Hi. Went here this evening with my husband and our 2 daughters. Oh my word, if you like fine dining, beautifully presented, imaginative dishes with exquisite flavour then this is the place to try. Hats off to Rob and his team. Couldn’t fault a single thing. My only regret is forgetting to purchase some of their homemade fudge (to die for). We will be back

Chefs counter great to watch the action. As good as a Michelin Star restaurant but lower price. Amazing how they can get such great tasting dishes

Our first visit to Toffs on Saturday 30th December for the 7-course tasting menu – although an appetizer, gorgeous home-made bread and home-made fudge, were also included. Small independent restaurant in Solihull town centre – open kitchen and option to sit at the chef’s table. Our table was at 6.30pm and we didn’t leave until just after 9pm, so allow plenty of time for a leisurely meal. We were both very full by the end! All courses were delicious – lots of ‘ahs’ and head noddings! Highlights for us were the crab (with curry sauce), bass dish and both desserts (apple and chocolate). Service was excellent – efficient and friendly without being pretentious. Wine started at a reasonable £7. With husband not being a wine drinker, larger was limited to just one type (which I’m told was very fruity) which was canned. Fantastic evening for a special occasion.

I would have rated a 5 but I like my beef medium rare not so well cooked but it's my own fault perhaps for not mentioning this. We had a five course lite tasting menu our favourite was the steamed place with hollandaise sauce so good now my taste buds mind lol The kopi luwak coffee was the best coffee I've ever had and I love coffee just wow. Service was great and place very welcoming will definitely be going back for more soon

I can only assume that the previous reviewer, Andry, went to a different restaurant. Rob Palmer, Toffs didn’t inherit the ambiance of Peel’s restaurant at Hampton Manor, Rob Palmer created it, with the inspirational chic foods there, where he worked for 11 years building up its reputation and quality before leaving to open his own restaurant, Toffs which isn’t a Manor House but is the perfect place to eat. Pricing:- cheaper than London and Birmingham fine dining restaurants. Service, immaculate, timings perfect to enjoy and savour a relaxed beautiful meal. Attention to detail couldn’t be faulted in any area, except the lack of advertising, I am hunting on Toffs website to find the Christmas hampers, a friend told me they now sell. Maybe slip in a note with the bill for customers to take home regarding what’s coming up. Teresa

Below the expectations. Inheriting the legacy of such a place like Hampton Manor comes with challenges. There is room for improving the balance of taste combining rough ingredients. Pairing a dish crafted from delicate ingredients with ice cream diminishes the aromatic experience. Attempting to blend conflicting tastes occasionally yields a bland result. Wine list to be reviewed. While the service is polite, it falls short of the expected standards considering the price point. The venue’s warm atmosphere contribute to a satisfactory experience. However the overall experience feels overpriced!

A girlfriend and I had an impromptu dinner at Toffs last evening, neither of us had been there before, but it was such a fantastic culinary treat for both of us. Toffs is in an unusual setting in the heart of Solihull, the restaurant is bright and open. G and I choose the five course dinner menu at £55 per person, it was a delight of colour, bursts of flavour and just the best food ever. We received two Amuse-Bouche, one of the lightest white crabmeat balanced on the shell of a crab, the other a tiny mouse of goat cheese and pickled shallot, we could have left happy if the meal finished right there, but we had just started on our first bottle of Masi and there were many more courses to go. Every single bite from the crusty freshly baked bread, to the volute, sea bass and sweet apple delight were simply magnificent. We had a lovely chat with Ross at the end of our evening who was charming, it would be great to see more of him and his warm personality interact with guests during the evening. The restaurant, team, food and wine were so wonderful, I really can't wait to go back. Toffs is certainly the very best culinary experience not only in Solihull but in the West Midlands and I can't believe I only just discovered it.

Another fantastic "special" night at Toffs. This time the hosts were Macallan Whisky. With Rob and his team providing an excellent 4 courses of the most delicious and perfectly cooked food ( as usual), accompanied by an excellent choice of wines with each course ( with a mixture of Macallan based cocktails.) the night could not have been better. The final act was the presentation and introduction of 3 aged single malts, with a goodie bag from the hosts. A truly fantastic night (again) with some good company and the best food in the area. Watch out for these special nights as they really are amazing value and a true experience.

Excellent Sunday Lunch. Beautifully presented food packed with flavour. The Sunday lunch menu is more affordable than the evening taster menus but still gave us the fine dining experience. Main course was decent size portion too and the beef was worth the additional supplement.

We booked here for my 40th birthday was very excited as I’d read on their website the owner was the chef at Hampton Manor. I was excited as I have eaten at Hampton a few times and loved the experience. Sadly this was miles apart in terms of both service and food despite making this link on their website and charging similar prices. After almost 3 hours, we were still waiting for 3 of our courses despite asking where the courses were repeatedly. At one point we had waited an hour with no food at all. A waitress took my cocktail away when I had only drank half of it and one of the waitresses was generally quite frosty (the other was lovely). At the 3 hour mark I asked the manager if we could leave and come to some arrangement over the bill as we had a babysitter waiting and still had 2 courses to go. His solution was to deduct the optional service charge! I said this was not acceptable as we hadn’t had all our courses. At this point to owner came over and was defensive and rude, despite the table next to us saying the same! The food tasted good but portions were absolutely tiny, even by fine dining standards. This honestly ruined my birthday and a rare child free night.

An amazing restaurant! We go every month...it's so good! Rume , the manager ensures top class, friendly service and the food is fantastic. Rob Palmer and his team are culinary magicians. We usually have the 5 course lunch...and a glass or two (sometimes a bottle) of Nyetimber. This restaurant uses local supplies and English wines as far as possible, without missing the chance for customers to taste the best of everything.

I love this place. Rob and his team are true professionals creating the most marvellous and exquisite food within the Midlands. We had the 7 course menu which sounds extravagant, but each dish was truly a taste of undescribable pleasure. I say undescribable because it would be insulting for me to underwhelm the reader with my vague, and probably boring excitement of the food I was tasting. I highly recommend Toffs as a place of quality and diligence to service.

My hubby was in Resorts World and saw this shop. Knowing I love Macaroon's he bought me a box and boy were they amazing. Absolutely delicious, probably some of the best I have had and I love the ethos of the business. Commendable. Will be buying some online for sure.
