there are 2 trays. Will have to ask next time. There are some light options too. Rainbow chicken, steamed chicken, I'm sure they would advise and accommodate requests. Note it is cash only...but there is a cash point outside one stop and one in the Co-op

During our stay at Tattershall Lakes, we decided that we wanted a Chinese takeaway in our cabin. Golden Hay had good reviews and was ready very quickly. We enjoyed all of the food except for the lemon chicken, which came as very dry fillets with a separate sauce. I’m not sure if it was a bit over cooked but it was not very nice. The chicken balls on the other hand (which also came separate from the sauce) were really moist and tasty. We would definitely visit again.
