Tonys in Dundee City

Finally, a chippy in Dundee that serves REAL mushy peas. Excellent. Take away food was hot and well cooked. Delivery sooner than expected. Friendly delivery driver.

I don't like anti English jokes . Won't be eating here again.

These guys are amazing. Ordered a lunch box for collection but it was short of my white pudding fritter. No biggie but I called to let them know. They only sent a driver out with a whole white pudding supper. Thank you so much. And the food was fab

My family of 4 had a fantastic takeaway from Tony's tonight. The quality and quantity of food was excellent. Will definitely be back when we're in the area. Highly recommended. AAAAA+++++

My old neighbour brings me fritters in usually and there amazing freshly done, but decided to change for a fish omg the batter is fantastic and there was actually fish in the batter not like some chippers I get, Thankyou Tony for something really nice to eat xx Ena Findlay

It was still hot when when I got home, the local chippy is a lot closer and is never hot when I get home

Had a chipper tonight, two meals. The woman behind the counter used her hand to pick up fish and fritters for the orders. I thought this unhygienic. I will not eat here again. Not just that, it was greasy. I'll be on the lookout for somewhere else. Not recommended.

I placed an order around 4.20 pm, 20 minutes after they opened. Unfortunately, somehow 2 out of the 2 items I ordered were unavailable, so I wasn't able to have what I initially ordered. I was told I'd get a refund for one of the items, we'll see if/when this happens. The food was barely warm-ish when it arrived, it was very greasy and oily and tasted and smelled like old, used cooking oil(bear in mind I placed my order 20 mins after they opened). Very disappointed, and kinda confused because I thought it'd be pretty good based on the reviews.

Had a fish super not bad size of fish batter a bit greasy for my liking. The chips where lovely and a large portion . Definitely would go back

Got 2 kids meals, portions was good, and food was very tasty, try it you won't be disappointed

Great chipper. Love the food here. Normally fast delivery too. Only 4 stars though as have had the odd order where the battery was soggy rather than crispy.

Just had a delivery of fish chips and mushy peas from Tony's, the wait not to long ( earlier than expected) it was hot, tasty, but my god the batter on fish was like chewing gum, I remember I ordered away back last year and stopped going there because of this so looks like it hasn't changed( used to be a great chippy when it was first opened) ps my poor wee mum took the fish out its batter and just ate the fish. Don't think I will go back sorry

Simply the best great fish 🐟 supper & fritters.

Normally good but after an hour and 25 mins wait fish was burnt and batter that hard couldnt get teeth threw it and the chips not cooked long enough

Had it delivered from Just eat. Even though the food is still warm, it's swimming in grease, chips are not crispy definitely under cooked. Not a fan of their fish batter else well, not the crispy flaky kind. They are probably very busy and I ordered via app, might explain the grease and undercooked chips

Since Tony's has changed hands, both the standard of food & service has drastically gone done hill. Service has been exceptionally slow, I have had parts of my orders been missed & they appear to prioritise JUST EAT, over everything else. I don't think that I will be returning.

Got a chippie tea tonigjt... Im afraid to say...that o received a battered smoked sausage....with a hair in it... My partner got a baked potato..and the potato was green inside... Good puckles and not bad fritters. Apart from that....he gonna be on the lav all night x

New owner since I was last there, chips much better the fish, well you get what you pay for.the outside looked as if closed could do with large sign ,but if owner happy with locals who am I to complain.

Food is reasonable but a bit tasteless

Yet another chipper falsely advertising King rib and selling some kind of sausage or lorn instead?? yes I am aware that King rib is made of minced pork.. maybe it just tasted more sausagy than rib because of the non existence of BBQ sauce that is usually in it 🤔 I ordered this a couple of weeks ago and it was perfect. I just hope this doesn't happen again, rib Is my go to chipper👌

Batter on fish not good,it's either chewy/stodgy or so hard can't break through it.....this was for pick up seemed more interested in getting their phone orders out

Terrible, waited ages for greasy soggy food, think your taking advantage of the locals, owner should take a visit to mordontes on arbroath rd, might be a little more expensive but you will definetly learn how to cook a chip properly

They we're really nice with us, good haggis and cod sadly not salted, my girlfriend was sad 😅

Missus ordered tea 1 chicken supper 1fish supper. Chicken supper ok fish supper really bad all batter no fish. Shared chicken between the two of us. Paid for 2 fed 1 very disappointed. Photograph of fish available if wanted. That's how bad it was that photos were taken

Gave 1 star and they were lucky to get that,Has to be the worst Fish and fritters I've had, half the fish was only batter and was solid and burnt,the fritters were so thin they were mostly batter and no potatoe, will definitely not be rushing back

Food came late, stone cold and the bottle of juice had been dropped so was flat. I have used them several times but never again, disgraceful paying good money for rubbish service and cold late food

Would give a no star review if there was the option. Got a munchy box delivered and when I opened the box it looked awful but gave it a go in the hope it would taste better than it looked, it didn't, it was rank, that much so that I had to spit out the chicken and polony fritter because they were undercooked. The pizza was rock hard and the food was either undercooked or overcooked, took a bite out of some of it but left the rest untouched because it was vile and swimming with grease. First time I have ever ordered from Tonys, never again!

This is by far the best chippy in Dundee! It's the only place I know guaranteed no bones in my fish and it's soft, white and fantastic crispy batter. I live in town and pay extra for delivery cause of the distance but I won't go anywhere else.

Half cooked chips batter on fish thick cooked on outside very soggy inside very expensive and not up to standards

Fantastic chip shop all food cooked fresh while you wait, pizza are amazing no frozen bases fresh doh and cooked in a pizza oven.

Tony's is an excellent Fish & Chip shop with options of fresh made Coffee & Pizza and access from early so if you work shifts or just in the mood for an early tea

On the dear side but worth it. Best chipper North of the kingsway.

It is the absolutely the BEST chipper I have been too and I've been to alot and TONY'S is the best by a MILE and should be no1 because it's not just the food that's excellent the service is excellent and last but not least the staff are helpful and polite also (i would give it 10/10
